Tapping Into God’s Faithfulness For Marital Settlement

Tapping Into God’s Faithfulness For Marital Settlement

Reading Time: 2 minutes

The faithfulness of God never ceases to amaze me. It is beyond every explanation. It is beyond the parameters of cognition. It supersedes the highest of the mountains, the loftiest of the buildings, the grandest of the beauty in nature, and the calmness of the night seasons.

It is a thing to know God is faithful, it is another thing to JUDGE God faithful. Ever thought of that?

The scripture elucidates here;

Heb 11:11 (KJV) Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

Our discourse tonight centers around the verse above. I want you to see it as I see it and as God wants you to see it. The reason Sarah received strength to conceive seed and was delivered was because she JUDGED God faithful!

Oh, how that percolates to very bone marrow!

Can you judge God faithful in your relationship? Can you judge God faithful in that broken relationship and abandoned wedding plans?

Everything about Sarah’s conceiving looked like a mirage, but she JUDGED God faithful.

I now love the Passion Translation!

Heb 11:11 (TPT) Sarah’s faith embraced the miracle power to conceive even though she was barren and was past the age of childbearing, for the authority of her faith rested in the One who made the promise, and she TAPPED into his faithfulness.

Whoa!

Can you dare to tap into His faithfulness today concerning the deepest desires of your heart? Can you tap into God’s faithfulness concerning that brother or sister? Can you tap into God’s faithfulness concerning that issue that looks like delay?

Oh sure, if Sarah did allow the authority of her faith to rest in the one who made the promise, then you can too!

I pray that God grant you more understanding to TAP into His faithfulness!

Be blessed today and always!

I judge God faithful.

Go ahead and tap into the faithfulness of God.

Run Away From This Kind of Men – Part 2

Run Away From This Kind of Men – Part 2

Reading Time: 3 minutes

I saw on our Facebook page a comment where somebody said that all men are liars. She said there are no truthful men. It was the same thing Elijah said at a time when he told God that all the people are compromised except him, but God told him there are still 7,000 men who have not bowed to Baal!

The truth is that you will always attract what you believe. A person’s life will always move in the direction of his most dominant thoughts. If you believe all men are liars, that is who will be attracted. It is one of the basic laws. If you believe there are faithful men and there are, you will be found of such people.

I understand a bit where the lady that commented might be coming from. It is possible she has had several negative experiences with men and I feel for her. But you see, experiences will not nullify the truth of God’s word!

This is the lesson here, never allow your experiences to overshadow the truth of God’s word in your life!

Back to our devotional:

Yesterday, I showed you two kinds of men you should run away from.

1. The man I am not in love with
2. The man that tells lies

3. The man that is unfaithful
Well, I have heard some ladies say things like every man is unfaithful. There is no man that doesn’t have other ladies out there. That is not true and that is a justification and encouragement of adultery. That concept is from the pit of hell.

If all men cheat on their wives, then what have we been teaching? Where is the place of the delivering power of God? Where is the place of renewal of mind by God’s word?

I don’t cheat on my wife and I don’t have any lady out there and I know I am not alone!

If I were a single lady, I will run away from a guy who is already rehearsing for adultery during a supposed courtship. I will not accommodate or manage iniquity.

But pastor, if I am too hard, will I get a spouse? You see, it is not about being hard; you shouldn’t be hard on anybody because you are not perfect yourself, but you should seek to obey God! That’s all. Follow God! I am sure God does not want you involved with a guy who wants to marry you and who has still has other girlfriends and you know! God is not in that kind of arrangement!

4. The man that doesn’t love God
If I were a single lady, I will not get involved with a man that doesn’t love God. If he doesn’t love God and has no regard for God, it will invariably affect you one way or the other.

But Pastor, what if I want to change him? You are not a “changer” You are not the Holy Spirit who convicts! Listen to me, there is something about a family that loves God.

Now, I have to balance this out here. What about those that are already married?
Pastor, are you saying I should leave my spouse? NO! Is there still hope for things to be made right? YES!

There could even be situations where you got married as an unbeliever. Now you got born again. Do you leave your spouse? No! You step into intercession and the place of prayers to trust God for your spouse as well. And believe me, God will answer a heartfelt prayer for your spouse, because God is not only interested in individuals, He is also interested in families.

Never give up on God, because God will never give up on you!

Shalom!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I know how to love correctly.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord, help me not to fall in love with the wrong person. Teach me when to run away.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Don’t turn your back on wisdom, for she will protect you. Love her, and she will guard you. Prov 4:6 (NLT)

ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY
Take an inventory of your love life. Run away when neccessary.

How To Ask And Receive – 28th of March 2021

How To Ask And Receive – 28th of March 2021

Reading Time: 2 minutes

How To Ask and Receive was taught by Rev. Dunamis Okunowo on the 28th of March 2021 at Shouts of Grace Center, Joke Plaza, Beside Trans Amusement Park, Bodija-UI Road, Ibadan.

To Listen to the audio of this message, kindly go HERE or HERE

From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

James 4:`1-6, KJV

Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

1 John 3:15, KJV

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:19, KJV

From his teaching he made the following vital points

  • If God makes a promise and it doesn’t come to pass, it is not God, but man because God is not a man that He should lie nor the son of man that He should repent. He says a thing and it comes to pass. Even if it takes a while it will surely manifest.
  • Asking requires humility
  • Nothing comes to you unless God approves. Everything that will be given to you should come from above. That’s where you seal the deal.
  • People who know how to access power from God will go ahead in life.
  • When you pass the test, you’ll access your promised land. God takes you through the process to check your heart. He doesn’t want you to serve because of what you can get from Him but because you love Him.
  • The reason you don’t have is because you don’t ask. ASK! JUST ASK!
  • Nobody gets married without asking.
  • Ask based on need, Ask with wisdom and understanding. Don’t ask amiss.
  • Need means a necessity. If you have a necessity in your life now, you have a right to ask.
  • Everything and anything and beyond that you can ask for in domiciled in God’s riches in glory by Christ Jesus
  • Of what benefit is what I’m asking not just to me, but for/to others? Ask yourself this question before you ask for anything or make a request. Check your motives for asking.
  • If you are asking with a vow in mind, redeem your vow when your request is granted.
  • When you learn not to consume wealth upon your lusts, you are not asking amiss.
