Here Is Why You Should Know Your Spouse

Here Is Why You Should Know Your Spouse

Reading Time: 2 minutes

It is funny that after some years, we begin to despise our spouse and claim that they are no longer good or that they are the cause of our misfortune or that they have slowed us down. As this statement might be correct, it is not absolutely true.

As a couple, no one succeeds without the input of the other, no matter how little. One spouse may have the great strength and skills to go to the ‘battle’, but remember the one who stayed at home and made sure everything back at home is defended.

Once you are married, you are no longer two, but one flesh. If you feel because of the ignorance or disobedience of your partner you are experiencing some sort of delay, then you have to work together as a team. Defeat your enemy together.

You both have a common enemy, the enemy of your progress and advancement. The enemy that does not want you both to fulfill purpose and destiny.

Sometimes, you just need to accept your partner as they are on their way to becoming better. You have to love them to transformation.

We love our parents and accept them with all their weaknesses. We don’t try to change them or educate them. We just accept them and learn to deal with them with love.

We have to also deal with our spouse the same way. Just as our parents are our parents and we can’t change the fact that our parents gave us birth, so also we can’t change the fact that our spouse are our spouse. We married them and we are in a long lasting, never ending covenant.

Marriage is a covenant and should be lived as such.
The Bible tell us to submit to one another out of our reverence and respect for the Lord.

Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. – Eph 5:19

We are only able to submit to one another when we know our spouse well enough. It is easier to submit to the one we know well enough. We not only know our spouse, but we understand their person and deal with them based on our knowledge of them.

May God grant us strength, courage and understanding to work together as a team in Jesus name.

God bless our marriage.

The Five Steps To Breaking The Yokes of Delay and Stagnation

The Five Steps To Breaking The Yokes of Delay and Stagnation

Reading Time: 2 minutes

It’s possible you have been waiting for certain things to happen. You may be waiting for your business to take off, waiting for that next big raise, or waiting for a new job. It can be easy to get stuck in a rut of disappointment, and it can seem like the only way out is to wait for something better to come along. But what if there was a different way? What if you could break the yokes of delay and stagnation by making small changes in your life?

Delay is a yoke. Stagnation is a yoke. That looks like a bad news! But you know what? There is also good news! The yoke of delay and stagnation can be broken!

Let’s take a look at the scriptures.

And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck. – Gen 27:40 (KJV)

Take a look at The Message Translation.

You’ll live by your sword, hand-to-mouth, and you’ll serve your brother. But when you can’t take it any more you’ll break loose and run free. – Gen 27:40 (MSG)

What steps do you take to break off these yokes?

Step 1: Get restless. Be angry.

Get to the point when you can’t take it anymore. When you get to this point, you are getting ready to break loose from the yokes of delay and stagnation.

Recognize the problem. The first step to breaking the yokes of delay and stagnation is recognizing you have a problem. The first step to solving your problem is admitting that it exists.

Recognizing what’s holding you back from success can be a difficult process, but it’s necessary if you want to move forward.

Step 2: Identify Your Thoughts and Beliefs

One of the most important steps to breaking the yokes of delay and stagnation is identifying your thoughts and beliefs.

What are you thinking? How are you feeling? What do you think about this situation? Noticing what your thoughts and beliefs are can help you change the way you approach your situation.

Sometimes, when things don’t work out, we make it seem like it’s because of something that someone else did or didn’t do. But really, it came down to how we were thinking.

If we want to break the yokes of delay and stagnation, one thing we can start with is noticing our thoughts. Once you identify what your thoughts are, it may be easier to change them into something more empowering.

For example: “I’m a failure because I haven’t reached my goal yet” becomes “I’m doing everything I can to reach my goals.” This could be just enough to break free from the negative thought pattern that’s keeping us stuck in our rut!

To be continued…

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
No more delays. My wedding is happening soonest.

PRAYERS FOR THE DAY
I bind the spirit of delay in my life in Jesus name.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Is it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest? – Isaiah 29:17 (KJV)

How To Break The Yokes Of Delays and Stagnation

How To Break The Yokes Of Delays and Stagnation

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Today, every form of delays, stagnation, unrealized dreams, dashed hopes, they are destroyed in Jesus name!

I really don’t care if they originated from family lineage or if there is any family curse, what I know is that they are broken in Jesus name!

Now, listen to me, God will not punish you with delay that never seems to end. When you make mistakes and and bring self imposed delays, the moment you run back to God, He forgives and forgets!

There are times that God allows delays as well in order to accomplish His purpose, but listen to me, delay is not denial.

God will not bring delays in marriage till you have crossed menopause! That is not God because He cannot contradict Himself! He already said you should be fruitful.

Now, no delay is permitted to be everlasting in your life. A delay that God allows because of your disobedience or stubbornness is always for A WHILE once you repent!

A demonic delay seeks to become everlasting! There seems to be no end in sight. It brings ridicule to you and your God!

Now, I declare, the backbone of every demonic delay is broken in your life in Jesus name!

Delay in getting jobs, ten years after graduation, enduring hunger and borrowing all over the place is not God.

Delay in getting married, with every relationship ending in shambles is not God, unless you are living in habitual sins and disobedience.
You have to refuse every demonic delays with every fiber of your being!

Delay is for a while!

For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. – Hebrews 10:37

Waiting for a spouse should be a while, not all your youthful life! You have to rebel against such trend from within you. Get restless and break the yoke.

Take a look at the Message Translation:

It won’t be long now, he’s on the way; he’ll show up most any minute. – Hebrews 10:37 (MSG)

I prophesy over you as God’s servant, your desired spouse is showing up this year in Jesus name!

I forbid broken promises in your life this year! No more teary eyes and lonely nights in Jesus name!

Is it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest? – Isaiah 29:17 (KJV)

It is for a little while! Don’t allow the devil to tell you that your Lebanon will not become a fruitful field!

Go ahead and speak in tongues a while now.

The Message Translations says

And then before you know it, and without you having anything to do with it, Wasted Lebanon will be transformed into lush gardens, and Mount Carmel reforested. – Isaiah 29:17 (MSG)

This year, before you know it, and without you having to run from pillar to post, God will intervene in your situation in Jesus name!

For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; [7]  And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts. – Haggai 2:6-7 (KJV)

Yes! Your desire will come in a little while.

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. – 1 Peter 5:10 (KJV)

From today, you are not permitted to suffer unnecessarily.

The tears are dried off your face supernaturally this morning in Jesus name!

I curse every delay in your life today!

The Message Translation says

The suffering won’t last forever. It won’t be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ—eternal and glorious plans they are!—will have you put together and on your feet for good. – 1 Peter 5:10 (MSG)

That situation is not forever. Don’t accept any lie from the devil.

That delay has an expiry day, and today is the expiry day!

Let hope come alive, let faith come to your heart now.

You have suffered a while, now I prophesy unto you according to 1 Peter 5:10,

God will perfect all that concerns you from today!

God will establish you from today!

God will strengthen you from today!

God will SETTLE you from today in Jesus name!

No more delays! No more, not me!

So shall it be for you!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
No more delays. My wedding is happening soonest.

PRAYERS FOR THE DAY
I bind the spirit of delay in my life in Jesus name.

Five Things You Must Not Do As Singles – Part 2

Five Things You Must Not Do As Singles – Part 2

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Continued from yesterday…

4. Refuse to lose faith

Never lose hope!

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. – Rom 5:2

Your faith is what gives you access to His empowering and sustaining grace. Do not for any reason slide into unbelief. Stay strong in God.

Your wedding will come soon.

Do not lose faith!

That baby is coming! Do not lose faith!

Stay in the word to keep your faith strong always

Faith calls those things which be not as though they are. Faith does deny the fact but superimposes the truth upon facts. And you know what, truth is superior to fact.

Your faith will move mountains. With faith, you will please God and you can get anything done!

5. Refuse to stop giving

Finally, do not stop giving. This is important.

When you stop giving, you tamper with your harvest.

Every time God asks you to give, He has a harvest in mind.

Be faithful in tithing, first-fruit offerings, love offerings, honouring your man of God, giving to the poor, kingdom investments, and partnering with a God-given vision.

Giving is a covenant connector. Giving shows money does not have you. Giving demonstrate your heart for God

All these levels of giving have covenant purposes they fulfill in your life.

Wherever your money is not involved, your heart is not there.

There are sacrificial givings that render curses and everlasting problems irrelevant!

Your refusal to stop giving has something to do with your harvesting on a constant basis.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. – Galatians 6:9 (KJV)

May God grant you more understanding!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I receive strength to do it God’s way

PRAYERS FOR THE DAY
Pray that you will not grow weary

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. – Galatians 6:9 (KJV)

Relationship And Marriage Matters By Pastor Dunamis (13th March 2022)

Relationship And Marriage Matters By Pastor Dunamis (13th March 2022)

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Relationship And Marriage Matters was taught by Rev. Dunamis Okunowo on the 13th of March 2022 at Shouts of Grace Center, Joke Plaza, Beside Trans Amusement Park, Bodija-UI Road, Ibadan.

In his teaching, Rev. Dunamis made mention of the following important points:

Song of Solomon 6:2 (KJV) My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.

Beloved is a word that portrays love.

A garden is a place of relaxation; it is a place of beauty.
It is to this garden that the beloved comes down to. So if the person you wish to marry doesn’t have a ‘garden’ don’t marry her/him.

To the married, your responsibility is to keep/tend each other’s garden after marriage.
The first thing you should prioritize in your relationship/marriage is relationship with God.

Your priority shows where your garden is. To some people their priority is clubbing.
The person you are considering to marry, what are his priorities?

When you are dull, wine is not the way out. Joy in the Holy Ghost (getting drunk in the Holy Ghost) is the way to go.

SOS 6:2 mentions three things:

1. The Bed of Spices

The beds of spices talks of the favour of God upon your destiny.

Never get married to someone that is devoid of God’s favour! How do you know a person that is devoid of favour? The Scripture says that good understanding procures favour; therefore a person that has a good knowledge of the Word of God will have favour.

In marriage, what you need for your prayers to be answered is agreement – agreement with your spouse.

God’s plan is not divorce!

Premarital sex confuses the mind, such that you lose sight of the essentials, and therefore end up marrying wrong.

Men are moved by sight, therefore wives make sure you always give your husband a good picture to behold and remember.

You need favour in your life; back-to-back failures can be overwhelming!

There is nothing as beautiful as knowing that your spouse loves you genuinely.

Making peace is better than making points. Learn to apologize and to forgive your spouse easily.

The person you marry will often times determine your priorities.

2. To feed in the garden

Don’t marry a person who doesn’t have appetite. You are what you eat! Don’t marry someone who eats carelessly.

What is the beloved eating?

Jeremiah 15:16 (KJV) Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.

There is a problem if your spouse or the person you wish to marry is not eating God’s word.

God’s word never fails!

You are literarily what you eat! You cannot do beyond the strength and capacity you have. There are doors you cannot open because you lack the required strength to do so.

Your real strength is dependent on the Word of God in your spirit.

When the guy comes to ask you out, ask him how often he eats!

All of us have the responsibility of finding the Word of God for our lives – Jeremiah 15:16

3. To gather lilies

This talks of responsibilities/work.
