Holding God By His Word

Holding God By His Word

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Look at another powerful, inspiring, and breathtaking verse in Psalm 139. Today, we are talking about holding God.

Psalm 139:14 – “I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.”

What is this verse telling you? How do you feel when you read this?

You should feel important and unique that your Yahweh says you are as wonderful as all His works.

Let’s break down this verse

“I praise you, for I am fearfully…

This means that you are meant to instill fear in the enemy’s heart because you are made of God.

“…and wonderfully made”

Never has the world seen a unique and one-in-a-lifetime person like you. The world has never experienced you before. Out of all the billions of people on the earth, none is like you.

“Wonderful are your works:”

Everything God made is wonderful, exquisite, and a blessing to all mankind. This same God made you.

“my soul knows it very well.”

The psalmist acknowledges that even his soul knows how great a creation he is. He knows that God didn’t make him ordinary. God made him be a special type of creation, different from all the other creations of God.

Write this verse down and memorize it. When people try to put you down and say you are nothing, tell them how the mighty God made you the most special of all His creations.

May the reality of how God made you always stick with you. Amen.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for how special You made me. I am special. I am special.

Action point:
Reflect more on this verse and write down the wonderful things you know about yourself.

Declaration:
I am wonderfully and fearfully made

What To Do Before Saying “I Do” Part 3

What To Do Before Saying “I Do” Part 3

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Continued from yesterday. You can read Part 2 HERE

Most importantly, a blessed man or woman can cast out demons. He or she can take charge of the spiritual milieu of the house. That is what you should go for.

Not a man or woman that will drag you to a herbalist’s house in your hour of need.

You need a blessed man or woman that can speak in tongues! Not just hot legs, but hot legs plus hot heart for God. That is what you need.

What is the purpose of marrying a beautiful lady with an empty head?

Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout is a beautiful face on an empty head. – Proverbs 11:22 (MSG)

Hey, ladies, KHC daughters, listen to me, you need a man that can intreat the Lord for you!

Further down in the chapter we are studying, that was what Isaac did for his wife!

And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived. – Genesis 25:21 (KJV)

Message Translation says Isaac prayed hard. You need a man/woman that can pray hard when you are down!

Two weeks before I got married, my wife collapsed and was hospitalized. It was an attack. My in laws did not know what to do. She was on drip for three days and had not opened her eyes.

When they told me over the qphone (those old NITEL boxes), I traveled to Abeokuta where she was, and discharged her. I put a stop to the attacks and asked that the life of God flow int her. She opened her eyes, sat up and asked for food. Even the doctor was amazed at the power of God.

That did not happen because I was a Pastor, it happened because I could intreat the Lord. That is part of the blessing!

I will have to stop here this morning.

May heaven assist you to find that blessed special man or woman!

Put your hands on your head, go ahead and speak in tongues a little.

I call your relationship blessed. I call your courtship blessed. I call your marriage blessed. I call your family blessed. I call your home blessed. I call your children blessed.

Now, I pray for you, by the unction on me this morning as I write, everything that looks like a curse, everything that is a departure from God’s promises over you and yours, is removed in Jesus name!

I have been commanded to bless, so with God’s authority over my life and ministry, this morning, I call you blessed!

Go out today declaring that you are blessed and see what the Lord will do today and in the next seven days!

CONFESSION OF THE DAY
I am blessed so I attract the blessed.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord I receive the gift of a blessed man

How To Honor Your Spouse – Part 2

How To Honor Your Spouse – Part 2

Reading Time: 2 minutes

We started this conversation yesterday and looked at how we can give honor to our husband and this can be our gate way to blessing. God has blessings in store for women who understands how to honor their husbands.

Today, I will show us few ways we can express honor to our husbands

1. Do more than is expected or normal for him

We have to do more than is expected. There are normal things that are expected of you as a wife, do more. Care more, love more, be faithful to a fault, be sincere to a fault, respect more than normal or expected.

Don’t just stay with the status quo, don’t just do a little, exert yourself, spend and be spent, give your self wholly.

So love your husband till he says you love too much. Until he says you have done too much, you have not done enough.

2. Take charge to meet their material need

You show your honor and respect for your husband by making yourself responsible to making sure their material needs are meant.

I am sure you will be thinking, are you not supposed to be the one to be taking care of? Your husband will take care of you but you will also look out for his needs. You don’t take him for granted. Let his need be your priority.

3. By acknowledging and recognizing the gifting that is on his inside.

Only you should be able to appreciate and celebrate the gifting of your husband. Even when others do not see any thing good in him, you should celebrate him like a billion dollar. Nobody must celebrate your husband more than you do.

Don’t let any secretary, colleague or mate celebrate your husband more than you do.

Be his number one cheerleader. Be his big fan. Be crazy about him. Laugh at his every joke, be filled with his love evermore.

To be continued…

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
My marriage is a blessing

PRAYERS FOR THE DAY
Oh Lord, do a miracle in my marriage today.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. – Heb 13:4 (KJV)

I Am Preserved By Mercy

I Am Preserved By Mercy

Reading Time: < 1 minute

This morning, I am here to tell you about the mercy of God. This is a very powerful concept that will change your life; great things happen by mercy.

Let’s look at the dictionary definition of the word mercy first.

The Oxford dictionary defines mercy as compassion or forgiveness shown towards an enemy or person in one’s power.

I am sure in one way or the other, you need the forgiveness of your parents and you definitely need the compassion of God.

The mercy of God is so vital that David literarily cried for it several times in the bible.

Withhold not Your tender mercy from me, O Lord; let Your loving-kindness and Your truth continually preserve me! – Psalm 40:11 AMP

What a prayer!

Go ahead and ask for the mercy of God this morning.

This mercy can correct years of mistakes and reset destinies. It can wipe generational issues away and set you on a new course.

Perhaps, you have noticed one or two things about your parents which you are not too comfortable with. Some may be their own doing, some not by their own doing.

You can use the mercy of God to align the future of your family into what you see in the scriptures.

As you go out on your day to day activity, pray that the mercies of God will continually preserve you.

Pray for God’s mercy over your lives, academics, and everything you lay your hands to do and as you pray, believe that your prayers are answered and it will be so.

Prayer:
Lord, let your mercies continually rest upon me in Jesus Name. Amen.

Action Plan:
Pray and confess God’s words always.

Declaration:
I am continually preserved by God’s mercies.

What To Do Before Saying “I Do” Part 2

What To Do Before Saying “I Do” Part 2

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Continued from yesterday. You can read Part 1 HERE

There are Josephs, Samsons and there are Amnons!

There are women who bring help and there are those who bring hell. There are wives and there are knives!

There are those who delight in your God and those who deride your faith.

There are Deborahs and there are Delilahs! There are Sarahs and there are Jezebels.

I say this with all sense of responsibility and humility, if I had married the wrong person, I will not be in ministry today. I know that because a lot of ministries have become miseries.

A lot of gifts and callings have been silenced and hibernated in the kitchen forever because of the wrong choice!

A lot of glorious callings have been guillotined, hung, and suspended because of the wrong choice.

Now, Pastor what do I look for in a man or a lady?

It is very simple.
Look for a man or woman that is BLESSED!

Don’t look for money or comfort alone, look for the blessing first.

If he or she is not blessed, the money will all disappear. And even if it doesn’t disappear, joy will be far away.

The blessing! That is what to look for.

Look for a man that will not be threatened of you and will bring out the best in you.

Look for a woman that will complement you and not distract you in this journey.

Look for a man who loves God, he will truly love you.

Let’s take a look at just one example.

And Abraham gave ALL that he had unto Isaac. – Genesis 25:5 (KJV)

What is the “All” that Abraham gave to Isaac?

It is called the blessing!

The blessing makes all that a man does to prosper just like a curse can make all that a man does to come to null and void.

But if Abraham gave all to Isaac, what then did he give to all other sons?

But unto the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave GIFTS and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country. – Genesis 25:6 (KJV)

He gave all other sons all kinds of gifts which in today’s world would include cars, houses, lands, and so on.

But to Isaac, he gave ALL, and ALL is the Blessing!

Look for a blessed man, not a man who has a car but is not blessed.

The blessed man will eventually get all the cars and houses and the jets!

To be continued tomorrow…

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I will not miss it in marriage

How To Honor Your Spouse

How To Honor Your Spouse

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Marriage is an honorable institution created by God. People everywhere are supposed to honor their spouse and marriage in the way the deal with the married folks.

Married folks are to honor their own marriage and the marriage of others. That is one of the main reasons God frowns at the sin of adultery.

The wrath of God is actually upon the adulterer and adulteress. If you are involved in this act, please repent, turn around from your sins and the Lord will forgive and cleanse you, in Jesus name.

Let marriage be held in honor (esteemed worthy, precious, of great price, and especially dear) in all things. And thus let the marriage bed be undefiled (kept undishonored); for God will judge and punish the unchaste [all guilty of sexual vice] and adulterous. – Heb 13:4 Amp

We need to Honor each other in marriage. The husband must see to it that he honors his spouse – the wife and the wife should see to it that she greatly honors her husband

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; – Rom 12:10

I want to particularly write to us wives about the missing link of honoring our husbands. This act is gradually missing in this age and we need to go back to scriptures and learn to give honor to our husbands.

In these days of female liberation movement where equality among male and female gender is preached. Our mothers of old knew the secret of Honoring their husbands. They do it in words, thoughts and their actions.

The way we show gratitude to our husbands shows that we honor them. And this honor comes from realizing that your spouse is your head and your crown. That God has placed him in a position of grace and honor.

I need to emphasize this that as a wife, honor is the gateway to your blessing in Marriage. There is much benefits and blessings from God to us if we just learn to honor our own husband the way they are.

Most of us wants to honor them when they are perfect but no, we give honor to them whilst still unperfected. This is our faith work and God in turn honors us back.

I will stop here and continue tomorrow with the six ways we can honor our husbands.

God bless your marriage.

How To Exercise Your Faith As A Child

How To Exercise Your Faith As A Child

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Faith is defined as the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen according to the writer of Hebrews.

This means literarily that you have what you do not have. You don’t have it physically, but you know that you have it. That’s faith.

The faith walk isn’t only for adults. As a matter of fact, you will be better an adult, when you start developing your faith from now.

Faith is simply trust in God.

See how the psalmist puts it;

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. – Ps 20:7 [KJV]

The truth is that God is happy when we trust him, when we exercise our faith even as children.

It is not too early to start believing God for things. There is no law that says until you are all grown up before you start to exercise your faith.

What are those things you need? Gift items, toys, games, et cetera, you can believe God for it right away.

God loves it when we trust him, so he is eager to grant our desires whenever we walk in faith.

You can believe that God will bless your parents and they will have the funds to make it available, or that someone somewhere will be moved to get whatever you need for you.

Bottom line is that you too can exercise your faith, and you can start now.

Start now and see the goodness of the Lord.

Prayer:
Lord, help me to act in faith. Amen.

Action point:
Start now.

Declaration:
I act in faith. I am not too young to believe God for supernatural supply. My needs are met.

What To Do Before Saying “I Do

What To Do Before Saying “I Do

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Sally, a God-loving babe is single, sassy, smart and searching! She has many suitors, but she just can’t seem to decide what she should really go for. She knows God loves her and is assured of that, but she is yet to find the man that will truly love her. Who should one really go for? What is it that must not be negotiated?

Before saying “I do,” what should one do?

Before walking down the aisle with the loved one, the sweetheart, the fedora, the rose, the lily, what should one really look out for?

What should a man look for in a lady or what should a lady look for in a man?

This is our bone of contention this morning and we are going to have to crack it by the Holy Spirit.

In relationship and marriage decisions, there is something that should not be negotiated. This is what we are looking at this morning.

If you missed yesterday’s devotional, go HERE

There is something that you should watch out for that if you cannot see, you should talk to your lower limbs and pick a race.

You cannot marry everybody or just anybody. In the scriptures, God is particular about where the children of Israel should marry from.

In the contemporary world of 2022 and beyond, what do you look for?

After being involved in ministry work and pastoring for over two decades, with countless experiences in counseling sessions, I can tell you a few things.

After being married for twenty-two years plus, my eyes have seen a little. I have listened to countless brides crying and agonizing over the phone over their regrettable choices in marriage. I have listened to mature men break down like little boys because of the frustration experienced from their wives.

In the world of relationships and marriage, all men are not equal or the same. There are men and there are mean men.

There are honest men who speak with integrity and there are froward men whose mouths speak deceit and lies.

The Three Most Important Rooms In Your Marriage

The Three Most Important Rooms In Your Marriage

Reading Time: 3 minutes

The Three Most Important Rooms In Your Marriage. A few years back, President Buhari was asked about his wife’s interview in which she made some statements that showed her displeasure with her husband’s decisions.

In his reply, President Buhari said he doesn’t know which party his wife belongs to, but he knows she belongs to his kitchen, his living room, and the other room.

The president was taken up on this and many expanded, amplified, and even dragged the statement beyond its original intention.

Let’s take a look at these rooms one after the other.

The Kitchen

In the physical realm, it is so much a vital part of the house. You couldn’t do without it.

Yes, the woman is always there, but a good man will often be found there as well.

In the kitchen, food is prepared.

In the spiritual milieu, the kitchen is where revelation is cooked. It is a place you don’t joke with and both husband and wife have better belong there.

Without constant “cooking” in this place, the inner man will be famished and results will be defective.

The Living Room

Here is a public place for the family. Everybody comes together in the living room. When Daddy wants to talk to everybody, it will probably be in the living room.

Everybody must have a place where you meet with divinity. Everybody must have a place where you meet with God. Everybody must have a living room where you talk to God.

The Other Room

This room is only for Daddy and Mummy. The other room is for those who are married.

Singles should never have the other room, and should never visit the other room. As singles, if you go to the other room, “other” things can take place that you will not be proud of.

Yes, the woman belongs to the other room. The wife can even delegate the kitchen to some domestic help, she can have the luxury of time off from the living room, but her role in the other room cannot be delegated.

Her functions in the other room are so pivotal to her husband’s productivity in the board room.

The temperature in the other room should be kept hot. The other room should be alive.

As a wise wife, you should make sure that your husband never has the luxury of having another “other room” outside the matrimonial home.

When a man is dissatisfied in the other room, disorder and chaos await him.

Christian wives, don’t be over-spiritual!

The gas cooker belongs to the kitchen.

Chairs and seats belong to the living room.

But what is needed in the other room is the bed!

Marriage is honorable in all and the bed undefiled!

On your wedding date, you were licensed to enter the other room. Focus on each other and enjoy yourselves sexually!

God will more likely answer the prayers of a sexually satisfied couple than that of couples denying each other! Read your Bible very well.

God bless you today!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I am wise. I am focused on the things of God. I am not confused

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Lord, teach me to be wise

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
1 Corinthians 7:5 (AMP)Do not refuse and deprive and defraud each other [ of your due marital rights ], except perhaps by mutual consent for a time, so that you may devote yourselves unhindered to prayer. But afterwards resume marital relations, lest Satan tempt you [ to sin ] through your lack of restraint of sexual desire.

Living Life By The Manual

Living Life By The Manual

Reading Time: < 1 minute

As humans on earth, our ever loving Father never created us to navigate this earth aimlessly. He made us and gave us a manual to live by everyday of our lives.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. – Joshua1:8 ESV

The scripture above is an instruction God has given us to follow always. The word of God is a manual we need to lead a Godly and successful life.

I believe you must have seen other adults read the bible in public or private places. That’s because nobody wants to get lost in this race of life.

We should always read and confess the word of God everyday of our lives.

Additionally, we should pray that the Spirit of God will dwell in us and grant us understanding of what we are reading. You can call on your parents or guardians to help you with this prayer and I am sure they will be glad to do so.

One more prayer you can equally pray as you daily go through your manual is that you will be conformed to the life God has ordained for you to live.

Prayers:
Lord, fill me with your spirit. Let me live according to your plans for my life in Jesus name; Amen.

Action Plan:
Go through your manual before leaving your house

Declaration
I am a doer of the word. I confess and obey the word of God at all times.

The One Thing That Will Make Your Relationship Work Part 4

The One Thing That Will Make Your Relationship Work Part 4

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Continued from yesterday…

9. God’s word will renew your mind and make you become a better person

Are you wondering how you make some changes especially concerning old habits that seemed ingrained in you and tattooed on your mind? God’s word is the way out. The word of God brings transformation. It can lift a man from the miry clay to the mountain top.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:2 KJV)

10. God’s word will help you to know your rights in God and get the best in your relationship, marriage and home.

Finally, it is in God’s word that you get to know and discover your rights in God and lay claim on them. You are not to be overcome by sin again. The bond of iniquity ought not to have a hold on you again. Its power has been broken. Sin shall no longer lord it over you. You are no longer the sinner trying to be righteous, you are the righteous whom the devil is trying to trap.

The power of lack, insufficiency, and poverty has been broken in your life. You have all things in God right now. The power of sicknesses and diseases has been crushed in your life! That cancer has no place in your body. That arthritis is no longer your portion. That heart condition has been taken care of…all these truths and more are what belong to you as a child of God.

When you study God’s word and discover what He has done for you when his body hung on the cross, you will have the boldness to demand what belongs to you in God!

May God grant you more understanding!

I pray for you this morning, every tree in your life and destiny that my God has not planted, be uprooted now in Jesus name!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Don’t Be Tired of Improving Your Marriage

Don’t Be Tired of Improving Your Marriage

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Marriage is one institution you will never stop improving. No matter how old you are, you never grow too old of getting better at your marriage.

In fact, it is said that like wine, it gets better and sweeter the older it gets. I think it is true. The marriage goes through different stages and like a child you have to be patient with your marriage.

It requires a lot of work, a lot of sowing into the marriage. The formative years of the marriage are the most critical of all. Those years in a marriage which comes with so much labor and hard work.

Those years, you are still trying to understand yourselves; where the differences in temperaments and the male/female differences had to be mastered, where your spouse’s weaknesses really show, where you get pissed up by your spouse’s weaknesses, and where his strength can put you off, rather than celebrate his strength.

You may be at this critical stage in your marriage. I want to encourage you to hold on and be patient.

What God has joined together, let no man put asunder, is what the bible says. Make sure no matter what, you keep on improving on your marriage.

Never grow weary of improving on your marriage. Never grow weary of doing those things you know will improve your marriage. Don’t stop talking. Don’t stop being loving. Don’t stop being tender and kind.

Don’t stop helping your wife achieve her dreams. Don’t stop meeting her needs. Never stop treating her in a special way.

Never stop being a helper. Help him fulfill his dreams. Be romantic. Make him feel like a king. Don’t stop praying. Never stop talking to God about your marriage.

Your marriage is yours to bring the best out of it. It is yours to work out until the beauty therein appears.

God is waiting on you. Heaven believes in you to make it work. So make it work.

God bless your marriage.

The Importance of Bodily Exercises

The Importance of Bodily Exercises

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Praying is a type of spiritual exercise. As you pray, you are exercising your spiritual muscles, strengthening them. You are building them up. As you build your prayer life with prayer, you also build your body with physical exercises. It’s one way of keeping your body fit and trim.

Keeping fit gives you a pleasant appearance, your clothes seat well on your body and your self-esteem grows. You just love the way you look. This feeling adds to your mental health and you can’t help but be happy.

God loves it when you are happy. Your happiness is worship to Him. And when you are happy, your praise to Him comes not only from your lips but from your whole heart and soul.

Remember, your body is not your own. It was given as a gift. All gifts are meant to be treasured, kept well and used accordingly.

You should know that your body is a temple for the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is in you. You have received the Holy Spirit from God. You do not own yourselves. -1 Cor. 6:19 ICB

Exercise to keep your body fit as a way of honouring God with your body. Do not do it to please anyone at school or to join any group. Don’t do it out of peer pressure.

If you don’t need to exercise because of health challenges, then don’t do it. God understands and still loves you. There are other ways to keep your body holy for Him.

May the Lord give you the ability to keep fit always. Amen.

Action plan:
Start small and don’t rush it. Gradually increase the routine as you keep up. Engage the help of someone as well.

Prayer:
Lord, help me to keep my body for you.

Declaration:
I will keep my body for God.

The One Thing That Will Make Your Relationship Work – Part 3

The One Thing That Will Make Your Relationship Work – Part 3

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Continued from yesterday..

4 God’s word will become light and direction to help you choose as a single.

There is rigour in direction. Life is about decisions, but that is not all to it. Good life is about making the right decisions. The frailty of our human nature is overcome when we rely on God to lead us in our choice of marriage partner. ‘The Lord is my shepherd’ becomes a living story of our life when we embrace His word.

5. God’s word will bring stability to your relationship and marriage.

As you put God’s word in your heart, it will help your discernment in knowing the right people and the wrong ones. In a relationship or marriage, you need stability. You need God’s help to have a successful marriage. You need a wisdom from above that will not make your marriage follow the usual pattern of separations and divorce.

And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the Lord is his treasure. (Isaiah 33:6 KJV)

6. God’s word will regulate and help maintain your relationship and marriage when you follow its principles.

Following the principles of God gleaned from His word will help to regulate your relationship or marriage from the hullabaloo of marital journey.

7. God’s word will help you to have peace of mind in that relationship or marriage

God’s word brings peace. It helps put the couple at rest and delivers them from cheating on each other. It helps the couple to be satisfied with each other, and saves them from the pits that the enemy might have dug on their paths.

8. God’s word will help you to raise your children

When you train a child in the way he should go in the principles and systems of God, he will not depart from those principles when he grows up.

Rather than worry about the overwhelming peer pressure that an average youth is exposed to, show that youth the ways of God and his or her destiny will be preserved.

How To Make Progress In Your Marriage

How To Make Progress In Your Marriage

Reading Time: 2 minutes

How To Make Progress In Your Marriage. Your past is your past because it happened in your ‘yesterday’. That yesterday could be 20 years, 30 days, 12 years and it could be a day ago. It becomes our past the moment we consciously put it behind us.

The past before our marriage too has to be dealt with in this manner. These include past relationships, past habits, those friends you used to have late night hang out with. Any thing that you know will be detrimental to your new status as a married man or woman.

The pains, hurts, challenges, shortcomings and weights of yesterday must be laid at the feet of the cross of Jesus. If we must experience the marriage that God has in mind for us.

Some people are holding so many people in unforgiveness. Some wives are holding so many people in their minds. Even people who they have no business holding in unforgiveness. Some are unfruitful because of holding unto the past.

In your marriage, you have to let the past go. The past is too heavy a weight to carry with your today. Your spouse will offend you not on purpose most of the time. But the onus is on you to let go of the past.

We must learn to embrace the truth of how to let go of the past like the prodigal son did.

And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! – Luk 15:17

The Bible says, he came to himself. We must come to ourselves every now and then about our past hurts and offense.

And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. – Luk 15:20

He arose, he took step in dealing with his past. He didn’t leave it as an intent, he did something, he took action.

Until you take action to deal with your past, don’t expect God to grant you the freedom He has in store for only those who let go of the past.

But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: – Luk 15:22

May God help us to let go of our past in Jesus name.

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
My past does not slow me down

PRAYERS FOR THE DAY
Oh Lord, heal me from my past

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

Learn How to Pray

Learn How to Pray

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Hello dear one, guess what? Today we will be considering a very important topic. I will be teaching you about prayer today. You will be learning how to pray, and I am very excited about it; I hope you are too?

Have you ever heard the song “Prayer is the Key, prayer is the master key”?

Prayer is the key that we as children of God use to unlock the treasures we want from our Father.

Jesus himself taught about prayer. In the New Testament, he showed us how important it is to pray.

First off, what is prayer? Prayer is simply communicating with God.
That simply means you talking to God, and he replying you in the same vein. How awesome is that?

Prayer isn’t only for grown up people; it’s for every child of God.

Why is it so? That’s because weather old or young, we all need to talk to God and hear him talk back to us.

As God’s child, you need to learn to always talk to him, just like you talk to your Mum and Dad, and even your friends.

How often should we pray as children of God?

Let me show you a bible verse that answers this question, in fact, these are Jesus exact words.

And he spake a parable unto them to this end that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; – Luke 18:1 (KJV)

Wow, Jesus is saying here that we ought to pray always. That means all the time. The concluding part says and not faint. It means we shouldn’t get tired of always praying.

How do you get to pray always?
This is by the help of the Holy Spirit. Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you how to pray, that’s very simple to do.

Just say this;
“Precious Holy Spirit, please teach me how to pray, help me to pray always and help me to be able to hear from God when I pray.”

That’s it! When next you pray, start by saying “Dear Heavenly Father…” and let every other word flow from your heart. Talk to God the way you talk to your friend, and be patient to hear him speak back to you.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, please help me to stay in prayer always; Amen.

Action Point:
Decide to pray all the time

Declaration:
I pray always
