Three Causes Of Unfaithfulness in Marriage

Three Causes Of Unfaithfulness in Marriage

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Three Causes Of Unfaithfulness in Marriage

It’s a sad reality today that adultery is right in the church. Professing believers, deacons and even pastors are flagrantly indulging in adulterous escapades, resulting in unnecessary and unprecedented headaches and agony in families.

An affair is more or less a sexual relationship, romantic friendship, or passionate attachment between two people without the knowledge of the other spouse.

Nobody is totally exempt from adultery. This morning, I am going to attempt to identify a few causes why couples often resort to cheating and unfaithfulness. This is not an attempt to justify this obviously sinful act, but to help us identify areas we might need to pay attention to.

1. The Needs of the Couple
The couple usually will have different needs. Emotional and sexual needs particularly. When these are not met, the person would indirectly seek to meet those needs outside of matrimony. You see, those needs are valid and every couple should strive to meet their emotional and sexual needs. Meeting sexual needs reduces vulnerability to a large extent.

2. Retaliatory Adultery
Some people dabble into adultery simply because they wanted to retaliate or show their spouse that they can sort themselves out. This usually happens as a result of deep-seated offense or bitterness.

The sad part is that the reason for adultery does not extricate the consequences of it. As the scripture noted;

Adultery is a brainless act, soul-destroying, self-destructive;  [33]  Expect a bloody nose, a black eye, and a reputation ruined for good. Pro 6:32-33 (MSG)

3. Wounded and Injured Ego
The reality is that some men go into adultery just to simply repair or mend an injured or wounded ego!Wives, massage your husband’s ego! This is very important!

This is not to say that wives are responsible for unfaithfulness in men. A man who has a bad heart will cheat, injured ego or not. However, we should not be careless in some of these areas.

God bless you. Have a fantastic day!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I love my spouse the God kind of way

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
1 Cor 13:4 (AMP) Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.

Dealing With The Spirit Of Fear In Children

Dealing With The Spirit Of Fear In Children

Reading Time: 2 minutes

All through the Scripture we see that the spirit of fear is not to be allowed to have a place in our lives. Dear children, say no to fear.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Joshua 1:9 (ESV)

The first thing in that passage says we should be strong and courageous. Strength is needed to do anything in life. Fear is a tool of the devil to weaken our resolve to doing anything.

The Lord is always with us wherever we go. We should not be frightened or afraid of any harm.

Yes, there will be instances where we might be overwhelmed, but the assurance from God’s word is enough to bring us out and place us on top.

We have the assurance of protection from God himself, saying he is with us. It is this assurance that we need to succeed in life.

This means we can do anything because God is with us.

What are those dreams and goals in your heart? What are those aspirations in your heart?

You can do it, only fear not.

As parents, we can build confidence in our children with this scripture.

Furthermore, God tells us he has no plans to leave nor forsake us.

We should train our children to put their trust and hope in God, not in man.

Action Plan:
What are the things that make you scared? List them. You can talk to your parents about them too.

Prayer:
Lord, help me to trust you. Take away the spirit of fear in me and build my confidence in you. Amen

Declaration:
My children know no fear because the Lord is with them always. They are not afraid to do new things because they have assurance from God.

Don’t Make The Mistake Of Believing These

Don’t Make The Mistake Of Believing These

Reading Time: 2 minutes

There are several beliefs that are so popular and yet very wrong. They are as wrong as they are popular. Believing them is to the detriment of that believer.

This morning, I want to delve into some of them so you can roll them up as they come and throw them in the trash can.

Incidentally, some of them will be fed to us by precious family and friends around us. That is to the extent they know. And that is why we often believe them. However, you need to note, that irrespective of the source of an information, once it is in contradiction to the scriptures, simply throw them away.

Here is one of those beliefs;

Marriage is unnecessary in the real sense, I can just be a baby mama, have a few children and I will be okay.

Well there is nothing okay about the above scenario. It is in total contradiction to the institution of marriage that God Himself established.

Sleeping with a man because he is a celebrity or he has some money is a total departure to the principles and injunctions of the Lord as we know it.

Marriage is necessary. It helps you to contain sexual sins to a large extent.

Certainly—but only within a certain context. It’s good for a man to have a wife, and for a woman to have a husband. Sexual drives are strong, but marriage is strong enough to contain them and provide for a balanced and fulfilling sexual life in a world of sexual disorder.

1Co 7:2 (MSG)

Marriage is designed to contain sexual sins. Avoiding marriage while wanting to have children will sentence a person to a lifetime of adultery.

This is why a baby mama can often have children for more than one man. What can be more debilitating than that?

I will stop here this morning. See you tomorrow and have a blessed day.

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I am decided for Jesus. I do things right.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Ask for the spirit of patience even as you keep on believing.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
1 Cor 7:2 (GNT) But because there is so much immorality, every man should have his own wife, and every woman should have her own husband.

ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY
Read a book on marriage

Loving a Choleric Wife Without Shutting Her Down

Loving a Choleric Wife Without Shutting Her Down

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Choleric wives are energetic and creative. They never run out of ideas. They are full of boundless energy and they cannot sit in one place. Properly channeled, nurtured, and encouraged, they can fit into the energetic virtuous man described in the book of Proverbs

They are very independent, and they can act like they don’t need their husbands for anything.

She is productive, has the capacity to have several businesses running at the same time and she will usually climb to the zenith of her career if she chooses.

All these can come at a price to pay, however. The husband of the choleric woman is usually calm and cool. He is most probably of the opposite temperament, reserved and extremely laid back, almost translating into laziness.

This makes the choleric wife cranky most time because she can’t understand why her husband is so slow and demotivated.

But in reality, that slow, laid-back husband is often the backbone and encourager of the choleric wife especially when she is down and she cannot meet her goals in time.

The choleric woman is also bossy, almost looking like she is the one running the home in terms of decision-making. She needs to honor and respect her husband in this regard.

The husband of the choleric wife must be secured and allow his wife to function maximally with all her unending ideas that she never seems to run out of.

The husband must always remain calm, a hot-tempered husband cannot survive with a full-blooded choleric wife. That marriage will crash really fast. The husband has to be patient and lovingly teach his wife how to take life easy.

As they grow together lovingly, they will come to even understand themselves the more and understand why they act the way they do.

May God grant you both more understanding in Jesus name.

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I love my spouse passionately.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Ask for the grace to be a submissive spouse.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
1 Cor 7:2 (GNT) But because there is so much immorality, every man should have his own wife, and every woman should have her own husband.

My Children Are Grateful At All Times

My Children Are Grateful At All Times

Reading Time: 2 minutes

My children are grateful. That should be your declaration every time, as a parent. As a child, you must learn to be grateful always.

Ps 6:5 (KJV) For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?

Many of us lack the culture of gratitude. We seem to believe our parents will always have it figured out. “They are parents anyway, they should. If they don’t, why did they bring me to the world?”

It doesn’t really work that way. When you grow up, you will realize adulthood is hard work.

The psalmist is asking us one question we always ignore. He asks if anyone could give thanks in the grave.

The answer is no one can. So why don’t you do all the thanksgiving now that you are here?

Look at the way the message bible puts it.

Ps 6:5 (MSG) I’m no good to you dead, am I? I can’t sing in your choir if I’m buried in some tomb!

We don’t have to wait till we have the ‘big’ things before learning the culture of thanksgiving. As little as a candy or biscuit, it should be received with thanksgiving.

This means as parents, we should imbibe in our children and make them understand once they do something. We have to teach our children that there is no remembrance in the grave, hence, the need to give God all they can now.

Ps 6:5 (CEV) If I die, I cannot praise you or even remember you.

Children, now that you have breath, use it to praise God.

No one is praying for death, but it is something that will happen to virtually everyone. The prayer is that we all live to good old ages before returning ‘home’

Declaration:
My children give God thanks. My children are grateful.

Prayer:
Lord, teach my children the art of thanksgiving. Also, help me to imbibe the culture of thanksgiving in them. Amen

Action Point:
List all those things you ought to be grateful about.

Help Pastor, My Heart Is Broken

Help Pastor, My Heart Is Broken

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Betty gave her all to that relationship. It was the very first time she would fall in love and it meant a lot to her. She saw nothing other than a glorious wedding, a blissful marriage, and wonderful children ahead. She fantasized herself being with Bode, loving each other as married couples.

She nearly failed her exam at a time because she was in love. The love was like drugs to her. She thought about nothing other than Bode. Her friends told her to slow down but she told them they were jealous and it was because theirs weren’t working.

“Nobody will mess up my romantic story,” she would say.

As time progressed, quarrels reared their heads. The love story began to develop unwanted twists that nearly ended the story abruptly. But she hung on.

The straw that broke the camel’s back was when Betty discovered that Bode was cheating on her with three different ladies, one of them being her best friend.

Her heart was shattered, scattered, and battered.

“All men are scum!” She said.

She went from anger into hurt and then bitterness. From there she entered acute feminism and she was beginning to sing that “marriage is not for me”

Have you ever find yourself in this kind of scenario? I have a word of the Lord for you this morning.

Even though you are hurting and bitter, God will heal your soul! Yes, He promised that!

HE RESTORETH MY SOUL: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Psa 23:3 (KJV)

He would not just heal your soul which is battered, He will restore it and reset it! Then He will now lead you into His God’s ordained plan for you maritally.

So when you are hurting, don’t stay in that hurt, go to God and let God do only what God can do.

I pray for you, healing and restoration will come to your soul in Jesus Name!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
My soul is restored in God.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Pray for your emotional healing

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Ps 23:3 (AMP) He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him — not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake.

Dear Couples, Avoid Nagging in Your Marriage

Dear Couples, Avoid Nagging in Your Marriage

Reading Time: 2 minutes

There is a habit that is so unhealthy for any marriage. Do all you can to avoid it like a plague! It’s called Nagging!

One of the persons you should respect when he is offering marital advice is King Solomon. You will never be able to break his record. With a thousand women in his harem, no living human being has been able to break that record.

He was simply in a class of his own when it comes to women. He had them all and he would know a lot about them.

So he gave a piece of advice in the book of Proverbs.

It is better to dwell in a corner of the HOUSETOP, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.

Pro 21:9 (KJV)

The Message Translation puts it this way:

Better to live alone in a tumbledown shack than share a mansion with a nagging spouse.

Pro 21:9 (MSG)

So, nagging can make a man relocate from his bedroom to the penthouse!

But that was in verse 9.

Suddenly in verse 19, like someone just hit with a revelation or who just woke up from slumber, he said

It is better to dwell in the WILDERNESS, than with a contentious and an angry woman.

Pro 21:19 (KJV)

He must have remembered another one of his wives!

Here, he says nagging from an angry woman will not only drive a man to a penthouse but to a desert, a wilderness!

Nagging can be irritating and frustrating. The Message Translation says here

A nagging spouse is like the drip, drip, drip of a leaky faucet;

Pro 27:15 (MSG)

If most men were sincere, they would tell you they often keep late at night and stay longer at work to avoid the nagging that might be waiting at home!

A wise wife will refrain from nagging!

Let me conclude by giving you a Dictionary definition of nagging

Adjective; continually faultfinding, complaining, or petulant: persistently recurring; unrelenting:

May God grant you more understanding!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I will cooperate with my spouse at all times.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Pray to God for a patient spirit.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Prov 21:9 (AMP) It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop [on the flat oriental roof, exposed to all kinds of weather] than in a house shared with a nagging, quarrelsome, and faultfinding woman.

ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY
Quit nagging your spouse!

My Children Seek God Early

My Children Seek God Early

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Today we will be examining “My Children Seek God Early.” It is good for your children to get to know God later in life, but early is better.

The bible is filled with several promises for us to profit with.

There are promises for good health, promotion, assurance, favour, mercy, strength, provision and so on.

One of such promises is found in

Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Isa 55:6 (KJV)

It can be frustrating searching for your Sunday school notebook, especially on Sunday morning.

If care is not taken, you might have to forfeit it and use another note, so your parents don’t leave you at home.

There is a time to seek the Lord. There is a time to serve the Lord.
God is saying a time is coming when you will seek me and you won’t find me.
A time is coming when you will call my name and you won’t hear a word from me.
May that not be our portion in Jesus’ name.

The above verse tells us that there comes a time when the Lord may not be found. Hence, it is wise for us to put them in the way of the Lord from the cradle.

Children, now is the best time to seek the Lord.

Do you remember what Solomon said?

Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

Ecclesiastes 12:1 (KJV)

A time is coming when you won’t find pleasure in all these things. Now that you are young, maximize the opportunity.

As parents, we are to ensure our children seek God early in life. No one is too young to seek God. Josiah became King at a very tender age and he ruled well.

As long as your children can call on you, they should be taught how to call on God. God will answer because he is interested in children.

Declaration:
My Children Seek God. My children call on the Lord. Early in life, they turn to the Lord. Amen

Prayer:
Lord, help me to seek you early.

Why Are My Prayers Not Answered?

Why Are My Prayers Not Answered?

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Betty has been praying to God for the right man for a few years. Her expectation of her prayers being answered had driven her into some relationships that never worked out. You know how you had prayed and then the next person that showed up seemed like the right person, only for the person to heavily disappoint. Betty wasn’t happy at all. On some days, she would wake up with depression. At other times, she would think something was wrong with her.

What could be wrong with Betty?

There are those seasons in life that it looked like prayers are not working. At such times, it looked like prayers are bouncing off the ceiling back at you. At such other times, it might look like God has gone on holiday to the Bahamas.

It looked like your prayers to settle down in a marital relationship is being ignored. You were serving God in all ways you could and yet others who were not “serious” with God seemed to get their suitors and settle down quickly.

What exactly is happening?

Does God really forget someone? And if He does, should it be me?

Let’s take a look at the scriptures:

But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.  Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.

Isa 49:14-15 (KJV)

The truth is clear here. God will never forget you. He has you in mind. It may look late, but it will eventually be the latest.

It may look like it’s taking long, but God will cause all thing to work out together for you. Keep trusting, keep believing and rest in the assurance that He has not forgotten you!

Good morning!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I am not forgotten. My prayers are answered.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord, comfort me and make me stronger

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Isa 49:15 (MSG) “Can a mother forget the infant at her breast, walk away from the baby she bore? But even if mothers forget, I’d never forget you — never.

Prophetic Blessing For You This Morning

Prophetic Blessing For You This Morning

Reading Time: 2 minutes

This morning, I bring you a word from the Lord. It’s a three-pronged blessing for you! Receive those prophetic words and believe them for you and your family. Every time God wants to bless you, He sends His word. Get ready to receive those words this morning!

Here is the first one:

 1. The Blessing of your Progeny

That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace:

Psa 144:12 (KJV)

Your sons and daughters are going to be blessed. They will not be cut short in the midst of their days. They will be healthy. They will grow up in their prime. Your daughter will be as cornerstones, that is polished.

They will not be troublesome or be strange children.

2. The Blessing Of Provision

That our garners may be full, affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets:

Psa 144:13 (KJV)

You will not lack. Insufficiency will not be your ally. Your garners will be full. There will be an increase and constant supply. Everything you lay your hands upon, you will prosper therein. This week, God will initiate a non-ending event that will translate into a long-lasting provision for you in Jesus name.

3. The Blessing of Protection

That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets.

Psa 144:14 (KJV)

You will be shielded. No evil will befall you. God will surround you. Even in this time of insecurity that pervades our milieu, God will protect and shield you. You will not be a victim of the times. He will make you a victor at all times. Victory will be your portion at all times.

The Word Guides My Children

The Word Guides My Children

Reading Time: 2 minutes

The word guides. The word guards the heart. Now the heart is perhaps the most important part of the human body. An anomaly in the heart is not what anyone prays for. May our heart not pack up in Jesus name.

Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.

Proverbs 4:23 AMP

One way to safe guard our heart is to carefully sieve what we allow inside and one way this can be done is through the word. The word guides and guards.

Parents, let’s teach our children the word of God always. The word of God should always serve as a guide for us to follow.

The above scripture shows how important it is for us to guard our hearts. You cannot just allow anything into your heart.

Children, what does that mean? Do you know thoughts are very powerful? That is why we must ensure that we always think about positive things. And the word guides you to think positive thoughts.

That’s why the scriptures says in

Finally, my friends, keep your minds on whatever is true, pure, right, holy, friendly, and proper. Don’t ever stop thinking about what is truly worthwhile and worthy of praise.

Phil 4:8 (CEV)

This verse gives us a list of what to think about. So when next you are catch yourself wondering in thoughts or thinking about anything, check if it fits in the above description of what we are expected to be thinking about.

Children, ensure you always read the word of God and make it your guide. The word guides!
Think about the promises of God in His words.

Prayer for children:
My children receive grace to always study the word of God.

Prayer for parents:
Lord, please help us to teach our children your word always, in Jesus Name. Amen

Declaration:
The word of God dwells richly in the hearts of my children always. The word guides my children.

When Your Lover Has A Character Defect

When Your Lover Has A Character Defect

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Yeah! Nobody is perfect! We are all projects in the making in the hands of the Lord. We are all still growing and getting better by the day.

We also often bring with us old practices before we got born again and we still indulge in some of these things even though the Bible says we are to put off the old man.

Even the best of saints will still make mistakes occasionally. And there is provision for this by God in the scriptures.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1Jn 1:9 (KJV)

However, there is a clear difference between making a mistake and having a character defect.

There is also a difference between having a character defect and working on it, and having a HABITUAL character defect that one is not willing to work on.

The former is actively working on it and seeking all help, while the latter is just frolicking in the pool of iniquity because it’s already a habit.

Old habits die hard, they say. The person has to be committed to changing and turning a new leaf. If you are in love with someone who is unwilling to make changes as regards character, then you really need to be extremely careful.

If he or she keeps telling you and promising you that change will come after wedding, that promise might as well be an empty one. There must be genuine repentance and the willingness to change.

However, before there can be a change, there has to be truthfulness and honesty as regard what needs to change. In denial, change is impossible because you cannot change what is deemed as inexistent.

Seek counsel properly and don’t marry blindly.

God bless you!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I will work on my character before marriage.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Pray that God helps you to work on your weaknesses.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
1 John 1:8-9 (MSG) If we claim that we’re free of sin, we’re only fooling ourselves. A claim like that is errant nonsense. On the other hand, if we admit our sins — make a clean breast of them — he won’t let us down; he’ll be true to himself. He’ll forgive our sins and purge us of all wrongdoing.

Outward Beauty Versus Inner Beauty

Outward Beauty Versus Inner Beauty

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Outward Beauty Versus Inner Beauty

There is something about that which comes from within. The pulchritude is that which is seen, but is often a total departure from the true reflection within. And yet the reality is that the external alone cannot be used to conclude on the entity. Adam saw bone of his bones and flesh of his flesh, not just flesh alone!

Dwelling on the flesh, the externals alone is a gross mistake in decoding the personality. What makes a person includes the deep things, the values, the happenstances in the realm of the mind and events that go in in the heart.

Those who have placed the pulchritude above the inner character have been known to regret it later. Outward beauty have been known to be a complete contradiction to the ugliness that can flow like a polluted river from within.

It is to this intent that the scripture advises

Let your true beauty come from your inner personality, not a focus on the external. For lasting beauty comes from a gentle and peaceful spirit, which is precious in God’s sight and is much more important than the outward adornment of elaborate hair, jewelry, and fine clothes.

1Pe 3:3-4 (TPT)

Even though this is talking to women, same applies to men.

There is a beauty that must come from your inner personality, and this is what defines who you are. This is what people live with, which may be different from what they see initially.

There can be outward beauty and inner ugliness.

Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout is a beautiful face on an empty head.

Pro 11:22 (MSG)

A beautiful face on an empty head adds nothing of value at the end of the day.

Make up, powders and so on are cool, but beyond that, ensure you are beautiful within as well, It will help your marriage a lot.

Have a great day!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I am beautiful in and out.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Pray for wisdom for your marriage.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
1 Peter 3:3-4 (MSG)What matters is not your outer appearance — the styling of your hair, the jewelry you wear, the cut of your clothes — but your inner disposition. Cultivate inner beauty, the gentle, gracious kind that God delights in.

My Children Are Grateful Beings

My Children Are Grateful Beings

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Gratitude is a great discipline your should teach your children. Pray and train your children to be grateful beings. Let’s take a look at this psalm.

O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

Ps 98:1 (KJV)

What a psalm!

Do you remember the song of Moses and Miriam and the children of Israel? After they crossed the red sea? These were grateful beings. Take a look at a part of their song of gratitude.

And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

Ex 15:21 (KJV)

What does this mean?

It means we should learn to give God the glory after every battle we fight. We should learn to be grateful beings.

Now, these days, we no longer fight physically, because the bible says;

For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds,

2 Cor 10:4 (AMP)

But whenever we do something through the help of God, we should always give him all the praise.

Parents, let’s always encourage our children to be grateful unto God even in the seemingly minute things. That way, they will learn to cultivate an attitude of gratitude. Teach your children to be grateful beings.

Prayers:
My children are grateful in the name of Jesus. Amen

Action point:
Be deliberate about your act of gratitude

Declaration:
My children are grateful beings.

When Your Lover Wants To Love You Secretly

When Your Lover Wants To Love You Secretly

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Back then, as a young man in the university, I had just fallen in love. It all looked so unique because that would be my first and incidentally, the last. I remember how I was giggling all over the place, because I was in love.

Next thing I felt like doing and which I did was to introduce her to all loved ones, friends, family and all who matter to me. It was just a natural course of action.

If you are in a relationship and your partner is reluctant to introduce you to family, then something might not be at par.

“Oh’ let’s keep it between ourselves for now.”
“I don’t want anybody to know about us now.”
“Give me some time, I am not ready to let my family know anything now.”
“I will take you home when we are close to wedding. For now, let’s keep it low.”

While some of these statements might be genuine, a lot of them are symptomatic of non-commitment in the relationship.

You see, falling in love is not supposed to be like joining a secret cult. I believe it’s a joyful thing and whenever anything joyful happens, you want people who matter in your life to know about it.

The moment things are hidden and coded and you are just been shielded from family despite repeated promises of wedding, care need to be taken.

It is even more intense if your relationship is hidden from your pastors!  The person who is hiding usually have issues with accountability or has ulterior motive and is not ready to really be committed.

The person knows telling more people will make it difficult to pull the carpet off when it is time to take off.

So, when he or she is getting secretive, you might need further counseling to get to the root of it.

Have a great day.

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I choose to do it right and not secretly.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord, help me to make the right choice.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
1 Cor 14:40(NKJV) Let all things be done decently and in order.

ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY
Be careful of any lover who wants to love you secretly.

Be A Good Influencer To Your Husband

Be A Good Influencer To Your Husband

Women are interestingly influential. Ok, the man is the head of the house, agreed, but the woman wields a lot of influence in the home.

Satan wanted to get to man, he went through the woman. He knew if he could get the woman to eat the fruit, the rest is history with the man, and that was exactly what happened. We see this in Genesis 3:6

When the Woman saw that the tree looked like good eating and realized what she would get out of it—she’d know everything!—she took and ate the fruit and then gave some to her husband, and he ate.

Gen 3:6 (MSG)

Look at that scripture!

She gave some to Adam and he simply ate it! No question, no resistance, no objection. He ate it in love!

The woman is influential!

So much is the influence a wife wields over her husband that the scripture even says a wife can influence her husband without even saying a word!

Let’s take a look at it.

1Pe 3:1 (TPT)  And now let me speak to the wives. Be devoted to your own husbands, so that even if some of them do not obey the Word of God, your kind conduct may win them over without you saying a thing.

That is instructive! Without a word. How true can this be? Without saying a word. Can you begin to see that you don’t need to talk too much till your husband feels completely nagged.

You can be a woman of few words and yet of tremendous influence.

As a wife, decide to be a good wife by influencing your husband in a good way. Job’s wife was a bad wife, she asked her husband to curse God and die. Thank God he never listened.

Decide today and watch how that will impact your marriage massively.

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I make a positive impact on my spouse.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord, help me to influence my spouse positively.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
1 Peter 3:1 (AMP) IN LIKE manner, you married women, be submissive to your own husbands [subordinate yourselves as being secondary to and dependent on them, and adapt yourselves to them], so that even if any do not obey the Word [of God], they may be won over not by discussion but by the [godly] lives of their wives,

How Children Can Walk In Victory

How Children Can Walk In Victory

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Aside from the salvation of our souls, another redemption package we received is victory over death. Yes, victory over death. And we have to walk in victory.

“O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:55-57(ESV)

Children, death has been conquered by Jesus. His death and resurrection on the cross of Calvary has done it all. Let’s walk in victory!

The sting of death is sin, and Christ took our sins out of the way, nailing them to the cross. Halleluyah! You need to understand this. Anytime the devil comes to you with funny thoughts of sickness or death, remind him of this scripture.

As parents, we need to constantly remind our children to walk in this consciousness. They should live a life of thanksgiving, giving praise to God for granting us the victory through Jesus Christ. That’s one way to walk in victory.

Do you remember this song?

Calvary covers it all
My sins and shame, don’t count anymore
All praises to the one who has ransomed my soul
Calvary covers it all.

That’s what you should tell yourself all the time. it is a finished work on the cross.
Your sins, sicknesses, pain, lack, insufficiency, and all manner of vices have all been taken care of at Calvary. Glory to God! Let’s walk in victory. Amen

Prayer:
Thank you, Lord, for giving me victory.

Action Plan:
Walk in the victory you have received.

Declaration:
My children are victorious. They walk in the realization of what God has done for them.

That Which Is At The Root Of All Compromise

That Which Is At The Root Of All Compromise

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Our world is filled with all kinds of vices and hardened men who give in to them. There are men and women that pain means nothing to, so they gladly dispense it from their armory of sadistic tendencies that will cause the ears to tingle.

These men litter our prisons, correctional homes, and slums where drug culture is the groove and all manner of crimes are birthed and carried out.

It is easy to blame them and label them as heartless, however at the root of all these vices and evil is the art of deception.

Sitting on the slimy throne of deception is the devil himself, dishing out deception endlessly, for there is nothing about him except lies and deception.

The adulterer was deceived. The armed robber was deceived. The prostitute was deceived. The cheat was deceived. The crook was deceived. The rapist and the raped were deceived.

Refusal to turn a new leaf when confronted and challenged is also strengthened by deception. And note, it is one thing to be deceived, it is another thing entirely to be self-deceived; that is, a person deceives himself.

Well. It doesn’t matter, so they say. Do I tell you something? It doesn’t matter plus it doesn’t matter equals IT MATTERS!

Eve was deceived!
Abraham was deceived when he took Hagar!
David was severally deceived!
Solomon was deceived by strange women despite all his wisdom. And so were many others.

Today, the devil has not changed his tactics, to deceive you, to cause you to believe a lie. He tells you sleeping around means nothing! Everybody is doing it. When you fall for his deception, you unlock a series of regrettable events. That will not be your portion!

There is only one way to deal with deception. Get into God’s word. Bury yourself in it. Read it. Study it. Meditate on it and you will see that only truth sets free, deception and lies binds!

Good morning!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I will not be deceived. I will not compromise.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord, deliver me from self-deception and compromise.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Gal 6:7 (NKJV) Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

This One Thing Will Always Birth Crises In Marriage

This One Thing Will Always Birth Crises In Marriage

This One Thing Will Always Birth Crises In Marriage

I have counseled hundreds of couples in the last twenty-two years. Marriage has always been and will always work. There are things you do and it is guaranteed that the marriage will work. There are things you ignore and it is sure that crises will emanate.

There is one sure thing if undone, will always birth crisis every time. This has to do with accountability.

Ever met anyone who does not want to be accountable and doesn’t want to talk to mentors? At the root of this is Pride! This is accentuated in the scriptures.

Let’s take a look at the scriptures

Wisdom opens your heart to receive wise counsel, but pride closes your ears to advice and gives birth to only quarrels and strife.

Pro 13:10 (TPT)

How do you know a wise couple? They are open to wise counsel. You see, there are issues that will come up in marriage that will be beyond you. God forbid that you have nobody to talk to!

Many a couple’s heart are closed to counsel and this is not good because they are only operating by what they know and the reality is that what they know is limited. Limited by their age and experiences.

It is wisdom then, to open yourselves to counsel because God will surround you with at least one person who has wisdom to help in whatever imbroglio you might have found yourselves.

That scripture says pride closes the ears to advice and shockingly, pride also gives birth to quarrels and strife.

Is your marriage riddled with strife and quarrels? Then find out if you have not made statements like “You must not discuss me with a third party!”

Yes, you must not discuss your issues all over the place, but you should have at least one person who serves as mentor or pastor you should talk to. And this person shouldn’t be either of your parents in any way. They will always be biased.

Have a great day!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
My marriage will work.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord, give me the needed wisdom to build my marriage

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Prov 13:10 (AMP) Through pride and presumption come nothing but strife, But [skillful and godly] wisdom is with those who welcome [well-advised] counsel

How To Deal With The Spirit Of Fear

How To Deal With The Spirit Of Fear

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The spirit of fear is one that can hold people in bondage, and stop them from succeeding. Appearances can look real but in actual fact are not. Your expectations are false and are looking real. How do you stop yourself from being overwhelmed with all the pressures of fear? Just take a moment to stop everything and just pray.

Praying helps you to get an understanding of what to do or not to do. Prayer is a tool to help you understand what is happening and how to deal with it. It helps you deal with the spirit of fear also.

The major thing is that you shouldn’t allow fear – any of your false expectations appearing real, to stop you from doing what you’re supposed to do.

God doesn’t want you to have any form of fear and even if you do, He asks you to release them all to Him. He can carry them all and has the solution to solving them. The spirit of fear should not torment you.

God bless you. Amen

Prayer:
Lord, thank you for helping me with my fears. I am grateful for all the ways you do so. Amen.

Action point:
Release everything to God.

Declaration:
I am no longer a slave to fear, I am a child of God. The spirit of fear has left me.
