You need to learn how to stand up for your friends. It is called commitment. But I have to give a warning right here: don’t be committed to evil. That being said, let’s look at the little story of Ann.
Ann just couldn’t hold it in any longer.
“Stop lying!” She lashed out at Janet and the rest of the girls. “Sandra is not like that. She is my friend and I don’t like that you are talking bad about her behind her.”
Imagine if you were a friend like Ann. You wouldn’t stand back and watch others run your friend down, saying wrong things about them.
I am sure Sandra would have been mightily happy to see how Ann fought to keep her reputation safe.
Being a good friend entails you shutting up people when they talk bad about your friend. You know what they are saying is not the truth. You want the world to know what the truth is.
Jonathan defended David before Saul. He knew the type of person and friend David was, that was why he was able to defend him. He didn’t care that his father would rebuke him. All he cared for was that no one would smear David’s name in the mud in his presence.
May God give you the grace to be a friend that stands to defend your friends, Amen.

In God, there will never, read that again, there will never be disappointments when you stay with Him. Everything in God is perfect. He is the master planner who never misses a bit. The problems we have are mostly self-inflicted.
Even at that, when we come back to God in repentance and ask for His mercy, He hears and ensures that our situation works together for our good and still ends up in victory.

The fire was heated seven times more, but the situation only became an opportunity for a miracle.

1. Take Care Of Her Needs A lady has many needs; material, emotional and spiritual
Love to a lady is spelled being there for her at such times of need. As a guy who loves her genuinely, you should show empathy for her needs.
Definitely, you will not be expected to meet all her needs especially since you are not her Jehovah Jireh.
However, the husband is expected to show concern and encourage her in those times of need. Don’t just ignore her needs and pretend as if those needs are not important.
Let her know that her needs are important. Let her feel well taken care of. One of the distractions and deception the devil uses for ladies is to make them feel that some other guy can take care of them better.
As a man, don’t let the devil have the opportunity of deceiving her, take care of her well.

2. Speak Into Her Life Words for a woman are very important. More so, words from her head, her priest, and her crown. Speak kind words to her.
Never lash at her with your words. Never hurt or wound her with your words. Such words go deep into her heart, causing deep emotional pains.
A lady can never be all she has the potential to become if all she hears from her husband are downgrading words. Take up the role of a high priest in her life.
Keep speaking God’s word over her life. The lady is like a vine, which initially looks weak and has to coil around a wall or stake but later develops deep roots and branches and becomes very strong.
3. Listen To Her There is no real love until you pay attention to her when she speaks.
The only way you can truly know a person is to listen when they speak. It’s from their words you understand how they reason, their opinions, and their viewpoints on issues
When your wife talks and you give her undivided attention, you are telling her she is important enough to listen to, that you value what she has to say so much, you want to listen, that she is intelligent enough in her conversation, you want to listen.
What you don’t understand is that when you treat your wife as though she is not intelligent, she notices, it affects her esteem and she begins to believe she is not intelligent and begins to act out what she believes.

Little children, believe in yourself. The book of Philippians has a wonderful verse you can commit to memory as children.
The thirteenth verse of the fourth chapter tells you what you can do as a child or follower of Christ.
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”
(Phil. 4:13 KJV)
Let’s see another version so you understand it well.
Imagine the possibilities you have access to do with this verse. The writer is showing you that you can do all you desire to as long as you have Jesus. Therefore my little children, believe!
Your strength doesn’t come from you, your possessions, friends, families, or education. It comes from Jesus. He gives you the strength to move on and accomplish everything you need to accomplish.
If there is a huge task or challenge in front of you, remember this verse. Say and believe it. Jesus will show you how to carry it out with ease. My little children, believe.
It doesn’t mean that you won’t do your part. You pray and act according to the leading of Jesus.
This morning, I want to specifically talk about oral sex as one major type of perversion.
Synonyms for this oral thing include cunnilingus, fellatio, sixty-nine, oral-genital stimulation, blow-job, head, and more.
Listen to me, there is a spirit behind this act that is totally anti-God. I saw the activities of this demonic spirit in a vision of the night.
In a very sad realization, the spirit has crept into the church.
Sometimes back, I had to deal with this when God sent me to a young girl, less than 20. God showed me what she was doing, but all attempts for her to own up so that she can be restored fell on deaf ears.
For months, I was on her case, but she denied it all. Eventually, it was a story of cancerous growth in her mouth, and in less than a year, she was gone. Like a candle blown in the wind, her life was truncated. Cut off in the midst of her days.
Aside from the health implications, you don’t want to be in a spot where you offend God.
Let’s take a look at the scriptures.
For this is the will of God, that you should be consecrated (separated and set apart for pure and holy living): that you should abstain and shrink from all sexual vice, [4] That each one of you should know how to possess (control, manage) his own body in consecration (purity, separated from things profane) and honor, [5] Not [to be used] in the passion of lust like the heathen, who are ignorant of the true God and have no knowledge of His will,

A few things you should note in that place.
What is God’s will? I will tell you. It’s right there in that verse.
God’s will is that you are consecrated unto Him.
And then it says, look, the will of God is that you should be consecrated which means that you should abstain from all sexual vice and perversion!
Then it says that you should know how to possess, control, and manage your body in honor!
That oral thing is a dishonor to God and to your person. The act is derogatory in itself. Your body is not to be used in a passion of lust! God will never “understand” the oral thing as a substitute for fornication. It will never be acceptable, there is no point buying a lie from the devil. Keep your body in honour.
Anybody asking for your nude, sending stuffs to you, asking you for the oral thing is not a friend. He is an enemy; an enemy of your soul. Do you know there can be handsome enemies and beautiful destiny killers?
Every time you dabble into sexual sins, something dies around you. Opportunities, favors, God’s blessings are at risk when you do these things, and that is exactly what the devil wants; to keep you in the grip of iniquity.
But the scriptures says without mincing words;
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
Romans 6:14 (KJV)
See the Message Translation as I conclude:
Sin can’t tell you how to live. After all, you’re not living under that old tyranny any longer. You’re living in the freedom of God.

Are you entangled in such? Time to quit!
Ask God to help you and cleanse you and for whatever reasons, never go back there again. Get accountable to someone. Let someone pray with you.

Every hanging promise over my life is being fulfilled today in Jesus name, amen.
Depression, discouragement, or moodiness happens to everyone at one point or another. As a couple, you are not also immune to this. Life happens and a lot of things have the potential of getting us down emotionally.
Your spouse will not have the solution to the problem but one of the dividends of a good marriage is having someone who can be a source of succor or comfort at such times.
We should also note that your spouse may not be an expert yet at knowing the right words or actions to take that will make you feel better at such times.
You need to learn to be patient with them. It may even be possible your spouse is also dealing with another form of pressure.
That is why it is good that each couple have a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit. He is the ultimate comfort who knows us better than ourselves. He will not only comfort us, he will strengthen us and give us joy and gladness for our depression.
The power of God’s word is such that His words become the rejoicing of our hearts.
However, we still need to be there for one another. We need to be so full or filled with the Holy Spirit that we are able to speak into the lives of each other at such times.

Some temperaments are more prone to discouragement than others, but whichever way, we must be a source of strength and encouragement to our spouse.
Here are few ways to be a source of encouragement to your spouse
1. Love your spouse genuinely I believe to be a source of encouragement to your spouse you have to have a deep and genuine love for them, where you almost cannot bear to see them hurting or going through pain. It is this compassion that helps you to be a source of genuine comfort to your spouse, where the love of God is shed abroad in your heart.
2. Have daily communion with the Holy Spirit What this does is that you are well equipped. He is the source of strength. The strength needed daily is gotten in the place of communion with the Holy Spirit.

Beyond learning at school, you get to relate with other individuals. Therefore you must learn how to be a responsible student. There are teachers, non-teaching staff, and your fellow students to relate with at school.
Every school has rules and regulations guiding its operations and existence. Students are meant to obey these rules and regulations at all times.
As a student, the first way to show responsibility is by obeying the rules and regulations of your school. Yes, to be a responsible student, you should obey the rules.
Obey your leaders, and accept their authority. They take care of you because they are responsible for you. Obey them so that they may do this work joyfully and not complain about you. (Causing them to complain would not be to your advantage.)

You should also ensure that you help other students to obey the laws of the school. When a fellow student is doing something contrary to school rules, you should tell him it’s against the rules. That way you have done your part.
Do not also follow other students to break the rules. Rather than do this, report to the teachers. Be a responsible student.
In class, ensure you are not causing distractions or joining others to do so. Your class is part of the school and whatever rules the class teacher lays down should be obeyed.
These are just some ways you can show responsibility at school.
May God guide your hearts towards obeying rules and regulations at school. Amen.

You get things done by holding onto it tenaciously – in prayer, in confession, in believing.
You must learn to cast down negative thoughts/imaginations, not embrace it. Gaining victory in your thoughts is something you should strive to achieve.
Don’t be lured into discussing your private life with mere acquaintances or any random person. When someone gossips another person to you, he/she is going to gossip about you to another person. If you mouth your issues all over the place, you will find it where you don’t want it.

I release the blessing over me and mine. Everywhere my blessing has been tied, I release it in Jesus name. I declare fruitfulness in my life.
As we conclude on this topic, below are practical steps to take so as not to awaken love before time.

I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, till he please.

1. Don’t visit at ungodly hours. He’s alone, living alone, and then you decide to visit by 9.00 pm. Are you going for a night vigil? Never visit a guy at a guest house, hotel etc.
2. Don’t go and cook dinner for a single guy. After dinner, certain things usually happen. Don’t try finding out.
3. When you are together, don’t rest your head on his laps. He’s going to get a hard-on, and things can get messy from there.
4. Don’t rub at his chest, beards, neck, and so on. Don’t lean over on his chest. The hands would want to get busy. Those could be erogenous areas that will weaken your resolve. It doesn’t mean if you just finished speaking in tongues.
5. Don’t talk dirty with each other. Don’t start asking for his view about sex. Things can get really crooked fast and you might be discussing pornography soon.
6. Don’t press your breasts on him, while deceiving yourself that you are praying together. You are not only stirring up love, you are setting him on fire. You, him, heaven, and hell know that you are not praying. You will trap yourself that way.
7. Don’t tease him Don’t ask questions like “Are you really a man?” Stop asking him if he can really perform on bed. At that point, it is not the devil tempting you, you are the one tempting the devil.
8. Avoid prolonged hugs, kissing, smooching, All in the name of greeting each other.
9. Stop discussing past sexual escapades. Stop telling him how many guys you have slept with. Stop describing graphically your past sexual escapades. If he is not a mature Christian, he will feel cheated and will want to have his way with you as well.
10. Stop watching romantic movies together. Your bodies will long for each other. If you continue, one day, you will find yourself in the land of perpetual compromise.
I can go on and on, but I’m sure you already have an idea of what I mean by saying you should not excite love. May God grant you more understanding.

Don’t get competitive with yourselves, you are one! A competitive heart will hinder your prayers.
Love each other genuinely and be committed to your spouse’s success. The success of the husband belongs to the wife and vice versa.
It is so important that you rally around yourselves.
Trying to be successful in other to “show” your spouse is nothing but yielding to the flesh.
Oh, Pastor, what am I supposed to do? You sure don’t know my spouse! Well, my dear, you are supposed to walk in love.
Love will always bring victory.
Be committed to doing it in God’s way.

You can’t expect people to always be the same. They are humans like you and have to deal with so many things.
But one person will never disappoint you. He is Jesus, the son of God.
In the book of Hebrews, we see how the son of God remains the same forever.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.”
Hebrews 13:8
This verse is saying that before you were born, Jesus was loving and kind (yesterday), and He is still the same kind and loving person He is today, and that He will still remain loving and kind tomorrow and forever.
So, you can see how Jesus has remained the same all through generations. He was kind and loving to your great-grandparents, grandparents, and parents.
He will be and is kind and loving towards you as He will be to your children. He will never change towards you. No matter the sin you commit as long as you ask for forgiveness, that’s it.
Let this be a weapon to use when the enemy tries to tell you that Jesus will fail you. Tell him that your Jesus will never fail you.
May the Lord’s love continually surround you all the days of your life. Amen

By the power in the blood, I disarm principalities and powers sent to work against my relationship/marriage. I nullify every demonic influence around me. The devourer will not come near my finances. My harvest is sure. I am exempted from negative generational patterns. The mercy of God avails for me in Jesus’ name.
There comes a time when love should be stirred up hundred percent, consistently, daily, and without caution. That is in the domain of marriage.
But as singles, you need to be careful around your loved one not to provoke him, especially, if he is keeping the faith and refusing to compromise.
You see when you are in love, your emotions are in overdrive most of the time, you are at the borderline of compromise and messing up most of the times you are together. You can help him a lot by your deliberate comportment.
