There are people who don’t know about Jesus. They could be around you or not. Even if you can’t evangelize to them, you too can pray.
Pray that the Holy Spirit will help them to accept Christ into their lives. They could have heard about Christ and still be unwilling to accept Him. It’s only the Holy Spirit that can convince them of who Jesus is and make them yield to Him. Yes, only the Holy Spirit can do that; it is not in your power to do that.
Make prayer also, for those who have never heard of Christ before. Pray that they will have an encounter with someone who would tell them about Jesus. And that once they are spoken to, the Holy Spirit will convict them.
God loves it when we make prayer for people to know Christ because He wants everyone to enjoy the benefits of having Christ in their lives.

Oil For Today – Day 196
The joy of the Lord is my strength. Nothing steals my joy. I am not weak in the spirit realm. I am excited. I am cheerful because God is my shield and defense. No sorrow, no depression, no moodiness. I recognize the attack of the enemy. I protect my joy. I have the strength to pursue, overtake and recover all. Today is a day of victory.
There is no doubt that God speaks to His people. For me, God spoke to me clearly while I was a student on the Campus as relating to relationships and marriage. God still speaks today. If you seek His face, He will speak to you!
He is a speaking God.
“Saith the Lord’ is found over eight hundred times in the scriptures.
Jesus constantly speaks to us.
And your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way; walk in it, when you turn to the right hand and when you turn to the left. – Isa 30:21 AMP
The Holy Spirit is a speaking Spirit.
And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak. – Joh 12:50 KJV
He desires to lead us. Here a few things to note.
1. God will not speak to you outside of His word.
2. To hear God more, read His word the more. His word in your Spirit, prepares your Spirit like a receptacle to hear God.
3. When you seek His face, you will hear Him speak to you.
4 Fasting and prayer often help to hear God more clearly.
As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. – Act 13:2 KJV
5. Relationship and marriage should not be the first issues that arise when you are trying to hear God. Try developing hearing Him in other areas as well.
6. God is particular even with the minutest details of your life, and when you learn to relate with the Holy Spirit like you will relate with a friend, He will always speak to you, like a friend will speak to you.
7 When God shows you a guy, clam down, don’t get suggestive, let him discover too. The lady is not the aggressor; she is the responder.
8. When God shows you a lady, it is just information because you are His child and fathers speak to their children. You are His friend. So He tells you of what is to come. Jesus said when the Holy Spirit comes, He will tell us of things to come.

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I will hear God clearly about my life and marriage.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY Pray for the spirit of discernment.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Isa 30:21[AMP] And your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way; walk in it, when you turn to the right hand and when you turn to the left.

Giving Your Waking Moments To God In Your Marriage
There is something about the Morning. There is something about giving the first to God that makes the rest of the day blessed. God wants to be involved in our day. There’s no way He can be involved if you don’t intentionally invite Him.
You don’t wish God to intervene in your affairs, you pray Him to intervene. God does not just burst into our life, He must be invited.
You have not been configured to struggle through life all by yourself. This life is a wicked world. There are so many evils. The wickedness of the wicked is on the increase.
The concept of early morning has since been. Let’s see some examples
1.Abraham
And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD: – Gen 19:27
2.Joshua
So Joshua rose up early in the morning, and brought Israel by their tribes; and the tribe of Judah was taken: – Jos 7:16

3.David
Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early. – Psa 57:8
When you give God the best and prioritize him, He releases His blessings. The help of God is what you need in life.
That marital issue, the health challenge, the lack of job, lack of profiting in your business endeavors, lack of favor, overwhelming bills or debt etcetera, will all be a thing of the past. As you lift up your voice to God early in the morning and provoke the morning, He will answer you.
That is why we are online every morning.
God told me and my husband to pray with our audience early in the morning and there will be testimonies.

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I give my waking moments to God
PRAYER FOR THE DAY Ask for diligence and strength to build a vibrant prayer altar
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Gen 19:27And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD:
Yesterday, we talked a bit about your thoughts, and learnt that we should guard our thought pattern. Today, we will talk about your words and actions. Your WORDS receive the baton from your THOUGHTS. They continue the race but if your thoughts leave the racetrack, they make your words run the same way.
Your words do as they like also and continue to the race.
Your ACTIONS finish the race. Whatever way your actions pass the baton to them is how they will finish it. If the baton is received wrongly, the race will end in a disaster.
Disaster can only be averted if the race starts well with your THOUGHTS good and passing the same goodness to your WORDS who pass this same goodness, finally to your ACTIONS, who end it healthily.
The only way to have a healthy ending is if you know and remember what the word of God says about your thoughts, words, and action.
To obey God is a sign that you love Him. And God likes it when we obey Him. It makes Him bless us more and more.
Be careful about what you think. Your thoughts run your life. Prov. 4:23 ICB
May the Lord help you with your thoughts, words, and actions. Amen.
Prayer: Lord, help my thoughts, words and actions start and finish their relay well in my mind. Let me guard my thought well in Jesus’ name. Amen
Action point: Check your thoughts always, watch your words, don’t jump into acting instinctively. Pray about these three areas.
Declaration: My thoughts, words, and actions are guided by the word of God.

Confession For Today
Oil For Today – Day 195
Mercy is arising on my behalf. Favor is arising on my behalf in 2022. Arise oh God on my behalf. Every battle is won. Every storm is silenced. By the blood of Jesus, I have the victory. Holy Spirit is my helper. I enjoy peace all around and in all ways. I overcome today.
This is the concluding part of this series. I hope you have been following diligently. and you are taking note of what to do before love turns to shock.
So what do we do? Keep on sinning so God can keep on forgiving? [2] I should hope not! If we’ve left the country where sin is sovereign, how can we still live in our old house there? – Romans 6:1-2 (MSG)
The grace of God is to deliver you from sin, not to keep you safe in your sin!
9. Character Defects
When you see obvious character defects, don’t close your eyes to them especially when he or she says he will change later.
Marriage changes nobody. Anybody that tells you he or she will change later is deceiving you. What do you do when you see character defects? Seek help! Don’t keep quiet.
10. Take a Pause
If during courtship or after marriage, you suddenly discover you never knew who you were in the same boat with, here is what to do.
In courtship, take a pause on everything until you find a solution. For example, if the issue has to do with physical violence or physical abuse, don’t just keep quiet thinking that marriage will soften him.
Don’t walk down the aisle into that kind of marriage, or you might need to soon run up the aisle and out! If you are getting slaps in courtship, guess what will happen in marriage? In marriage, divorce is not the first option. Look for a Christian marriage counselor or marriage therapist for help.
11. Long-Distance Relationships
If you are in a distant relationship or some online dating, you need to know that you will not have a distant marriage and you will not live online.
The reality must dawn on you never to make life-involving decisions without knowing the person very well. It is wrong for you to fall in love with a stranger.
Something is not quite right with falling in love with an online profile or some voice-over-the-phone! Marriage is not a game! It is a covenant!
12. We are Projects
Finally, we are all projects in the making in the hands of God.
Nobody is perfect, but there are things that are unbecoming for a child of God. When you see some of these things, it is time to seek help, or if intense, run for your life!
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I will not be in shock!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY Lord, help me to trust you.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Romans 6:1-2 (MSG) So what do we do? Keep on sinning so God can keep on forgiving? [2] I should hope not! If we’ve left the country where sin is sovereign, how can we still live in our old house there?
ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY Pray for insight, to prevent any kind of shock.
There is no condition you are, that does not require a level of stress. One of the greatest things one is looking for in life is rest all around.
Life is most of the time full of complications. Overwhelming work schedules, hustle and bustle of life, bills to pay, in-laws to take care of, relationship to maintain, a spouse to look after, spirituality to pursue, the standard of living to raise, health condition to battle with, and the list goes on and on.
But now the LORD my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent. – 1Ki 5:4
Solomon had the testimony of experiencing rest all around, where the people of Israel were prosperous, where all their wars ceased, all their struggles became rest.
It is this state of rest, every man is looking for. It is this same peace or rest Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace came to bring to us
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. – Joh 14:27
How can we have access to the peace of Jesus?
Did you miss out on yesterday’s devotional, we’ve got you covered kindly go HERE. For KHC video Devotionals kindly go HERE
We have access by the Person of the Holy Spirit. It is the communion with the Holy Spirit that gives us rest all around.
There are troubles all around us, the peace He gives remains. We are joyful in the midst of life’s challenges and He helps us to eliminate those struggles and He gives us wisdom and strength to deal with them.
So if you are experiencing struggles and you don’t seem to be able to maintain balance in every aspect of your life, I want to introduce you to the person of the Holy Spirit.
It is developing a relationship with the Holy Spirit that puts an end to your struggles. Let your waking moments be given to God In worship. Cultivate a relationship with the Holy Spirit. Learn to spend time in the presence of God. Practice his presence and your day, week and life generally will be blessed.
You will experience the move of God the Holy Spirit in your marriage in Jesus name
God bless our marriage!
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I have all-round peace in my marriage.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY Pray that the Prince of Peace will dwell in your home
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. – Joh 14:27
ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY Say the prayer for the day
Learn to guard your thought pattern. Have you ever watched a relay race before? Four people in a team will have to complete a set amount of distance, each covering a distance before passing the baton to the other person.
This continues till the last person takes the baton and finishes the race. The last person holds all the chances of the team either winning or losing the race.
Now, imagine your THOUGHTS, WORDS, and ACTIONS as members of a relay team. Who do you think will start the race? Who will be in the middle and who will end the race?
Be careful about what you think. Your thoughts run your life. Prov. 4:23 ICB
Your THOUGHTS will definitely start the race because they are what inspires or fires up the rest. Their speed is an advantage to the team. They birth the whole process and come from deep within you.
If you don’t teach them to run within the lines of the racetrack, they will run the race as they like and hamper the chances of the team winning the race.
Tomorrow, I will talk about your words and actions.
Prayer: Lord, help my thoughts, words and actions start and finish their relay well in my mind, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Action point: Check your thoughts always, watch your words, don’t jump into acting instinctively. Pray about these three areas.

Oil For Today – Day 194
I have the spirit of joy in me. With joy, I draw waters from the well of salvation today. I draw victory, I draw strength, I draw confidence, I draw boldness. I trust in God because He is my salvation. I walk on dominion over everything that the enemy meant to crush me. I walk in joy and gladness. No sadness, only joy throughout today. Today is a fantastic day
Keeping our family together during the tough times, challenging times and good times is something we must all strive to do.
The earlier we start to do these things, the better for us. It is better to inculcate certain virtues into members of our families as standard and allow them grow with it as the family grows.
Challenges in life are inevitable but we can go through whatever comes our way easier, if we have a supportive and encouraging family.
He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. – Luk 6:48
Let’s build our marriage and family on the rock. Let your spouse and children be solidly built, so that when the storm comes, they will not crash.
Did you miss out on yesterday’s devotional, we’ve got you covered kindly go HERE. For KHC video Devotionals kindly go HERE
Let me share five of those things.
1. Read God’s word together
Form a good habit of reading scriptures as a family. The children will love it and it will not be a burden reading God’s word when they are older.
2. Pray together
A family that prays together stays together. Where there is unity, God’s blessings abound. Your family knows how to pray by praying.
3. Eat together
Eating together is so powerful. Even Jesus eat the Passover with his disciples and teaches us to take communion.
4. Say the truth to each other and be sincere
Be open and truthful to each other. Say it as it is.
5. Go to church together
Your church is not a social gathering, it is the place you are being fed spiritually. It also affords you the opportunity to pay your tithe for your heavens to be opened.
When you do all these, you are building wisely and securing the future of your family.
God bless your marriage.
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I will build my house solidly
PRAYER FOR THE DAY Lord, help us to build according to pattern.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Luke 6:48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
As a marriage counselor for some years, I can rightly say that it is true some people really love the Lord, but along the way, there is a turn around. This can be due to negative influence, change of environment, pressure that comes with marriage, choice of career and so on. Whatever it is, when you find yourself in this kind of scenario, you need to quickly find a marriage counselor to talk to.
7. Meeting In Church Guarantees Nothing
When you meet a new person in a church setting, beyond falling in love with some height or some hot legs, find out how involved he is in church. Is he or she a worker in that church? How long has he or she been in the church? Does the pastor know him or her personally? Is he filled with the Holy Spirit?
All these do not guarantee a successful or stress free marriage, however, they go a long way to establish some credibility and spirituality of the person involved. This is a better approach than meeting someone in church and on the same day, you are in his house! You must learn how to protect yourself!
8. Renewal of Mind Factor
You need to know that being born again can be genuine and yet the guy or lady is still involved in some sharp practices. When you are born again, your spirit is regenerated, but your mind is in the process of being renewed as you listen to God’s word.
This often takes time and is determined by how studious you are in the word and how much time you give to the study of God’s word. In the process of the mind being renewed, a lot of ‘sinful’ mistakes can happen. As long as they are not habitual, God will forgive and you will be okay. But when you do something habitually and unrepentantly, the conscience becomes seared and a religious spirit takes over.
Don’t get caught up with all the erroneous teachings flying over the place that grace will cover for your habitual sins. That you can continue sinning and grace will keep covering for you. That is an error from the pit of hell.
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I will not miss it in marriage.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY Lord, help me to trust you.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Jesus is one important person you cannot help but study about. Studying about Jesus is important, and the bible talks about Him all through from the start to the end.
You could start from the prophecies about Him, His conception, birth, death, and resurrection. These are key aspects of His life that will definitely benefit and bless your life.
Study what He did, how He did it, where He did it and why He did it. It’s a wonderful thing to study about Jesus. His whole being and existence is the bedrock of salvation.
And as you study, ask Him to bless you with a revelation about Him. Amen.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, give me more revelation about you. Help me know you more. Amen.
Action point: Take yourtime to study about Christ.
Declaration: As I study, there is illumination on my path.

Oil For Today – Day 193
I will not see shame. The Lord is my strength. Every distraction is taken off, I helped of God in every area of my life. I am not confounded this year. The Mercy of the Lord is on my life. I experience His lifting in Jesus name.
The issue above is one of the commonest statements of regret from the hundreds of people that I counsel.
“Pastor, he has changed…”
“Pastor, I never knew he was like this…”
“Pastor, before we got married, he was a leader in the fellowship, but now, he doesn’t go to church…”
“Pastor, during our courtship, he was so sweet, but now, he beats me up!
“Pastor, I never knew him because our courtship was a distant one…”
…And so on and so forth…
Well, what went wrong along the way?
Here are a few things to note.
1. There are pretenders out there.
There are people who will feign being in the faith just to get a ‘good’ girl that will not give them ‘problems’ in marriage. This is where Christian pre-marriage counseling comes in.
2. That you met somebody in church does not guarantee that he or she is a true child of God.
Anybody and everybody can attend church services for different purposes. Always seek counsel before you get involved with anybody.
3. Not everybody in the church setting is looking for God.
That is why phones and personal effects get missing in church. An angel didn’t steal them. They were stolen by people with whom you worship but with ulterior motives.
4. Let the leadership of the church be involved in your relationship and marriage.
There are some churches that have marriage guidance councils, these are not instituted to control you or spy into your private life but to guide you appropriately. Let your pastor be in the know. This is important because the pastor usually knows the committed ones and those who are insincere to an extent.
5. Learn all you can learn.
Get marriage tips and free Christian advice online. On KHC, for example, we offer free Christian advice for singles and married couples and you can get advice on marriage issues on our daily devotionals, and several other materials online. Don’t walk into a marriage ignorantly and so naïve that you fall for anything.
To be continued tomorrow…
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I will not miss it in marriage.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY Lord, help me to trust you.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
There are a thousand and one articles on what to do in marriage, and sometimes we are running to keep up.
At times, our roles as husband and wives are so complicated and sometimes we get confused and mix things up. We minor in the major and major on the minor.
I was also running this race to meet up and catch up with what I should be doing as a wife early in our marriage.
I discovered that every one of those articles had a core message. We could have 100 topics on marriage but the core message they are passing across is the same.
For example, we have articles that talk about dressing well for your husbands, how to cook, communicating well in such a way that shows true friendship, husbands treating your wife well, taking her out, remembering her birthday and buying her gifts, understanding each other’s temperament, and many more.
The Bible remains our marriage manual. Each of us should take his/her portion and run with it. We should pursue our role, not minding whether the other person takes up the challenge of his/her responsibility.
Did you miss out on yesterday’s devotional, we’ve got you covered kindly go HERE. For KHC video Devotionals kindly go HERE
I believe if husbands and wives can be committed to this, we will have fewer problems in our marriage.
Our manual as couples is in Eph 5:22- 26. Emphasis on verses 22 &23 for wives and for husbands verses 24-26
For wives, this means being supportive to your husbands like you are tenderly devoted to our Lord, for the husband provides leadership for the wife, just as Christ provides leadership for his church, as the Savior and Reviver of the body. In the same way the church is devoted to Christ, let the wives be devoted to their husbands in everything. And to the husbands, you are to demonstrate love for your wives with the same tender devotion that Christ demonstrated to us, his bride. For he died for us, sacrificing himself to make us holy and pure, cleansing us through the showering of the pure water of the Word of God. – Ephesians 5:22-26
In summary, wives should be supportive to their husbands and husbands are to demonstrate love to their wives with the same tender devotion that Christ demonstrated to us.
Now, every couple is to take this and fit it into their own marriage. Find creative ways you can show your support to your husbands as wives. Husbands, love your wives tenderly.
Meditate on these verses and begin to function in your roles. God bless your marriage.
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I choose to go with the manual.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY Lord, help us to follow the manual
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Eph 5:22 For wives, this means being supportive to your husbands like you are tenderly devoted to our Lord.
