Five Things Every Godly Wife Must Avoid

Five Things Every Godly Wife Must Avoid

Reading Time: 2 minutes

There are certain things that are just not advisable to do if you want to enjoy your marriage. No matter how good it is or seems to be, the laws of marriage are always against them. Whenever as a wife, you engage in such, you are playing foul and a red card will always follow. There are some things every husband detests, no matter how good he is or loving he is.

The male-female differences will just not make him understand. I want to share with us five of those things every wife must avoid.

1. Disrespecting your husband whether publicly or privately.

Respect is a big deal to men. In fact, the number one need of a man is respect.  So every wife wants to stay clear of anything that looks like not respecting her husband. Watch out for every form of disrespecting your husband. Abusing, talking down on him, disobeying his instructions, ignoring him to attend to others, etc, you must avoid every form of disrespect in words, actions, or attitudes.

2. That silent treatment must stop.

This is when the wife decides to keep to herself either by reason of being hurt or angry with the husband. The wife shows her displeasure by not talking to her husband or giving mono-syllabic answers.  This will usually breed strife.

I once asked my husband how he sees silent treatment. Of cause, he said it makes him angry, confused and wants to retaliate. Wives should learn to desist from such acts.

We will continue from here tomorrow.

God bless your marriage.

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I will respect my husband publicly and privately.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Ask for the grace to be a good man/woman to your spouse

What To Do When You Don’t Know What to Do

What To Do When You Don’t Know What to Do

Reading Time: 2 minutes

In life and in our various situations and circumstances, there are times when our calculations fail us. We planned for certain things to work in certain ways but they end up not turning out the way we planned.

Every one of us hoped that our marriage will be ‘happily ever after’.  Every bride had such beautiful dreams as they walked down the aisle. After the wedding, our eyes are opened to a rude shock.

Most of the time, we never bargained for the speed breakers, the potholes, turnings, speed limits, traffic lights, and bends in marriage. Life just happens and we learn to cope with whatever comes our way.

Being a believer is so good because we know that the promises of God are yea-and yea Amen.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. – Rom 8:28

Even if our plans do change and things go in the opposite direction, Jesus is still Lord.

As couples, we must learn the unforced rhythms of Grace

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. – Mat 11:28

From this scripture, I will show us what to do.

1. Find time to worship Him

2. Spend more time in His presence studying.

3. Speak out the promises of God

4. Ask God for His peace

5. Patiently wait for wisdom that will guarantee your way out.

Always do these, any time anything overwhelms you.

God bless your marriage.

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I know what to do.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Ask God for his peace

Spending Your Time Wisely As Couples

Spending Your Time Wisely As Couples

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Time is everything. It can be spent or invested. Everyone has the same twenty-four hours a day

The Bible teaches us that there is a time for everything, that is, the right time to do certain things. Eccl 3:1-11

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:  – Eccl 3:1 [ESV]

If there is a right time for things to be done, that means there is also a wrong time and a not too right time.

Knowing the right time to do things requires wisdom. We all need wisdom in our lives; wisdom as married couples, wisdom as a husband, wife, father, or mother, wisdom in all our endeavors.

The Bible teaches us to redeem the time. Make your time count this year. Use time wisely.

Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. – Col 4:5

Redeeming the time, because the days are evil – Eph 5:16

Champions are known for their daily routines. Ask yourself, what is my routine like? What time do you wake up? What is your day like? Do you do needless things? Do you interject your day with movies, chatting away, viewing Instagram posts, and the likes?

Did you miss out on yesterday’s devotional, we’ve got you covered kindly go HERE. For KHC video Devotionals kindly go HERE

All these things could be beneficial if you channel them to the right course. Are they making you financially free, are they an investment into the future?

You have to check your daily routine. Is God a vital part of it? Do you spend time worshipping God? Do you listen to hear from him?

You cannot spend all your time watching movies and expect to hear from Him. Yet your success in life hinges on it.

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. – Psa 32:8

God wants to instruct us, but are you spending time with Him? He wants to teach you the way to go, are you spending time in His classroom.

Plan your time wisely. Whatever you use your time for, the harvest of it is coming

As a husband or wife, invest in your marriage, family, and children. When the harvest comes, you will not regret it.

God bless your marriage

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I will spend my time wisely.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Pray against every time waster sent your way this year

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Ecclesiastes 3:1[KJV] To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY
Use your time wisely

Practical Ways To Experiencing Peace In Marriage

Practical Ways To Experiencing Peace In Marriage

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Experiencing peace in marriage is priceless. You don’t want to know what some other couples experience when they have no peace.

Peace is our birthright as believers in Christ. It is part of the things Jesus bequeathed us with. The peace He gave us is all-round peace. Not some peace in the workplace and crisis at home with the children and lack of peace in your health. No, He died to give us all-round peace.

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. – Isa 53:5

Jesus actually paid the price for us to experience peace. If you are not experiencing peace in any area of your life, the devil is cheating you out of what belongs to you.

Jesus already paid the price for your peace. He was chastised for you to experience peace. You are not just to hear about peace but experience it in your life and marriage.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. – Joh 14:27

Did you miss out on yesterday’s devotional, we’ve got you covered kindly go HERE. For KHC video Devotionals kindly go HERE

We can claim the peace of Jesus. You can experience peace with your in-laws, peace with your money, peace in your neighborhood, all-round peace.

Let no man trouble me for I bear in my bodies the marks of the Lord Jesus Christ, Paul said.

Here are five ways to experience peace

1.  Know what Jesus has done for you by His shed blood on the cross.

2.  Learn of these truths and begin to appropriate them. You can’t afford to be lazy about it. You have to search scriptures diligently.

3. Begin to confess that which you discovered from scriptures

4. Begin to take practical steps to enjoy peace in every area of your life.

5. Be a person of peace. Avoid being quarrelsome. Stop being overly aggressive, hot-tempered. Avoid jumping to conclusions on matters.

God help us to experience all-round peace this year in Jesus name

God bless our marriage

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I experience all round peace in my marriage.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Pray against everything that wants to steal your peace

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. – Joh 14:27

How To walk Yourselves Into Glory As Couples

How To walk Yourselves Into Glory As Couples

Reading Time: 2 minutes

We are in a very significant year as I have heard so many people say a lot of things about this season. This year, we have to prepare to walk into greatness. There is no accidental success and no growth is a coincidence.

We have to prepare our ways if we must see any significant positive changes in our lives and families. Twelve months is a lot of time. You could start this year having nothing and in twelve months, have kids, have a business of your own, move into your own house, and be doing something significant in the nation.

All these come as a result of the blessing (if it must be true prosperity). The blessing however has to be activated. We activate the blessing by walking in certain principles of the kingdom.

As couples, you have to make up your minds and do so early enough. You cannot continue to do things you used to do and expect a different result. There must be significant changes in your approach and attitudes.

Did you miss out on yesterday’s devotional, we’ve got you covered kindly go HERE. For KHC video Devotionals kindly go HERE

No more compromises!
No to living life haphazardly!
No to prayerlessness!
No to the works of the flesh, works of unrighteousness!
No to not paying of tithes!
No to lack of intimacy with God!

You decide to say yes to a life that honors God!
Yes to living to please God!
Yes to seeking to know God!
Yes to hearing the voice of God!
Yes to a life of Obedience!

If you do all these, you will be preparing your way into significance.

Remember, God has a purpose for you and your marriage. Carry your spouse along and you will see yourself walk into Glory.

May God grant us grace in Jesus name.

God bless our marriages.

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
No more compromise. No, not me.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Help me Lord to be faithful to my marriage covenant

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Prov 6:2 [NKJV] You are snared by the words of your mouth; You are taken by the words of your mouth.

Take your spouse out
