She woke up with a start. Impulsively and almost uncontrollably, she bellowed “the blood of Jesus!” His face scared her a little. She had forgotten she got married a day before!
I want a handsome man! He has to be fine!
I want a TDH – Tall, Dark, and Handsome!
Yes, all these are okay, handsome men are cool.
Besides, who wants to marry a man that makes you scream “the blood of Jesus” when you wake up in the morning as you behold his face?
You want to wake up in the morning, take a look at his face, and be filled with the Holy Ghost afresh, burst out in singing in tongues! Isn’t that more wonderful?
However, handsomeness is not only about the face, but also about the heart!

What is the point of a handsome face sitting upon a wicked heart? And yet, this has been the lot of not a few.
There are handsome men that are wicked. There are handsome men that are cheats. There are handsome men that are evil. There are handsome men that are rapists. There are handsome men that are adulterers.
But there are handsome men that are good men and faithful men. That is what you should pray for, that is what you should trust God for, that is what you should aspire for, and that is what you should settle for.
The face is the pulchritude, the heart is the hidden man. Find out about the hidden man before you fall in love with the face.
His behaviors will not come from his handsome face, they would take source from the heart.
Beware of the heart that despises God. Never fall in love with such hearts. Beware of the heart that mocks God. Beware of the heart that belittles your God. Beware of the heart that disregards your God

PRAYER FOR THE DAY Lord, lead me to the right person for me. Let me not be deceived with handsomeness.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Isaiah 30:21 [KJV] And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
That word means “romantic.” Spirituality should never in any way disturb being a romantic lover, single or married.
The synonyms of “romantic” include loving, amorous, passionate, tender, affectionate, lovey-dovey. Speaking in tongues should not disturb speaking sweet things to your lover.
One is to God, the other is to your lover. After you have done the one for God, do the one for your lover as well.
Let your relationship or marriage be characterized with an expression of love. Be passionate towards him or her.
Before wedding, “passionate’ does not include kissing, smooching, and sex. It includes calling regularly, doting on each other, praying for one another, sending loving (not vulgar or perverse) texts to each other (not sexting), buying each other flowers, chocolates, special gifts, and doing memorable things together.
Being romantic is not being full of lust.
In the Old Testament, honeymoons last as long as one year!
Deu 24:5 (KJV) When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.
God wants you to enjoy each other!

In the New Testament, God wants you to have honeymoon for life! Enjoy every day of your married life! Sadly enough, by first week of most marriages, it is only the moon they can find, no honey! That will not be your portion in Jesus name!
The Bible clearly advocates that married couples enjoy themselves sexually and otherwise.
Pro 5:18-19 (KJV) Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth. [19] Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.
There is nothing wrong about fantasizing about your spouse! It is godly. Take a look at the Message Translation:
Pro 5:18-19 (MSG) Bless your fresh-flowing fountain! Enjoy the wife you married as a young man! [19] Lovely as an angel, beautiful as a rose— don’t ever quit taking delight in her body. Never take her love for granted!
Everybody reading this, including myself would have done some foolish things in time past, so nobody is really exempt and this is not to condemn or indict anybody.
Every man has his share of mistakes, but the wisdom in past foolishness is learning from them and adjusting accordingly. So the pertinent question this morning is, “Am I doing something foolish presently unknowingly? Have I been entangled in the web of foolishness without knowing?”
It is important to take an inventory of yourself because the foolishness of the foolish does not allow him to identify his foolishness, he sometimes thinks, the wise are the foolish ones!
Sometimes, you need the help of another to be able to see your foolishness because foolishness blinds.
In Matt. 23:17, 19, Luk.11:40 and Luk. 24:25, Jesus actually referred to some people as fools.
So, who is a foolish man? Who will God call a foolish man or woman? Let’s learn a few things from Solomon, a once wisest man on the planet. We cannot exhaust all but here are a few.
1. A foolish lover despises wisdom and instruction
The reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is the beginning and the principal and choice part of knowledge [its starting point and its essence]; but fools despise skillful and godly Wisdom, instruction, and discipline.
Pro 1:7 AMP
A wise man knows that the starting point of life is to be a God worshipper and a lover of God. He is apt to want to learn the things of God. A foolish man on the other hand will not appreciate or value wisdom.

2. A foolish person makes fun of God and dislikes knowledge
“How long will you childish people love your childish ways? How long will you rude people enjoy making fun of God and others? How long will you foolish people hate knowledge?
Pro 1:22 NIrV
A foolish man laughs at the things and ways of God. He practically hates knowledge. He never reads any books. He or she prefers to spend time jesting, watching films lazily, and such things rather than seeking to improve himself.

Somebody said the most complex being that God created is a woman. I am not sure whether to agree to that. I leave you to conclude and be the judge. Perhaps, people will have different opinions based on their experiences.
I believe every lady has a key. And you don’t need to search for the keys of every woman. You only need one key, the one for your spouse! That’s all.
Once you have that key, you are good. Now, this key is not meant to be used to manipulate her emotions, where you become the master puppeteer with all the strings.
What we are talking about is having your fiancee’s password, learning it, using it to please her, and seeking to understand the great help that God is bringing into your life.
Our culture or environment might be saying you are doing a woman a favour when you marry her, but it is the other way round.

When you find a woman, you find good and you bring favour into your life. Good things will begin to aggregate in your life!
That is why I normally pray for people, “You will not Shi-Marry! Bad English, good prayer! Because when you get married to the right woman, good things will happen to you. Conversely, if you get married to the wrong woman, it is like inviting a nemesis into one’s life!
May your path not cross with a strange woman who flatters with her mouth and whose path leads to hell. That is exactly what the scripture says!
It will do you well to understand the lady in your life, whether you are single or married.
Here are two things every lady wants her man to do daily.
1. Pray for or with her daily
That is very important. Thank God for your six-packs, but without some spiritual perks, you are finished.
Thank God for your phonetics, but if you don’t know how to speak in tongues, you are not ready to face the battles that come with raising a family and overcoming them.
Thank God for your bank account, but if you are spiritually bankrupt and you don’t know how to lead your family as a priest, trouble looms ahead.
2. Tell her “I love you” regularly, and mean it!
How can this be on the list? Well, that is very important to every lady. Women go through a variety of complex emotions that are often accompanied by self esteem issues, they just needed to be affirmed over and over again especially by the one they love!
Don’t allow people outside to help you complement your loved one outside lest she becomes distracted. How long do I have to do that daily? Well, maybe as often as you can. Do it as often as you have the opportunity.
Your fiancee lives on words. That is why average, women talk more than men. An average man speaks ten thousand words daily while an average woman is doing twenty-five thousand! Isn’t that huge?
She loves to be tickled with words. She might be acting like she is not enjoying it, but in reality she is. She is putting up that attitude because she wants more.
So when you tell your lady “I love you,” She goes like, hmmm…as if she is doubting you. In reality, within her, she doesn’t want you to stop and she wants you to repeat it again.
Let me pray for you this morning: I come against that wrong spirit in your relationship, I curse the spirit behind misunderstanding, quarrels, bitterness and acrimony. I destroy their powers in the name of Jesus. I release over you the balm of Gilead and I ask for healing over every hurt and wounds in the name of Jesus.
By the strength of my call, I ask that the love of God be shed abroad in your heart right now, I command every veil to be removed and I speak healing over your relationship/marriage in Jesus name! I declare you are free from that attack in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY Lord, help me to end all issues leading to constant strife
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY “The same goes for you husbands: Be good husbands to your wives. Honor them, delight in them. As women they lack some of your advantages. But in the new life of God’s grace, you’re equals. Treat your wives, then, as equals so your prayers don’t run aground.” (1Pe 3:7, MSG)

When you are in love with one that beats you and then sleeps with you and you are not yet married, you don’t need to pray. You just need to pack your things and leave that guy or lady alone! A lady can also abuse a guy in some extreme cases, not really beating with her hands, but with her money!
You don’t even need counseling, you just need common sense!
But Pastor, it is not easy! Okay, so it is easy to be beaten daily? And then be seen as a sex toy to satisfy the lust and the cravings of a depraved person who will not eventually marry you?

“Oh Pastor, he is actually a nice person! It’s just that he has anger issues” Really? So who says you are the recipient of the anger tantrums whose cause you know nothing about? All in the name of love? Nah! It is not so from the beginning! God never meant for any of us to find ourselves in some abusive, manipulative, and basest of all lust! That is not love!
Why subject yourself to such harrowing experiences? Common, free yourself as a bird and flee away! That is why God gave you legs! Run! Run run! There is fire on the mountain and that fire burns!
Go and wait for God’s plan for your life rather than trying to create a plan for yourself!
Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.
Psa 124:7 (KJV)
You can only pray in this scenario if you are already married because God’s first option is not always to divorce! And if the abuse continues unrepentantly to the point your life is threatened, then you have a decision to make.
I pray for you this morning and every area of your life where you need to make a decision in other to please God, God will strengthen you in Jesus name.
