One of the things you should work really hard at doing is making your parents happy at all times. God wants you to do this, that’s why it is mentioned in the bible.
If you want to be called a wise child, you should bring joy, and smiles to your father, and make your mother happy at all times.
The Bible defines this as wisdom.
It is also stated in the bible that when you as a child honour your father, and mother your days will be long on the earth. This is the only commandment with a promise.
It’s really important that you as a child prioritize the happiness of your parents. How do you do this?
It’s by thinking of their happiness in all your decisions and making sure that you obey them. Let me show you ways in which you can make your parents happy and be a wise child.
1. Obey everything they tell you
2. Pray for them all the time
3. Read your books and do well in school
4. Do your house chores without being told to
5. Be hardworking and diligent at all you do
6. Keep your books properly so they don’t get torn or missing
7. Honour elderly people around you
8. Be nice to your friends and siblings
You have to be intentional about making your parents happy, be deliberate about it, always do things that will make them smile, and before you do anything ask yourself; will mum and Dad be happy about this thing I am about to do?
If you do this all the time, you will see that you will gradually become mindful of their happiness every day.

We live in a dissatisfied generation. Those who are short in height wished they were taller. The white is tanning their bodies trying to get dark, the blacks are bleaching trying to get white. The young are tinting their hair white, the old are dyeing their hair black.
Singles are posing with wedding ring, those married forget to wear it, those with beards are shaving off, those with none are using methylated spirit to grow some!
Today, I have a story to tell. Are you ready for it? Here we go. Once upon a time, (time – time), when I was single, I looked forward to marriage. Now that I am married, I missed the time I was single! End of story!
Singles will hardly believe that because all in their mind is to get married so that everything can change. I have been happily married for twenty two years and here are a few things I have learned that might bless you if you are still single.
1. Marriage will not make you happier.
Be happy before marriage. Marriage has no power in itself beyond the two people involved.
2. Marriage will not change you.
Change begins inwardly. Marriage is not a change agent. Marriage will not improve your attitudes, it will expose them. Marriage does not eliminate your weaknesses, it will amplify them. Start working on your attitudes and weaknesses before marriage.
3. Marriage will not cure loneliness.
There are several married people who have their spouses with them by the second, but are extremely lonely. Loneliness is more of a state of mind than availability of people around you.
The loneliest people in the world are sometimes the ones with large number of fans and crowd around them. Only God’s word can cure the root cause of loneliness. Few Things Marriage Will Not Do For You

COUPLES – How To Make Your Wife Happy And Love You Forever
Mr. John is heavily frustrated. His wife is never happy. He has exhausted all the wisdom and skills in his arsenals, yet no hope. All his romantic antics have been displayed, all to no avail. He feels so incapable. What else can I do to make this woman happy?
Pleasing a woman really is not so much about doing so many things but doing what appeals to your wife specifically. Why do you need to ensure she is happy anyway? You need each other’s agreement to have spiritual potency. You need each other’s help to forge ahead as a couple. When she is happy, the home will be great too.
You see, the moment you prefer to hang out with the ‘boys’ rather than your wife, and you deliberately go home late, you are no longer in good terms with your wife and the devil can take advantage of that to bring all kinds of attacks, especially adultery.
Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth. (Pro 5:18 KJV)
1. Listen to what she is really saying.
Don’t watch television or read newspapers while she is talking to you. For your wife, attention means a lot to her.
Women are not logical, rather, they are emotional. So her discourse with you might seem illogical, but if you want to make your wife happy and your home great, you must make time to listen to her.
This is very important! In some countries, there are people who work as ‘listeners’ and all they do is listen to women talk and they are paid on an hourly basis. This is to let you know how important it is. If you allow the driver or cook to become the listener, a love affair might erupt over time. Spend time with her a lot.

ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY Surprise your spouse today by doing one of those things you use to do that made him/her happy when you were courting.
As a Christian child you should have passion for God. You should be passionate for the things of God. You must burn with the desire to do things for Him.
The thought that it’s for God must push you more to do things that will bring glory to His name, make Him happy and be pleased with you.
How do you show your passion for God? It shows in your day-to-day activities at home, school, church and anywhere you visit or are.
If your passion for God reflects Him to other people around you, He is more than ready to bless you. You just won a spiritual jackpot!
That should be your number one goal. Wining souls for Him. And the more you do this, the more He gives you the grace to do more.
May the grace of our Lord be with you. May the passion for God and His things fill you u. Amen

A lovely day it is to once again look into our topic, building a happy and lasting marriage.
It takes a conscious effort to build anything. Jesus showed us how to build. He says we must dig deep and lay the foundation on the rock, on solid principles that are void of sentiments. Build with godly principles that will outlive the test of time.
Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. – Luk 6:47- 48
5. Be polite to each other
This is very crucial if you must build a lasting marriage where both spouses are happy. Most of the time, the husband’s ego makes it difficult to be polite to his wife. He feels why should I say sorry, thank you, or please. If he says it at all, he does so once in a while.

If the wife mentions it, he says ‘I am the husband’. In marriage, we don’t take each other for granted. Later than sooner, there will be reactions. Respect should be reciprocal.
6. Always listen attentively to your spouse.
Make it a habit to always listen when your spouse is talking. When the spouse senses that you are not listening, it gives a feeling he/she is not so important to you. You must make your spouse feel like they are the most important person in this world to you because really they are.
Stop looking at your phones, iPad, laptop or watching the news, or reading a book when your spouse is talking to you.
The best communication skill you can develop is listening. Be quiet and patient while your spouse is speaking and you can now express your opinion. Look straight into his/her eyes when he /she is talking to you. That will make them feel you are interested in what they have to say.
7. Communication
This is the key to your relationship. Talk like lovers and friends. Most couples have lost friendship and some were never friends. You need to make amends where necessary because you can’t build a lasting marriage where you are not each other’s friends.
Don’t grow apart. There should be no fear whatsoever in expressing yourself. Deal with the root of whatever is causing fear. Ask yourself; am I easy to talk with? Does my spouse find me easy to talk with? Don’t answer yourself, ask your spouse. Don’t let your spouse guess what you are thinking about.
