Gaining Victory in your Thoughts was taught by Rev. Dunamis Okunowo on the 17th of October 2021 at Shouts of Grace Center, Joke Plaza, Beside Trans Amusement Park, Bodija-UI Road, Ibadan.
In his teaching, Rev. Dunamis made mention of the following important points:
What goes on in our minds determines what goes on in our lives.
You won’t be able to go beyond the quality of your thoughts, and to gauge the quality of your thoughts simply listen to what you say.
What you permit in your thought realm you give access to in your life. Gaining victory in your thoughts is something you should strive to achieve.
God pays attention to your thoughts.
You are just one instruction away from solving the problem in your life.
Now Jericho was securely shut up because of the children of Israel; none went out, and none came in. And the LORD said to Joshua: “See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor. You shall march around the city, all you men of war; you shall go all around the city once. This you shall do six days. And seven priests shall bear seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark. But the seventh day you shall march around the city seven times, and the priests shall blow the trumpets. It shall come to pass, when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, that all the people shall shout with a great shout; then the wall of the city will fall down flat. When you face a problem that seems insurmountable, the first thing to do is to recede into the Presence of God
The second thing to do is to praise
You get things done by holding onto it tenaciously – in prayer, in confession, in believing.
You must learn to cast down negative thoughts/imaginations, not embrace it. Gaining victory in your thoughts is something you should strive to achieve.
Don’t be lured into discussing your private life with mere acquaintances or any random person. When someone gossips another person to you, he/she is going to gossip about you to another person. If you mouth your issues all over the place, you will find it where you don’t want it.

Begin to declare that you are free from all negative family patterns.
Pray for your local assembly; bind the operation of every foul spirit.
Begin to declare victory in the work of your hands today.
Declare that God will give you beauty in the places you’ve experienced ashes.
Pray that you will receive a miracle in your life today.
Go ahead and make your personal requests for the day known to the Lord.
Begin to thank the Lord for answered prayers.
Confession For Today
Oil For Today – Day 100
In the name of Jesus, I am no longer under weak and beggarly elements. I take my stand in Christ alone. I walk in the victory that Christ wrought for me. By the power in the blood, I disarm principalities and powers sent to work against my relationship/marriage. I nullify every demonic influence around me. The devourer will not come near my finances. My harvest is sure. I am exempted from negative generational patterns. The mercy of God avails for me in Jesus’ name.
Aside from the salvation of our souls, another redemption package we received is victory over death. Yes, victory over death. And we have to walk in victory.
“O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:55-57(ESV)
Children, death has been conquered by Jesus. His death and resurrection on the cross of Calvary has done it all. Let’s walk in victory!
The sting of death is sin, and Christ took our sins out of the way, nailing them to the cross. Halleluyah! You need to understand this. Anytime the devil comes to you with funny thoughts of sickness or death, remind him of this scripture.
As parents, we need to constantly remind our children to walk in this consciousness. They should live a life of thanksgiving, giving praise to God for granting us the victory through Jesus Christ. That’s one way to walk in victory.

That’s what you should tell yourself all the time. it is a finished work on the cross. Your sins, sicknesses, pain, lack, insufficiency, and all manner of vices have all been taken care of at Calvary. Glory to God! Let’s walk in victory. Amen

Declaration: My children are victorious. They walk in the realization of what God has done for them.
There are differenttypes, kinds, shades, and forms of trouble in life and of course, in marriage. Some of these troubles we face in marriage are due to our carelessness most of the time. While others are the devil wanting to stir up issues.
Whichever way, God has told us of how to handle troubles in His word.
I must admit that there are some troubles or challenges that are so bigger than us. There is no way we can come out of then successfully without God intervening.
King David even though he was God’s beloved Psalmist, faced different situations way bigger and stronger than he. The good news is that God brought him over them all.
At whatever season in our marriage, when trouble comes, not if they come, because they will surely come, if we are believers, we are assured victory.
Some challenges are spiritual and must be dealt with by engaging in spiritual warfare. Whether they are in-law issues, financial, child birth, barrenness, betrayal, infidelity issues, health issues or we just noticed some resistance on our way, or there are constant quarrels between us as couples that really has no basis, or any other attack on our marriage, it calls for spiritual warfare.
That is the time we should deal with and take charge of whatever trouble or strange oppressive spirit from the devil that wants to destroy our marriages.
We must know how to intercede for our marriage more than anything else. We fight on our knees.
The bible says
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2 Corinthians 10:3 – 5 KJV

Our major work is to bind the wrong spirit behind such issues and loose the power of God. We come against the different spirits causing troubles for us and not allow us to enjoy peace, love and joy in our marriage.
Some problems are not with the 3rd party but within spouses. You have to learn to take charge and exercise authority over such anti-peace, anti-unity spirit. All they are after is to cause division, disunity, distress and fight in the marriage.
Also, praying for the eyes of the understanding of the other party is important.
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, Ephesians 1:17 – 18 KJV
By the time you have engaged in spiritual warfare, God promised us victory over every trouble. The victory may not come the way we want. But victory is sure and peace will be restored into our marriage

1. The first thing I want to mention is that everybody knows what his weakness or weaknesses are. You know yours; I know mine.
2. Once you know, it is good for you to acknowledge and accept that there is a weakness.
A lot of people live in denial, never accepting or owning up to what is obvious. It is self-deception, nothing more. Such people can argue with you till tomorrow on what is already too obvious.
3. After you accept that there is a weakness or a particular lust; then you are opened to help.
This is important because you cannot help a man who thinks he doesn’t need help. It is a difficult venture trying to help a man that thinks you are the one that needs help.
4. Having known this, it is important to know that your weakness is not a sin, it is the weakness that you refuse to confront that leads you into sin and becomes a lust.
5. Know in the background that God has made a way of escape for you in any kind of temptation you find yourself, so it is just simple sense that you turn to God and not trust that you can handle it yourself.
6. Tomorrow, we will pick a particular lust and see how we can practically confront it by being accountable in order to deal with it. We will be talking about masturbation.
I pray that God will help you to deal with any issues you have through these practically proven steps.
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I will fulfil purpose. I will fulfil destiny.
PRAYERS FOR THE DAY Lord, I ask for the grace to deal with my weaknesses practically.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
