How will you know if your lover truly loves you or not?
He will love God first
This is the first acid test to know whether a man would really love you appropriately or understands what love is.
Listen to me, guys, you will never be able to love a lady the right way until you love God first.
You don’t love a woman with money alone or with fame, otherwise, the love tangos of celebrities should have been successful, but that is not always the case. The fundamental cause of marriage failure among them is that they don’t know God.
God is love and love without God is no love, it becomes lust
Is he a God-lover? If he has issues with loving God, he will have issues with loving you. True love can only be shed abroad in your heart by the Spirit of God.
It is only the God factor in a man that won’t allow him to lift up his hands against his wife in the days on anger.
Will those days come? Yes, they will come, but what will restrain a man from the tendency of beating and battering his wife is that fear of God.
So then, Pastor, how do you know a man that loves God?
a. He would want to obey God always. If you love God, you will keep His commandments. That is what Jesus said. He wouldn’t be insisting on pre-marital sex.
b. He will serve God with his time. He wouldn’t be too busy to serve God in any capacity.
c. He will serve God with his finances. He will not struggle with tithe. That is how you know a man that really loves God.
d. He will listen to his pastor or mentor. If a man loves God, he wouldn’t have problems with the servants of God.

e. He doesn’t joke with his devotional life. He knows that is the source of his strength in God.
f. He will not manipulate your emotions or try to use you. The fear of God in him would not allow all that.
g. He will not be “okay” with habitual sins. He will be uncomfortable with offending God in anyway.
h. He will not be able to accommodate strife for too long. He will be forgiving and will not be comfortable quarreling for extended number of days without feeling bad about that attitude.
I can go on and on but those are just a few.
At the background of all these, however is the fact that nobody is perfect, and nobody will have it all. You will never be able to see a man that has it all. We are all “works of project” in the making.
So there may be mistakes here and there, but you will see signs of genuine repentance and willingness to make adjustments.
At the height of all these, do you have peace? If you have peace, then go ahead, irrespective of some imperfections. When I say, imperfections, I don’t mean consistent habitual sins!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY Lord, teach me in the way to go and guide my feet into your plans
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY “No one who abides in Him [ who lives and remains in communion with and in obedience to Him—deliberately, knowingly, and habitually ] commits (practices) sin. No one who [ habitually ] sins has either seen or known Him [ recognized, perceived, or understood Him, or has had an experiential acquaintance with Him ].” (1Jn 3:6, AMP)

Confession For Today
Oil For Today – Day 115
This day, the Lord will hear my voice. My king and my God will hearken to my cry. As I call upon you, you hear me and answer me. The desires of my heart, you will grant. By your mercy, all I ever need, you will supply. In my relationship/marriage, my voice will not be muted. In my relationship/marriage, you are lifting me up. Today, I receive fresh energy to call upon you. So shall it be, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Praying for the unsaved is the instruction of God to everyone of His child. Who are the unsaved? There are people who don’t know about Jesus. They could be around you or not. These are the people you should remember constantly in your prayers.
Pray that the Holy Spirit will help them to accept Christ into their lives. They could have heard about Christ and still be unwilling to accept Him. It’s only the Holy Spirit that can convince them of who Jesus is and make them yield to Him. Pray also, for those who have never heard of Christ before. Pray that they will have an encounter with someone who would tell them about Jesus. Remember that praying for the unsaved is your duty.
God loves it when we pray for people to know Christ because He wants everyone to enjoy the benefits of having Christ in their lives.
It’s a generationwhere husbands and wives are cheating on each other, even within the church. People have a lot of excuses why it had to happen.
It’s all sounding as if God has revised the scriptures and is now accommodating such lifestyles, but truthfully, the scripture remains the same. God still frowns at it!
The devil is a master strategist. From the very day you are married, he begins to plot and twist, all in a bid to bring you against your maker. You must do well not to slide into his slimy descent of deception.
As couples, you have to stay chaste and stay faithful no matter the pressures!
Have you found yourself where you ought not to? Here are three simple steps you can take to exit!
God wants you to exit, not try to edit the whole thing!
1. God Exit You have to settle with God first. Your relationship with Him which has been damaged as a result of disobedience has to be repaired. This is done with a genuinely repentant heart.
“But if we freely admit our sins when his light uncovers them, he will be faithful to forgive us every time. God is just to forgive us our sins because of Christ, and he will continue to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
(1Jn 1:9, TPT)
God forgives!
However, you must make up your mind not to go back into that sin again.
After settling with God, the next is your spouse.
2. Spouse Exit This is the difficult part but very much necessary. You need that openness to demonstrate your honesty and resolve to change. Remember, however, that after disclosing it, you may be relieved, but for your spouse, a cycle of pain, and struggling with forgiveness just began. It might take a while to earn trust back. You must be careful not to break that fragile trust again.
3. Counsel Exit Here you need someone you are going to be accountable to who will also help you navigate the terrain of rebuilding trust and staying true to your resolve not to dabble into the murky waters of adultery again!
May God help you indeed!
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I choose to cooperate with my spouse
PRAYER FOR THE DAY Lord, help me to cooperate with my spouse
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY 1 John 1:9 (BBE)If we say openly that we have done wrong, he is upright and true to his word, giving us forgiveness of sins and making us clean from all evil.
Today we will be examining “My Children Seek God Early.” It is good for your children to get to know God later in life, but early is better.
The bible is filled with several promises for us to profit with.
There are promises for good health, promotion, assurance, favour, mercy, strength, provision and so on.
One of such promises is found in
Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Isa 55:6 (KJV)
It can be frustrating searching for your Sunday school notebook, especially on Sunday morning.
If care is not taken, you might have to forfeit it and use another note, so your parents don’t leave you at home.
There is a time to seek the Lord. There is a time to serve the Lord. God is saying a time is coming when you will seek me and you won’t find me. A time is coming when you will call my name and you won’t hear a word from me. May that not be our portion in Jesus’ name.
The above verse tells us that there comes a time when the Lord may not be found. Hence, it is wise for us to put them in the way of the Lord from the cradle.
Children, now is the best time to seek the Lord.
Do you remember what Solomon said?
Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;
Ecclesiastes 12:1 (KJV)
A time is coming when you won’t find pleasure in all these things. Now that you are young, maximize the opportunity.
As parents, we are to ensure our children seek God early in life. No one is too young to seek God. Josiah became King at a very tender age and he ruled well.
As long as your children can call on you, they should be taught how to call on God. God will answer because he is interested in children.
Declaration: My Children Seek God. My children call on the Lord. Early in life, they turn to the Lord. Amen
