The Tale of The Spider In The Palace

The Tale of The Spider In The Palace

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Spider in the palace? That is sacrilegious! How did it get there? Who granted it entrance? Where are the palace guards? How dare such a creature be allowed into the most secured and guarded place?

It can’t just be. Maybe you did not see well. Or maybe you are hungry and you are taken by mirage or simply hallucinating. It can’t be! Spider sha? No way!

If you are even talking of a lion in all its, strength we can understand. If you say it’s an elephant, oh that is understandable, for who will dare stop the humongous beast from trampling on where it wants?

But a spider! Ordinary spider! Something I can crush with my leg. Spider ko, spider man ni!

But wow, there it is. The spider is actually in the palace!

How did it enter!

The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings’ palaces.

Pro 30:28 (KJV)

It’s by her hands! It’s by its skill. It’s by what it can do!

An entrance was granted to the spider by reason of the skill it brings to the table.

As singles, I want to encourage you this morning, identify a skill that is inherent and develop it. Maximize it. Don’t be laid back in life for life has no place for such people.

Take hold with your hands like the spider and you will find yourself in palaces.

By the time you are thinking about marriage, you should have a definite stream of income! Nobody wants to marry a liability. That is a simple truth!

Go learn something! How to sew, bake, and such things as additional things you can do. There is money there!

And if you are particularly career-driven, then study more courses that will enhance your area of dexterity!

I pray God will give more understanding today in Jesus name

Have a blessed day!

The Spider Which Entered Into Greatness

The Spider Which Entered Into Greatness

Reading Time: 2 minutes

It’s a lie! A Spider cannot be in the palace. How can you even conceive that? Merely saying it is so disrespectful to royalty. Who granted it entrance? Do you mean it went through the palace guards? How dare such a creature be allowed into the most secured and guarded place?

It can’t just be. Maybe you did not see well, or maybe you are hungry and you are taken by mirage or simply hallucinating. It can’t be! Spider sha? No way!

As married couples, you must take hold with your hands and bring something concrete to the table.

Husbands who don’t work or are lazy eventually become docile and end up abdicating their responsibility and alongside their leadership of the home.

Wives who don’t work or are lazy end up becoming liabilities, resorting to being busybodies and gossips. As they say, an idle mind is devil’s workshop.

Don’t get me wrong! There are times you can’t help it and you are simply sacked or just couldn’t get a good job in time.

At such times, you are to stay with your spouse and pray through those times because you know that your spouse is not lazy.

What I am saying is that you can be out of jobs for whatever reason, but never be out of work!

Create work for yourself, and be skillful in the discharge of your gifts. You will eventually find yourself in the palace and in a great place, by taking hold with your hands!

I pray God grants you more understanding.

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I am not a lazy man/woman.

Ask for the enablement to use your gifts well.

How To Apply Common Sense In Your Relationship

How To Apply Common Sense In Your Relationship

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Sense is described by Word Web dictionary as “The faculty through which the external world is apprehended”

As Buddy entered his friend’s house, you could tell he was excited. He was grinning from ear to ear he could almost eat Banana from the side of his mouth.

Woah! I have finally found my wife. I am so much in love with her. I asked her out and she said Yes.’

Daniel was happy for him.

‘When did you meet her?’
‘Two hours ago.’

‘What is her name?’
‘Lovett, I don’t know her surname.’

‘And you already asked her out?’
‘Yes.’

‘And she said yes?’
‘Of course now, what is the meaning of all these questions?’

‘Where is she from?’
‘I don’t know. She must be from heaven.’

‘What does she do?’
‘I don’t know, but she has hot legs!’

One other question that every single will be confronted with is the question of common sense.

You see, you are not supposed to fall in love with strangers. True love emanates from the knowledge of the characters involved. You hardly know somebody you just met some thirty minutes ago. True love should spring up from friendship.

God gave you a brain so that you will not disturb him on some issues that you can already find their answers in God’s Word.

‘I am so happy for you Comfort. Is he born again?
‘l don’t know but he goes to church.’

You don’t need somebody that you can’t even vouch for concerning Salvation. You need somebody that loves God!

‘He does not drink alcohol, he only takes Stout.’
‘He does not do weed, just normal cigarettes. I will convert him after marriage.’

You see, you are not the Holy Spirit. Watch the person you fall in love with. Use your gumption. Spirituality does not mean stupidity or thoughtlessness. The scripture says that discretion will preserve you!

‘I have aborted for him three times, but I cannot leave him. I love him.’ But when he finally ruins your chances of giving birth, he will leave you! Wake up! The reason you cannot leave him or her is not because of love but because of low self-esteem and soul ties, wrong bonding that comes as a result of violating God’s principles as regards jeru trip.

‘I know I am number three on his list.’ So what are you still doing, playing a second fiddle, opening your legs to a man that you know can drop you anytime? You see, hear me, and quote me anywhere, you cannot use jeru trip to buy love. Jeru trip does not guarantee marriage. In fact, it reduces its chances.

Whoever told you that you are ugly? It is money you need! When God blesses you, you will know how beautiful you are! Guys never have problems with appearance, it is always ladies. Haven’t you seen guys with their legs like Hockey sticks, and yet wearing three-quarters short? They don’t care! And they will come and ask you out like that, and you are like, What?

You are not ugly! Beauty is in the beholder’s eyes. You are fearfully and wonderfully created, so says the scriptures. You will be wonderful to some people, and fearful to others, so never mind if someone calls you ‘ugly’ When you meet your spouse, you will be wonderful! So, believe in God and believe in yourself!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I will apply discretion in every area of my relationship as God helps me

PRAYERS FOR THE DAY
Lord, I ask that you give me wisdom and understanding in my relationship in Jesus name.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Proverbs 11:29 [MSG] Exploit or abuse your family, and end up with a fistful of air; common sense tells you it’s a stupid way to live.

Gbemisoke By Pastor Dunamis (31st October 2021)

Gbemisoke By Pastor Dunamis (31st October 2021)

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Gbemisoke was taught by Rev. Dunamis Okunowo on the 31st of October 2021 at Shouts of Grace Center, Joke Plaza, Beside Trans Amusement Park, Bodija-UI Road, Ibadan.

In his teaching, Rev. Dunamis made mention of the following important points:

Gbemisoke is a Yoruba word referring to God as the lifter up of heads.

Everyone desires to do great things in life (we have dreams, desires, etc), but we must understand that there are some things you need to do for these things to happen:

1. Spiritual Capital

This has to do with the ministry of the Word and prayer.

But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

Acts 6:4 (KJV)

It is only a careless believer that leaves the house without spending time with God in prayer and in the word. The ministry of the Word is what we have to do daily.

One of the areas you don’t outgrow in Christianity is the ministry of the Word and prayer.
Prayer, to God, is fellowship; it’s not a time to slam your requests on God and run away.

If the spiritual capital is not there, even if God lifts up your head, it will go down again.

God looks at you carefully before He lifts up your head; if the lifting of your head will lead you to hell, then God will not lift it. Lack of spiritual capital will limit ‘Gbemisoke’ in your life.

2. The Physical Cost

Grace is not an excuse to be lazy.

But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which [was bestowed] upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

1 Corinthians 15:10 (KJV)

The physical cost requires you doing something with the grace of God that has been bestowed on you.

The grace of God is for productivity. Life does not respect those that just quote Scriptures; life respects those that produce. You must produce!

Laziness will only frustrate the grace of God.

Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, [even] to the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.

Joshua 1:2-3 (KJV)

God gave them the land, but yet told them “every place that your foot touches becomes yours.” That was their part to fulfill.

If you don’t ‘walk through,’ then you can’t possess the land.

And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, [then] shall thy seed also be numbered. Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.

Genesis 13:14-17 (KJV)

3. Mental Cost

This speaks of focus, dedication, and diligence.
You cannot excel in anything you don’t focus on. Whatever you don’t focus on you can never become an expert in.

4. Time Cost

God will not bless an abuser of time. You must learn to use time to your advantage.

Furthermore, Rev Dunamis taught from Psalm chapter 3.

LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many [are] they that rise up against me. Many [there be] which say of my soul, [There is] no help for him in God. Selah. But thou, O LORD, [art] a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

Psalm 3:1-3 (KJV)

When you are in a situation where no man can help you, stop running around with men; sit down with God. Gbemisoke is an attribute that fits only God.

It is not important what men are saying, what matters is what God is saying.

When you understand your position in God, you won’t fight back (you won’t take vengence into your hands).

If God is not your shield, you will die in the midst of those troubles.

When God becomes your shield, your enemies are in trouble.

God is a lifter. He desires to lift up!

And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up [herself]. And when Jesus saw her, he called [her to him], and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid [his] hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

Luke 13:11-13 (KJV)

God knows how to straighten destinies that are wobbled.
