We started this topic a few on the things that the husband will want his wife to do for him days back. We looked at
1. Lovingly ask your husband what his present needs are and how you can meet them.
Today we will look at
2. Be ready to offer him help.
I know some women could be saying, I need help also let him help himself, is he a baby?
And yes, it could be overwhelming. When you work at a job, care for the house, the children, go to the market, do the laundry sometimes, there seems to be no time to take care of yourself, let alone help him out.
I always tell people, God is asking you to be everything. He is asking to be all that is needed par time with the strength He supplies.
This help could be as simple as being a good listener, who offered support.
There is capacity inside every woman to function as a helper. This is an unselfish role. You must be willing to the embassy this role and put on the garment of a helper.
Remember: you want to be a wife that will be celebrated, whose rewards will be obvious to all.

3. Pray for you husband
Some people believe that when you pray you are being fanatical. Well, try functioning without oxygen and see how far you can go. It’s almost impossible.
You pray not only because you have a problem. Develop a relationship with the Father. In that case you learn to talk with Him about everything, especially about your husband.
Pray for his protection in this evil world. Pray for his job. You can make use a daily praying guide.
Remember, when you are praying for your husband, you are praying for yourself.
4. Submission is a vital part of the deal
The word submission have been abused and it’s intention has been reduced to merely that of the lord and servant.
Submission and love go hand in hand. A wife that is loved, will definitely be submitted.
The role of a woman viz a viz that of a man requires her to be submissive.
She is not inferior to her husband, but positionally, she occupies the second position.
For any woman or wife to make the home and marriage worthwhile, she has to be submissive to her own husband.
5. Respect him.
There is no husband who does not like being respected. If you think respect is no big deal to your husband, wait till someone else gives him respect and see what happens.
If your husband is not making a big deal of you respecting him, wait till a few more years. It will be as if your husband has changed from who he was. So it’s better to begin now, practicing respecting him.
Respect can be seen in almost everything. From how you prepare his food, to the way it is served, how you talk to him and talk about him in private and public, all reveal the way you value and respect him.
I believe if we can do these things, we will be loved, cherished and valued more by our husband.

There are so many things you can do as a wife that will earn you high scores with your hubby. We may often get confused as to what we should do as wives. That was my case a few years ago when I just got married to my hubby. I was always reading books on marriage.
All I wanted to be was the best wife and for my husband and me to be so loving. I had that burning desire and I still do. At that time, the numerous books I read left me confused as there were so many things to be done.
I feel there are basic things we should consecrate on as wives. Our husbands have different needs per time. Their needs and what they desire change due to a lot of reasons ranging from work pressure, age, social status, background, financial status, health, spiritual needs, taste, temperamental makeup, emotional strength, and so on.
With all these changes and with the fact that our husbands are not so relational, that they will not necessarily communicate their needs to us as we expect.
That is why the woman should use her God-given ability to perceive and her intuition. Never be presumptuous or emotional in determining your husband’s needs.

1. Lovingly ask your husband what his present needs are and how you can meet them. Even though your husband will not tell you what he needs sometimes because of his ego, he will tell you when you ask him. Men are logical and prefer to be asked how you can help, rather than they ask you to help them. They feel more secure and a little bit protected.
When you do this as a wife, it shows you are not claiming you know him but respect him enough to approach him about how he wants you to best meet his needs.
It also shows humility and a willingness to treat him as a unique individual with specific desires.

This is a very practical topic. Sometimes, husbands do things that annoy their wives and they don’t even know it.
The man may be born again, tongue talking, demon chasing, and heaven-bound. This does not really matter.
We all as believers are trying to walk more and follow the dictates of the spirit. The more we walk and follow the dictates of the spirit, the better and more sensitive we are and the better our relationship with our spouse is.
We are able to apologize on time and forgive easily. Everybody, whether male or female has certain tendencies.
Unfortunately, it is those tendencies that annoy our spouse because the opposite really does attract. When we attract each other and are married, then we begin to repel each other. We must manage these differences if we must live a happy married life.

1. Husbands annoy their wives when they spend all their evenings hanging out with their buddies and leave their wives alone.
2. When the husband is glued to the television watching a match or movie and gives his wife monosyllable answers. She is gradually taught to bottle things up.
3. When the husband watches his wife do all house chores without offering a helping hand. She feels like a slave and could be bitter. The husband in turn is frustrated but he caused it.
4. When the husband keeps secrets and hides things from his wife.
5. When the husband does not compliment and appreciate his wife but does that to other women.
6. When the husband doesn’t give enough money for the house keeps yet, expect the most expensive things to eat, wear and expect a beautiful house.
7. When the husband demands respect at all cost without being loving and tender to his wife.
8. When the husband expects a super woman and a ‘lamb’ in the day and a ‘lion’ at night. He expects her to be submissive in the day and aggressive in bed at night.
9. When the husband expects the wife to be near perfect with no flaws when he himself is not in any way near perfect. He excuses his own shortcomings but he is hard on his wife’s weakness.
10. When the husband is not a faithful friend and does not honor the marriage vows but expects his wife to be a faithful covenant partner.

A lot of men seem to have a lot of complaints about their wives. They really don’t seem to understand them. To say the least, most men think their wives are very annoying.
This could be because of their temperamental differences and more so, the male-female differences.
Men basically are logical and women are basically emotional beings.
What men and usually most husbands call ‘annoying’, is the emotional side of their wife which men do not understand.
For example, a husband cannot make sense/logic out of a woman crying over every issue. Your child has Malaria, she cries. Your child is going to school, she cries, and so on.

It takes a mature man to understand his wife and be patient.
My attempt this morning is not trying to justify the annoying things that women do but to point them out. Let the wives know it annoys their husbands and become mature emotionally to prevent such.
Here are ten annoying things wives do for their husband
1. Getting moody without any explanation and thinking the husband has some superpowers to decode their moods. Your husband does not have superpowers, so you have to try and articulate yourself.
2. When your wife wants something and she doesn’t go straight to the point. It could be annoying. Dear husband, try to cope and lovingly bear with your wife.
3. Nagging is another thing that annoys men. Women are known to nag when they want something to be done or not to be done.
4. Withdrawal is another annoying thing women do. When women withdraw, their husband can’t place their hands on what exactly is wrong and it keeps them wondering.
5. When your wife is disobedient and recalcitrant, it could be annoying. Women are supposed to be submissive and when they are not, the husband finds it annoying.
6. The silent treatment is another annoying feat that wives throw. The silent treatment is not only rude, it is killing. It can drive the husband nuts and drive him to go look for a girlfriend outside the matrimonial home.
7. When the wife does not know how to keep the house tidy and everywhere is unkempt. The woman has failed in her responsibility as a wife.
8. It could be annoying when a wife tries to be her husband’s mother and not his wife. She tries to continue the correction and the training of her husband
9. When a wife complains about her husband’s spirituality or lack of it, his job, his parents, his siblings, money, et cetera, and she is generally not content
10. When a wife is too serious. Mostly, every man wants a playmate in his wife. The little boy in him wants to play and unburden himself.
It is annoying to the husband when the wife is too concerned about pepper, tomatoes, children, and so on and cannot let those things be and enjoy her husband.
Wives, get past this, and don’t be lost in your own world. Remember you have a husband. Help him to understand you.

Yes, I am talking about Sarah Abraham of the Bible. Have you ever wondered what Sarah’s secret was?
We have today Victoria’s Secret, which has to do with the secret in the beauty world. Today, we want to learn the secret behind this woman, Sarah.
She was a typical no-nonsense lady, the prim and proper type of lady that tends to correct and put everyone on their toes. With 380 servants that were born in their house, I’m sure she had a very big house.
Sarah was the CEO, MD of Abraham holdings. She was an ironwoman who knew her onions. She was both feared and respected.
She was not the only good woman in the Bible, so what qualified her to be mentioned among the hall of fame of Hebrew 11?
How many of us knew Sarah as not always being submissive? It was recorded that she resulted to taking things into her hands and decided to help God, and gave Abraham her Servant, Haggai in Gen 16: 1-4.
Abraham was the typical phlegmatic, cool and God fearing husband. He was a lover of peace and so we could conclude that he had left the leadership of running the home to Sarah, who was capable.

It was possible she was bitter against God and some times, her husband. It is possible it was her bitterness that closed her womb for so long, before God changed her name from Sarai (contentious) to Sarah (princess).
It was at this point when there was a divine visitation and her contention confronted (Gen 18:12-13) that she dared to believe God and judge Him faithful. The Bible recorded in Heb 11:11 that Sarah herself received strength to bear a son.
It was also at this junction she became submissive to Abraham and bible says she called him lord.
1Pet3:5-6 (GNB) For the devout women of the past who placed their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful by submitting themselves to their husbands. Sarah was like that; she obeyed Abraham and called him her master. You are now her daughters if you do good and are not afraid of anything.
Sarah’s secret was that even though it was not her natural tendency to be submissive, when she knew it was God’s will for her, she repented. She submitted so much, she started calling her husband ‘my lord’.
What a woman! She moved from being contentious to becoming a princess. That became the secret of her beauty and youthfulness. Not her cream, beauty routine or makeup. Her real secret was in her meek and a quiet spirit.
She had to change! She was willing to drop her old self and embrace who God says she is. Her reward; she was blessed beyond measure. She was blessed and protected every where she went because God was with her.
Dear wife, if you want to be like Sarah, you can be like her. She was willing to change and repent. She submitted to her Lord and Abraham her lord. That my dear lady was Sarah’s secret.
