Knowing The Unchangeable God

Knowing The Unchangeable God

Reading Time: < 1 minute

People will often disappoint you in this world. There are things you expect them to do or not do that they will not do or do. You can’t expect people to always be the same. They are human like you and have to deal with so many things. But one person will never disappoint you. He is Jesus, the son of God. He is the unchangeable God. In the book of Hebrews, we see how Jesus remains the same forever.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.”Hebrews 13:8

This verse is saying that before you were born, Jesus was loving and kind (yesterday), and He is still the same kind and loving person He was today, and that He will still remain loving and kind tomorrow and forever.

So, you can see how Jesus has remained the same all through generations. He was kind and loving to your great-grandparents, grandparents, and parents. He will be and is kind and loving towards you as He will be to your children.

Jesus will never change towards you. No matter the sin you commit as long as you ask for forgiveness and stop the sin.

Write this in your top thirty verses to know. Let this be a weapon to use when the enemy tries to tell you that Jesus will fail you. Tell him that your Jesus will never fail you.

May the Lord’s love continually surround you all the days of your life. Amen

Prayer:
Lord, Jesus, thank you for displaying your trustworthiness all through generations. I rest in Your reliability. Thank You.

Action Point:
Are you gradually losing focus? Retrace your steps right away.

Declaration:
I am consistent and focused.

How To Have A Positive Mindset

How To Have A Positive Mindset

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Do you have a positive mindset? What do you say to yourself? The words you speak to or about yourself are very strong and important.

Do you say negative things about yourself? Do you bring yourself down in front of others?

The use of negative words like ” I am just not good with counting”, “I don’t have good legs”, ” My face is too ugly”, is a sign of negative self-esteem.

The bible says we are wonderfully and fearfully made in God’s image. That means you are made in God’s image. Made in the image of the Creator of the whole earth.

Why would you think you are ugly? Who told you so? Magazines? Slay queens? Public opinion? The mirror? Who? You?

Rather than look at all these external forces telling you what you are not, look towards the One who created you and start to see how He sees you.

Start using excellent and beautiful words on yourself. Raise your esteem with the word of God and walk in the light of those words.

God bless you. Amen

Prayer:
Lord, I thank You for how You made me. I am Your best creation. Your masterpiece.

Action plan:
Consciously use positive words on yourself daily. Affirm who you are in God and walk in that light.

Declaration:
My children speak well about themselves.

The Secret Of Great Men

The Secret Of Great Men

Reading Time: 2 minutes

What is the secret of great men? Fifteen-year-old Sola couldn’t believe his ears when the teacher announced the date for the test. Just two days away and he hadn’t studied at all. This was unfair. Why would the teacher do so? There was no way he could study for and pass the test in just two days.

He swung into action and began to read and study his lessons. Something gnawed inside him. A voice kept telling him to pray. Pray?

Situations can be unfair to you sometimes. They could be sudden like it was for Sola or not. It’s what you do immediately that counts a lot.

Cry and host a pity party? Look for others like you and host a mega pity party? Or do you immediately swing into action and start preparing for that test or looking for ways to handle the situation?

Yes, it’s good to swing into action instantly and start resolving that issue. Yet, just like Sola felt that gnawing feeling inside of him to pray, you should also listen to the voice telling you to pray. Praying doesn’t mean you won’t do anything. Neither is it magic.

Making prayer your first action when faced with a sudden or not difficult situation, is a very healthy thing to do as a Christian. It means you are asking for God’s help concerning that situation. God won’t come down to help you do it, rather, He will show you how to go about it effectively. He will help you save time, effort, and resources.

Jer. 33:3 (AMP) ‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and tell you [and even show you] great and mighty things, [things which have been confined and hidden], which you do not know and understand and cannot distinguish.’

Think of it as you wanting to take something from the top of a fridge but your hands can’t reach up to it. What do you do? You either get something to stand on so you can reach up or call someone taller than you to get it for you.

Praying to God is that something you stand on or that person you call. He helps you reach the height so you can take what you want – deal with that situation.

Stay strong in the Lord.

Prayer:
Lord, help me to always call on you in times of trouble rather than worry my little head off in Jesus name. Amen

Action point:
When next you want to cry “unfair” about something, why not pray to God first?

Declaration:
I engage the force of prayer at all times.

Learn To Give Hope With Your Words

Learn To Give Hope With Your Words

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Words are strong tools that have an enormous strength to give hope to others. They can uplift somebody out of a bad situation.

A classmate could be going through hard times at home and your words can give him hope. All the person might need could just be a “Your handwriting is cool”, “I like your shoes”, or “You are pretty”.

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life.Prov 13:12 (NLT)

What you say is not as important as how you say it. How you say what you say is very important.

Your words mean a lot to the person beside you.

You don’t know how far your words can go in giving hope to someone who feels like nobody cares or sees him.

Be a beacon of hope today. Use your words to raise up someone’s spirit. Give them hope that God loves them no matter what. Make your words count.

God keep you always. Amen.

Prayer:
Lord, use me as a beacon of hope to others. Teach me how to use my words well, in Jesus name. Amen

Action point:
Ask the Holy Spirit to help you locate people that need to hear of God’s goodness and love for them.

Declaration:
My words bring life to the dead and hope to the hopeless.

How To Manage Angry Situations

How To Manage Angry Situations

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Angry situations occur in life. We feel angry when people do or say things about us that we don’t like. Anger is an emotion that can lead us to say harsh words to others.

Your sibling wears your shirt without your permission and stains it. It’s probably happened a couple of times and you have warned him. Yet, he failed to listen but this time you plan to give him a piece of your mind.

Harsh words fly out of your mouth and land on your brother. Soon the poor boy has tears in his eyes or he suddenly loses self-esteem and locks himself up in his room for the whole day. You must therefore learn how to manage angry situations.

Your brother is not right in taking your shirt without your permission. You are not right also with your choice of words.

Instead of your words helping the situation, they have only caused more harm.
Choose your words carefully. Don’t speak out of anger. Even when someone hurts you, don’t hurt them back.

May God give you the grace for calming words.

Prayer:
Lord, teach me not to speak out of anger to people around me. Amen

Action point:
Watch your words when you’re angry.

Declaration:
My words impact and heal.
