3. When the couples keep secrets from each other
There are different vital information that your spouse considers you should not keep away from them. Keeping such information away for whatever reasons could create a crack in the marriage. Trust is broken and you never see yourself as being naked and not ashamed.
4. When there is still parental influence
The Bible clearly says in Gen 2: 23, the husband should leave father and mother and cleave to his wife.
Parents, no doubt, want what is best for their children but we have to obey scriptures for our marriage to work like God planned it. Parents could be sentimental and biased when it comes to their opinion or judging issues in case there is a misunderstanding. So avoid the involvement of your own parents in your marital affairs as much as possible.

5. When there is extramarital affairs
When there is extra marital affairs either by the husband or wife or from both couples, it’s a serious sign that all is not well. Whatever the justification whether out of retaliation, offense, being promiscuous, ignorance, neglect from either spouse, health conditions, financial constraints or whatever the reason. Whenever there is infidelity there is serious problem.
Maybe it is not a full blown affair, it is still under an emotional affair or an office affair they are all danger signs.
Seek help before it gets out of hand.

Here are some reasons why men often delay or develop a sore foot when it comes to getting married.
4. They don’t want to lose all the attention they get from girlfriends
He may just still be that handsome boyfriend that all other girlfriends are doting over.
So he wants to enjoy the attention and he feels the marriage will take that attention away.
5. They still want to have fun
He is a party freak and he knows that marriage will ‘imprison’ him.
So, he prefers to stay acquitted and discharged.
He has a warped view of what marriage really is.
He might still want to also stay in touch with his ex or exes for sexual gratification.
6. They are not really in love
He may not really be in love with you. He may just be holding unto you because of the fun he gets constantly.
As far as he is concerned, marriage is all about sex
Since he can get it now, then there is no need to take it to the next level with deeper commitments, especially when finances would be involved.
7. They don’t want any commitment yet
He is just not interested in having any commitments because he believes he wouldn’t have that ‘time’ to himself again.
8. They are just not sincere
He may just not be sincere with you.
So he keeps postponing and postponing when in reality, he is not going to get married to you.
This is nothing short of designer wickedness!
9. They have not made up their minds on who they want
He is still unsure of who the best is among his numerous girlfriends.
And that is where the problem is, double dating and pre-maritals bring confusion into the soul.
The more girls he gets involved with in his bid to decide, the more confused he becomes.
The more he looks, the less he sees until he can see nothing in the midst of everything!
10. They don’t really understand the biblical concept of marriage
When a man doesn’t have a relationship with God, he would not really understand the true purpose of marriage and that would eventually inform his actions and decisions.
That is why as a marriage counselor, I often say that it is unwise to get involved with a man that doesn’t truly love God!

We all need help at some point or another. Needing help just shows that we are only humans and there is nothing to be ashamed of when we need help.
Some couples out of shame and not being sincere have sabotaged their marriage. In the physical, we have hospitals and Doctors to the sick. What of if the sick is ashamed and refuses to open up or go to the hospital? He simply die in his sickness.
Help is always available to whosoever will seek the necessary help when necessary.
In marriage too, we need help at different times for different reasons.
Your marriage may need help if these 5 signs are obvious in your marriage but of cause, it is not limited to these 5 things.

1. If the wife is always denying her husband sex either to punish him or get her way. The need for sex in man is so enormous that this need has to be met. A man is satisfied and optimal condition when he has regular Jerusalem trips.
Yes, the wife could have a lot of reasons why they deny them but please this has to be talked about. Seek help through books or counselor. Don’t keep quiet, as this could be detrimental to your marriage.
2. When there is regular misunderstanding and strife that lingers. Find the source of your constant quarrels and prayerfully get to the root of it. Obviously, you will marry someone opposite of you. Your spouse will be of a different temperament to you. Try and accommodate your spouse excess while you grow up to maturity together.

I have often been asked why guys often delay in marriage. From ladies’ expectations towards court marriage, church marriage, or traditional marriage, there have been so many disappointments and sudden cancellations.
Oftentimes, people enter relationships without marriage counseling of any form. These days, there are many good and godly marriage therapists especially in form of online marriage counseling.
The single, as well as the married, are supposed to take advantage of all these in order to ensure that mistakes are avoided.

1. They are actually not ready Most of the time, the guys are not ready. So when you start talking about marriage, they hear you with one side of the ear and allow it to escape through the other.

They will usually ask you to wait or even get angry when you bring up the subject. Don’t waste your time trying to beg him, he is simply not ready. If you successfully push him into marriage, he would complain for a long time at any slight pressure.
2. They are scared of responsibilities Another reason is that an average man is just scared of the responsibilities involved especially if he has gone through the trauma of being raised in a broken home or by a divorcee.
It all has a way of influencing his perspectives on marriage. Only God’s word can bring renewal of mind and a balanced outlook to what marriage really is.
3. They are not ready to raise a family They may just not be ready to raise a family. In his mind, someone is still raising him as far as he is concerned. He is still Mummy’s boy.
If you marry a mummy’s boy, the mummy will rule your home, in reality, or by proxy.

The Bible says husbands enjoy the wife of their youth. This means enjoying yourself while you have strength as a young couple. Don’t be too serious at home and learn to live together as best friends. Don’t allow the pressure of finances, raising children, in-laws, and others to destabilize your togetherness.
Your spring water is for you and you only, not to be passed around among strangers. Bless your fresh-flowing fountain! Enjoy the wife you married as a young man! Lovely as an angel, beautiful as a rose — don’t ever quit taking delight in her body. Never take her love for granted! Why would you trade enduring intimacies for cheap thrills with a whore? for dalliance with a promiscuous stranger?

Between the two of you, one person will be more playful. Let the playful one take the initiative and the other follows suit.
The Holy Spirit knows what He’s saying when He says enjoy the wife of your youth. Be deliberate in making each other happy. Do not make others outside your home or marriage happy at the expense of your spouse.
