The Dangers Of Fainting was taught by Rev. Dunamis Okunowo on the 16th of January 2022 at Shouts of Grace Center, Joke Plaza, Beside Trans Amusement Park, Bodija-UI Road, Ibadan.
In his teaching, Rev. Dunamis made mention of the following important points:
This is the year that you go after… you pursue… you don’t give up! The tragedy of our generation is that we give up easily. At the face of any slight opposition we give up. But you must determine not to pass out on God this year.
This year you will not stay behind!
And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he [was] faint: And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red [pottage]; for I [am] faint: therefore was his name called Edom. And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright. And Esau said, Behold, I [am] at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? Some Dangers Of Fainting:
Fainting can make you lose reasoning
Fainting can make you exchange something valuable for temporary pleasure.
You cannot afford to be faint this year; you got to be strong.
[If] thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength [is] small. Proverbs 24:10 (KJV)
The reason we faint is not because we’ve worked a lot; it’s because your strength is small. It is because you’ve not been paying attention to your strength.
Therefore, in this year GO FOR STRENGTH. If your strength is great, you cannot faint, and you will not experience the dangers of fainting.
All that has been lost in the last 5-10 years will be recovered in the name of Jesus!
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, [that] the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? [there is] no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to [them that have] no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint. God does not faint! If He does for a moment, the devil can wipe out the world. The solution to your fainting is power, and an increase in strength! God can top up your strength, if you allow Him.
Prayer:
I will not faint this year. LORD, strengthen me to pursue this year in the name of Jesus. The dangers of fainting will not be my experience.

7. Anointing of the Holy Ghost rest upon me afresh to be able to pursue, overtake and recover all the enemy has stolen in Jesus name
8. Every negative spirit that wants to hinder my progress, I frustrate you in Jesus name
9. I decree and declare I mount up with wings like the eagle in Jesus name

Confession For Today
Oil For Today – Day 192
I receive Grace to run and not be weary. To walk and not faint. My strength is renewed day by day. I mount up as an eagle. I wait on the Lord and I practise the presence of God. The joy of the Lord is my strength. I remain joyful everyday. I pursue, overtake and recover all with renewed strength today.
If life is all about seed, time, and harvest, then it means every time I tell a lie, get into falsehood, or I am insincere, I am sowing a seed. If the harvest will eventually come, the question is ‘what kind of harvest will come with those kinds of seed?
If I keep deceiving her while I have somebody else I really want to get married to, that would be a wrong seed to sow into my life.
If I start a secret relationship and try to hide from my spouse, and willfully continue in it, that would surely be a wrong seed!
The deal is very simple; if you don’t want the whirlwind, then don’t sow the wind!
For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind…(Hosea 8:7a KJV)
4. You will be able to deal with sins that thrive on secrecy
Do you know it takes secrecy to cheat on your spouse? Do you know it takes secrecy to double date? It goes without saying then, that if you can be sincere with your spouse to the last details, you will not be trapped!
If you know you cannot but tell your spouse everything that happened, then you are cautious about what you do because you still have to say everything.
The moment you can internalize it and hide it in marriage, you have just given the devil a foothold to operate!
Be sincere! When you are sincere, the power of iniquity will be broken!
Don’t give the Devil that kind of foothold in your life.
Iniquity is perpetuated in the atmosphere of secrecy. Make up your mind to hide nothing from your spouse, and you would have freed yourself from a lot of demonic strongholds without any deliverance sessions!
This does not necessarily mean having to dig into the past to bring out unnecessary issues that have been long forgotten and forgiven by God.
I am talking about present issues, daily happenstances, make up your mind to hide nothing, you will be amazed at how you have liberated yourself.
Your life of truthfulness or deception goes beyond you, it will be consequential upon your destiny, your lover, spouse, your children, and generation unborn.
This is because truthfulness or deception will inform your decisions and your decisions will inform how your life, that of your spouse, and your children turn out.
Decide today to be fruitful. It pays.

We stated in our devotional yesterday that there are some things that would not just work. As far as we are called ‘wife’ and we want to fulfill our destiny as godly wives, we must stay away from doing such things.
Yes, I agree that some of these things are the normal reactions that women find easy to do. They flow naturally with being women. Naturally, a woman finds it easy to want to disrespect or give the silent treatment when she is not pleased with her husband.
Remember, God has not called us as wives to do what flows with us or comes to our flesh as a natural behavior, but to be spirit controlled and mortify the deeds of the flesh.
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live – Rom 8:13
Yesterday we looked at two out of the five things not to do as a wife. They are
1. Disrespecting your husband
2. The silent treatment

3. Don’t Usurp Authority
Because women are multitasking, there is a natural tendency for them sometimes to want to fix everything. The mother hood instinct wants everything-to be in order. There is also a tendency in men to want to sit back and relax especially when the wife decides to step in and fix it all. The man is the head and the family should be run as a team work. Each person must have their roles to play and function in it. So as a wife, don’t usurp authority.
Let your husband remain the husband and you the wife. Stay at your duty post, don’t leave your duty and focus on the duties of your husband. If you do, you will end up being overwhelmed.
4. Don’t disobey your husband
This is very crucial. Your husband must be obeyed at every time. That is why every wife should be very prayerful. What prayer does is that it brings God to the affairs of your home to intervene. God has instituted it that the wife is protected in her obedience to her husband. As you pray and are ready to obey your husband, God will intervene in your affairs.
5. Don’t deny your husband Jeru trips
What jeru trip is to a woman is different from what it is to a man. Jeru trip is very necessary for men and guess what, you must be prepared for this task. It is the only task no woman can help you or assist you. Don’t reject him and don’t refuse him for no matter the reason.
So heed my advice now and do as occasions serve you.

ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY Show some respect to your spouse
The Holy Spirit works in us. Thirteen-year-old Funmi asked her mother for some money but her request wasn’t granted. When her mother went to the kitchen, Funmi quickly took money out of her mother’s purse.
She felt good knowing that she had money to spend with her friends at school. Her friends always had lots of money to spend at school and she didn’t want to be any different.
But she kept having a feeling. As much as she was happy, the feelings of happiness were slowly dwindling. What could it be, she wondered. Soon, she began to feel bad about taking the money.
A voice kept telling her it was wrong of her to have taken the money. It kept telling her she had stolen the money. But I didn’t steal the money, Funmi said to herself. It’s my mother’s money and she has lots of it.
Funmi was hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit. When you sin, the Holy Spirit convicts you of it. He speaks to your heart and tells you what you did wrong.
When the Holy Spirit speaks to you and can convict you to the point where you change your ways or confess your wrongdoings, you are stillborn in a safe zone. You still have a conscience.
Funmi didn’t spend the money at school that day or went with her friends to buy things. She felt bad about taking the money and knew what she had to do – tell her mother the truth, ask for her forgiveness, and never steal again in her life.
May the Holy Spirit give you a healthy conscience. Amen.
Prayer:
Sweet Spirit of God, thank you for the power to convict me of all sins. Please give me a heart that will listen and obey you in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Action point:
Has the Holy Spirit ever spoken to you about something wrong you did? How did you respond? Did you do what He said or not? Decide to always listen to and obey His instructions.
Declaration:
