Wow! It’s the last day of the month, and as we approach the last quarter of the year, it’s easy to glance back and feel a sting of disappointment. Maybe some goals didn’t happen. Maybe the plans you had seemed too heavy to carry. You might even be tempted to say, “What’s the point of trying again?”
But listen; this is not the end of your story. A date on a calendar doesn’t define your destiny. God’s timing is bigger than deadlines and schedules.
To the Singles out there, don’t settle for less. Keep pushing. Keep growing. Singleness isn’t a punishment. It’s a season. And just like every season, it has a purpose. Sometimes, the temptation is to settle because of pressure from family, friends, or even your heart. But remember, settling for less than God’s best will never give you lasting peace.
The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich, and He adds no sorrow with it. (Proverbs 10:22, NLT)
When the right relationship comes, it won’t drain you. Rather, it will align with God’s blessing. So use this time to grow, explore your purpose, and strengthen your relationship with God. Don’t rush to fit into someone else’s timeline. Delay doesn’t mean denial.
Likewise, to the married, guard against monotony. Marriage is beautiful, but it can slip into routine if left unattended. Work, bills, and responsibilities can dim the spark if you let them. But love is not meant to be on autopilot; it is meant to be nurtured.
That is why the bible says;
Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice in the wife of your youth.(Proverbs 5:18, ESV)
That word rejoice means to delight, to celebrate, to enjoy. It’s a call to break monotony. Try new things together. Pray together. Laugh more. Surprise one another. The little changes breathe life into love.
Whether single or married, remember this truth: setbacks don’t mean you’ve failed. Every new day is a fresh chance to rise again.
Though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again.” (Proverbs 24:16, NIV)
That means even if this month didn’t look like what you hoped for, rise again. Tomorrow opens a brand-new chapter.
You’re not behind. You’re not forgotten. The God who carried you through this month is the same God waiting to walk with you into the next. Keep pushing, keep believing, and keep your eyes on Him.
Your best days aren’t behind you- they’re unfolding ahead.
Life isn’t a race. Each of us is on our own unique timeline, and when the time is right, the things you’ve been hoping for will unfold in the way they’re meant to. Trying to force things to happen before their season often only leads to disappointment or struggle.

So don’t let anyone make you feel like you’re falling behind because you’re not married yet or don’t have children. It’s perfectly normal to feel anxious sometimes. But after you’ve shared your heart with your Heavenly Father and he has assured you that everything will be okay, you can rest in that promise. At the right moment, what you’re praying for—whether it’s marriage, children, a new job, or your own home—will come to pass.
Think about how children grow. Each one develops differently. One baby might start crawling at six months, while another waits until nine. Does that mean something is wrong with the second child? Of course not. It’s simply their own timing.
In the same way, there’s no need to compare your life to anyone else’s. You are not late. When it’s your season, nothing and no one can stop it. No force can stand in your way.
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?Romans 8:31 (KJV)
But it’s important to be honest with yourself too: Is there anything in your life that’s holding you back? Are you walking closely with God? Have you surrendered your choices and habits to him? Sometimes, unconfessed sin or disobedience can delay the blessings he has planned. If that’s the case, don’t hesitate to turn back to him—he is always ready to forgive and help you start again.
The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.Psalm 34:10 (KJV)
You will never miss out on any good thing God intends for you. Whatever you’re believing for, trust that he is faithful to provide. Do you believe he can do it? Then hold on to his word. He will never let you down.
Whether you are single or married, life can sometimes feel solo. The reality, however, is that God never designed us to do life alone. When he made Adam, he said it is not good for man to be alone, because he knew the power in partnership. He knew the strength available when you are joined with the right person.
That is why Solomon said;
Ecclesiastes 4:9 (KJV) “Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.”
When a man and a woman are going in the same direction, they tend to move faster. However, who you are going with matters a lot. The fact that someone is available does not mean they are compatible, which is why a lot of care should be given in considering who you journey with.
According to the scripture above, it is not just about having a reward, but a good reward, which is where fulfilment comes from.
The bible says if you are joined with Christ, you are one with him. Likewise, you become one with whoever you are joined with physically. So, before you agree to walk down the aisle, are you ready to be one with him or her? Do you see you both fulfilling purpose together? Is this person helping me walk towards God’s plan for my life? If you don’t see it now, you are not likely to see it in marriage.
And if you are already married, are you both moving in the same direction? Are you building together? Is what you are doing likely to give you a good reward? If your answers are in the affirmative, ask yourself: How can I be a better partner to my spouse?

He approached King Ayomide with a prophecy, saying, “Your faith will be tested, O King, but put your trust in God, for He will always show up in your hour of need.” These words deeply resonated with King Ayomide and Queen Adefolake, who began to question whether their barrenness was a curse from the gods or a test of faith from a higher power.
A Crossroads of Belief
Traditionally, the people of Ilese consulted the oracle for guidance, believing in the power of ancestral spirits and rituals to shape their destiny. The oracle was revered as the intermediary between the people and their gods, and its decrees carried significant weight. However, the preacher’s message of God’s love and power caused the royal couple to reconsider their beliefs. In private, King Ayomide wrestled with the decision: to continue venerating the oracle or to embrace the teachings of Jesus Christ.
A Bold Decision
The pressure mounted as the palace buzzed with speculation and fear. Some advisors warned of dire consequences if the king turned his back on the oracle—a wrathful punishment that could claim his life and plunge the kingdom into chaos. Despite these warnings, King Ayomide chose to put his trust in God, embracing His faith and miracles. Ignoring the ominous warnings and the counsel of his chiefs, he declared his allegiance to Jesus Christ and committed himself and Queen Adefolake to a life of prayer and devotion.
Miraculous Events
As days turned into weeks, the tension within the palace grew palpable. Whispers of rebellion and dissent among the courtiers circulated. Yet, King Ayomide remained resolute, his resolve for faith and miracles drew from the teachings of the preacher and the unwavering support of Queen Adefolake. Then came the day of reckoning when the oracle’s priests confronted the king with solemn warnings of impending doom. But nothing happened. Instead, a profound peace settled over King Ayomide’s heart—a peace that affirmed his decision and strengthened his resolve.
Answered Prayers
True to God’s promise, in His appointed time, Queen Adefolake became pregnant, a miracle that filled the kingdom with joy. For nine months, the people of Ilese rejoiced, eagerly awaiting the birth of the heir. When the time came, Queen Adefolake delivered two healthy baby boys, Adesina and Adedayo. The entire empire celebrated this joyous occasion, praising God for His blessings.
Betrayal and Despair
However, the three former wives, consumed by envy and bitterness, plotted a sinister scheme. One moonless night, cloaked in darkness, they crept into the royal chamber and stole the sleeping infants from their cradles. The palace guards, loyal but unsuspecting, were deceived by the stealth of the wives. By the time their treachery was discovered, the three wives had disappeared into the night, leaving behind a distraught king and a devastated community.
Faith Amidst Grief
King Ayomide, in anguish, declared a bountiful reward for anyone who could find and return his beloved sons. The kingdom was thrown into mourning, but King Ayomide remembered the preacher’s words: “Put your trust in God, for He will always show up.” Rejecting the counsel of his chiefs to consult the oracle, he declared a time of fasting and prayer throughout Ilese. He called upon the entire community to join him in seeking God’s intervention, urging them to put aside their mourning garments and lift their hearts in faith.

This proclamation bewildered his chiefs and the people of Ilese. Yet, the king insisted, “Our celebration is an act of faith and miracles. We are not rejoicing in the loss but in the assurance that God is with us, even in this darkest hour.” Despite initial confusion, the people of Ilese obeyed their king, joining in fasting, prayer, and songs of faith and miracles.

As the days of jubilation unfolded, a miraculous change began to sweep through the kingdom. The air seemed lighter, and the people’s hearts were lifted by their collective act of faith. Even the most skeptical of the chiefs could not deny the palpable presence of hope and divine assurance that settled over Ilese. Meanwhile, the three wives, fearing the consequences foretold by the oracle, returned the royal twins to the palace.
Restoration and Gratitude
The return of Adesina and Adedayo brought immense relief and joy to the kingdom. King Ayomide, filled with gratitude and awe at God’s faithfulness, ordered the traitorous wives to be cast into the deepest dungeons as punishment for their betrayal. In recognition of God’s mercy, King Ayomide declared that henceforth, the people of Ilese must serve God all their days. The city erupted in jubilation, celebrating the safe return of the twins and the reaffirmation of their faith under God’s divine protection
