The Blessed Man was taught by Rev. Dunamis Okunowo on the 16th of March 2022 at Shouts of Grace Center, Joke Plaza, Beside Trans Amusement Park, Bodija-UI Road, Ibadan.
In his teaching, Rev. Dunamis made mention of the following important points:
Psalm 1:1-3 (NKJV)
Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.
The word blessed is extremely important. The blessing is tangible – it can be handled.
The proof of a blessed man is in his fruits, and the proof of a cursed man is also in his fruits.
The blessed man is favoured.
When a blessed man believes he’s cursed, he reduces the influence of the blessing upon his life.
How will you know what you believe?
It’s in your words.
Your words are a reflection of your thoughts.
Matthew 12:34 (NKJV)
Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
Whatever is in your heart will come out through your mouth.
Your mouth follows your heart.
You must be careful of the things that go through your eyes and ears, because they determine the content of your heart.
Words show a man’s heart.
If you words are good, the devil can’t cut you down – your destiny, your life, etc.
Matthew 3:10 (NKJV)
And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
Your words can bring life to you or cause an opening (breach) in the spirit.
Proverbs 15:4 (KJV)
A wholesome tongue [is] a tree of life: but perverseness therein [is] a breach in the spirit.
