The Sin Of Gossip was taught by Rev. Dunamis Okunowo on the 3rd of October 2021 during the 1st Service at Shouts of Grace Center, Joke Plaza, Beside Trans Amusement Park, Bodija-UI Road, Ibadan.
In his teaching, Rev. Dunamis made mention of the following important points:
Gossip describes a person who habitually reveals personal or sensational facts, rumors, or reports of an intimate nature that are none of his business.
Gossip is listed as a sin, and the Bible warns against it.
And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
1Th 4:11 (KJV)
Where Does Gossip From?
It comes straight from hell
A careless or wrongly placed word out of your mouth can do that. By our speech we can ruin the world, turn harmony to chaos, throw mud on a reputation, send the whole world up in smoke and go up in smoke with it, smoke right from the pit of hell.
Jas 3:6 (MSG)
2. From the evil of our hearts
People are known in this same way. Out of the virtue stored in their hearts, good and upright people will produce good fruit. But out of the evil hidden in their hearts, evil ones will produce what is evil. For the overflow of what has been stored in your heart will be seen by your fruit and will be heard in your words.
Luk 6:45 (TPT)
3. From Idleness
And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
1Ti 5:13 (KJV)
4. A result of hatred and envy
[Destructive and deceitful lies are told about me, [3] and hateful things are said for no reason.
Psa 109:2-3 (CEV)
Why Gossip Is Dangerous
It is a wound
The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.
Pro 18:8 (KJV)
2. You will be judged.
Your very words will be used as evidence against you, and your words will declare you either innocent or guilty.”
Mat 12:37 (TPT)
3. It is destructive and can cause its victim to be suicidal
but the tongue is not able to be tamed. It’s a fickle, unrestrained evil that spews out words full of toxic poison!
Jas 3:8 (TPT)
4. Gossip is the language of those who have rejected Christ (Rom 1:28-30; TPT)
5. Gossip destroys precious relationships and scatters churches
Troublemakers start fights; gossips break up friendships.
Pro 16:28 (MSG)
How To Deal With A Gossip
Walk away
Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth.
Pro 26:20 (KJV)
2. Shut them down nicely
Gossips can’t keep secrets, so never confide in blabbermouths.
Pro 20:19 (MSG)
3. Make a Decision
4. Overlook an Offence
He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends.
Pro 17:9 (KJV)
5. Confront Gossipers
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
Eph 4:15 (KJV)

Waiting On God was taught by Rev. Dunamis Okunowo on the 29th of September 2021 at Shouts of Grace Center, Joke Plaza, Beside Trans Amusement Park, Bodija-UI Road, Ibadan.
In his teaching, Rev. Dunamis made mention of the following important points:
One of the things you must seek to have during your time of waiting on God is the voice of God. As you wait upon the LORD, you must seek to receive His Word/instruction; for that becomes your compass for the next phase of your life.
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
John 16:13 (KJV)
From this Scripture we see three (3) things:
The guidance of the Holy Spirit
The voice of the Holy Spirit
The revelation of things to come
On Guidance
There are two purposes of the Holy Spirit when it comes to guidance:
To reveal to you the things in the Bible (the general guidance)
To reveal to you the things outside the Word of God (the specific guidance)
One of the places you don’t want to get to in life is the place where you can’t hear the voice of the Holy Spirit
The Specific Guidance of the Holy Spirit can come in four ways:
Through the revelation of the Holy Spirit (in your heart)
Through dreams
Through visions
Through angels
There are three ways the Holy Spirit can speak to you:
Inward Peace You don’t hear anything on the outside, but you just know this is what you have to do
Inward Witness There is a stronger witness, than inward peace, that this is what you are meant to do.
Inward Voice You hear an actual voice on your inside.
The design of God to keep you out of trouble is the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
When you learn to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, it will help you in giving.
Any time you don’t hear the Holy Spirit, you put yourself in a place where the devil can negotiate your harvest out of your hands.
There are two ways to become sensitive to the Holy Spirit
Fasting
Prayer
Fasting without prayer is hunger strike. Fasting will put down the outward man while prayer will build up the inner man.
Fasting is not just going without food. It is not just taking something out of your life, but putting something in your life (praise, the Word, etc.) Waiting On God helps you to be able to hear God. It helps you tune in to the frequency of heaven/God.
Things will remain as they are if you don’t gain spiritual strength. And you gain this strength through fasting and prayer.
Some Seasons You Need To Fast
When fear is reoccurring about the same issue
When your conscience is seared. (A seared conscience cannot hear the Holy Ghost. Continual disobedience will lead to a seared conscience)
When you observe a negative behavioural pattern in your life
When you are about to take a major decision. Every man must learn to hear God for his family
When you are sensing a great change
When you are sensing a new level
When you are at the point of transition
When your anointing is waning
When you are expecting a revival
Some Results Of Fasting
You will hear God more
You become more sensitive
You will heighten angelic intervention
You get enlargement
You get deliverance

Life And Decisions was taught by Rev. Dunamis Okunowo on the 26th of September 2021 at Shouts of Grace Center, Joke Plaza, Beside Trans Amusement Park, Bodija-UI Road, Ibadan.
In his teaching, Rev. Dunamis made mention of the following important points:
Your decisions will always outlive you. The decisions you are making today is not just about you, but about the generations in your loins.
Life is about decisions. As insignificant as the decisions you make today may look, they will still affect your children and even your children’s children. Therefore, you cannot afford to be making wrong decisions.
Even though you may take some decisions in ignorance, yet you won’t escape the consequences of those decisions, except by the mercies of God. Samson took a wrong decision and he paid for it.
But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house.
Judges 16:21 (KJV)
Men can be doors and men can be walls; it is left for you to decide which one you want to be.
Decisions can take you up, and decisions can bring you down. It’s your choice to make. The more you keep taking wrong decisions the farther you go from God.
If you submit yourself under a wrong person, you can die with him/her.
Where you are right now is a screenshot of the decisions you’ve made.
God respects your decisions, therefore you can’t afford to make a wrong one.
Most of the problems we face are self-inflicted, because of decisions taken. Your children are a representative of your decisions.
The expression of the gift of God through you is not a validation for a wrong lifestyle.

What It Means To Please God was taught by Rev. Dunamis Okunowo on the 12th of September 2021 at Shouts of Grace Center, Joke Plaza, Beside Trans Amusement Park, Bodija-UI Road, Ibadan.
In his teaching, Rev. Dunamis made mention of the following important points:
Anchor Scripture: 1 Corinthians 10:1-12
Everything repeats; there’s really nothing new under the sun. You must therefore seek to learn from the experiences of other people.
You can overcome whatever comes your way. There is no custom-made problem or affliction.
When you isolate yourself, you stay in desolation.
Anything that is a departure from what God asked you to do is evil.
Everybody is an influence, directly or indirectly, in their environment, family, church, office, etc. You are influencing people on a regular basis – people are admiring you; you desire to be like you. So you must live a life that is well pleasing to God.
Whatever you prioritize over God is your idol. Therefore anything can become your idol; it can be music, relationship, your spouse, job, ministry, food, sex, phone, etc.
You are not meant to love anything above the LORD, even your spouse.
Beware of the following, for God is displeased with them:
Lusting after evil
Idolatry
Tempting Christ: Living in habitual sin and still operating in the anointing. You preach against the very things you do.
Fornication
Murmuring
Discontentment
Murmuring can lead to death. You can be so involved in activities – looking so spiritual, singing, instrumentation, preaching, cleaning the church, ushering, etc. – and God may not be pleased with you. Is God please with you?

Learning To Pray was taught by Rev. Dunamis Okunowo on the 8th of September 2021 during the Midweek service at Shouts of Grace Center, Joke Plaza, Beside Trans Amusement Park, Bodija-UI Road, Ibadan.
In his teaching, learning to pray, Rev. Dunamis made mention of the following important points:
People who are deliberate and detailed get their goals realized. Your prayer life has to be deliberate and intentional. God wants us to speak to Him intelligently, not complaining and weeping sentiments.
You must be very careful so that your utterances do not contradict your prayers.
In prayer, remind God that IT IS WRITTEN.
Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.
Isaiah 43:26 (KJV)
Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong [reasons], saith the King of Jacob.
Isaiah 41:21 (KJV)
Go to the place of prayer in the integrity of God’s word, not in your labour. God is bound by His word.
‘Plead your case that you may be justified’ – that’s exactly what the Bible says. Therefore hold God by His word.
Before you go to God in prayer with Scriptures, first sit down and eat those Scriptures. Meditate on it.
It is the word you eat that becomes your testimony.
Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.
Jeremiah 15:16 (KJV)
The more you meditate on God’s word, the lesser the problems.
Nothing gets done until you go on the platform of God’s word.
Where is the Scripture that makes you different from the ordinary people? You need Scriptures for every aspect of your life.
Your motive also matters in prayer. Don’t ask to consume it upon your lusts or to ‘pepper’ your enemies. When you ask, do so with a Kingdom mindset. You must learn to honour God when you come to the place of prayer. Come before God with due respect – avoid calls, gisting with others, etc. Even before our human superiors, we are disciplined (imagine talking with the president of the country, and then picking your phone to answer a call!), not to talk of God. You can’t be playing and praying at the same time. Prayer time is serious business; it is a consecrated time.
