Are You Going the Same Way?

Two people can walk side by side and still not be heading the same direction. (This is the point I say, “Selah.” Lol)

It’s easy to confuse chemistry with compatibility.

You enjoy the same music, laugh at the same memes, and finish each other’s sentences… but, my friend, are your values aligned?

Do your visions complement?

Are your lives truly walking in the same direction—or just crossing paths for a while?

Dear singles, before you fall in love with someone’s smile, pay attention to their moves.

Where are they headed in life?

Do they honour God when no one’s watching?

Can they lead—or follow—when needed?

It’s better to walk alone than to link arms with someone headed somewhere God didn’t send you.

Dear married couples, just because you have said “I do” doesn’t mean you should stop aligning.

Life changes. Goals evolve. Priorities shift.

So, keep checking in:

Are we still walking together or just sharing a roof?

Are we still talking about our future, or just our bills?

Are we building something eternal—or just surviving the day?

This agreement is important in relationships and marriage.

“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” Amos 3:3

Agreement doesn’t mean sameness. It means unity. Understanding. Intentional movement in the same direction.

Whether you’re waiting, dating, or already deep into the journey, the question remains:

Are we going the same way?

If not, it’s time to pause, pray, and realign.

Because when hearts move in sync, the journey becomes joy, regardless of the twists and turns.

Preparing Your Children For A Meeting

Preparing Your Children For A Meeting

Reading Time: 2 minutes

At every meeting, each party comes with something to ask, share, or do. Meeting with God is much the same thing. So, what are the things to bring along to this meeting?

1. Your time:

The first thing that you need to bring is your time. This is very important. If you don’t give God enough time, you won’t get the best of Him. Do not come into God’s presence with the intention of hurrying away. God has all the time in the world for you, why not give Him enough time as well.

2. Your heart:

At the place of meeting, ensure that your heart is there connected to God and not distracted. That’s why you need to meet in a place that distractions will be absent. A distracted heart won’t connect to God’s heart and the purpose of the meeting won’t be achieved.

It’s not the time to start thinking of other things. Constantly check your thoughts and drag them back to the meeting at hand in case you find yourself distracted.

Another thing is to ensure that there is no sin in your heart. Ask for forgiveness because God won’t answer you if there is sin in your heart. The Holy Spirit can reveal to you, certain wrong acts while in His presence. Do well to yield to this revelation by asking for forgiveness immediately.

If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear: Ps 66:18, ASV

Your heart is very key in connecting to God.

May you get the best of God. Amen.

Prayer:
God, thank you for your love for me always.

Action point:
Are you giving God the best of these things? If not start now.

Declaration
My life is full of praise and worship. I will give my best to God.

The Best Location For Your Devotion

The Best Location For Your Devotion

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Now that you have decided to make spending regular time in God’s presence a habit, where to meet should be the next item on your agenda. Every meeting has a location. What is the best location for your devotion?

1. Do you have enough privacy with no disturbance at all?

Disturbances will break the flow of your connection with God. This can be exhausting and discouraging. So, find a place where you know that for that period, you won’t be disturbed. Having people around or constantly passing by you can be a huge distraction.

2. Is the place clean and not cluttered?

“Cleanliness is next to Godliness” This makes us understand that God not only looks at how clean our hearts are but, also how clean we keep our bodies. He is holy and part of holiness is keeping our bodies clean. God deserves to be worshipped in a clean environment.

Also, a cluttered environment causes your focus to wander from time to time when your eyes fall on objects in the environment.

3. Is the location quiet?

Meeting with God in a quiet environment enables your mind to focus on Him highly. The absence of noise helps you to quickly hear Him speak to you. You can hear His quiet, still voice.

That’s why it is highly recommended that you meet with God early in the morning before everyone wakes up.

And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

Mark 1:35, KJV

Considering these things will greatly improve your prayer time with God.

God bless you. Amen.

Prayer:
Lord, I seek to meet You in a place where we will both not be disturbed. Help me to find such a place. Amen.

Action plan:
Ask God to help you find a convenient place.

Declaration:
I will meet with God on a daily basis. He will show me where to meet with him.
