An interesting topic is before us today: I receive strength. Another wonderful bible verse you should learn is from the book of Philippians.
In chapter four and verse thirteen, you know what you can do as a follower of Christ.
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Phil. 4:13 KJV)
Imagine the possibilities you have access to do with this verse. The writer is showing you that you can do all you desire to as long as you have Jesus.
Your strength doesn’t come from you, your possessions, friends, families, or education. It comes from Jesus.
He gives you the strength to move on and accomplish everything you need to accomplish.
If there is a huge task or challenge in front of you, remember this verse. Say and believe it. Jesus will show you how to carry it out with ease.
It doesn’t mean that you won’t do your part. You pray and act according to the leading of Jesus.
Self-deception has led people into prostitution, and drug culture, it has locked up a lot of believers and men of God in the pit of sexual perversion where masturbation, pornography, adultery, homosexuality, and the likes are commonplace.
Self-deception spirits are dangerous because, they tell the oppressed to internalize their challenges: it tells them if God disapproves of their lifestyle, he would have killed them.
What they don’t know really is that they are actually dead! It stops them from seeking help since they never own up. Such people can lie! Since you can hardly get help until you own up to something is wrong, one is kept in the pit of darkness because he will never own up.
It is a plan of hell to destroy many. As I write this morning, the Spirit of God will prick your heart if need be, the light of God will shine in your heart, the word of God like a two-edged sword will separate the wheat from the chaff for you and help you to see if there are any areas where you need to make changes.
It doesn’t matter whether you are an apostle or unbeliever, what matters this morning is to confront yourself.
Jesus is the foundation and the Bible warns in 1Corintians 3:11-15 (MSG)
Remember, there is only one foundation, the one already laid: Jesus Christ. Take particular care in picking out your building materials. Eventually there is going to be an inspection. If you use cheap or inferior materials, you’ll be found out. The inspection will be thorough and rigorous. You won’t get by with a thing. If your work passes inspection, fine; if it doesn’t, your part of the building will be torn out and started over. But you won’t be torn out; you’ll survive–but just barely. -1Corintians 3:11-15 (MSG)
That’s why Jesus said; judge yourself that you will not be judged! How long do you think the deception will last? You cannot build God’s kingdom on the foundation of deception and lies.
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I declare my freedom today from all oppression; I receive God’s help and mercy over my life; I severe myself from all ungodly relationships in Jesus name.
PRAYERS FOR THE DAY I receive God’s help to be free in Jesus name. Lord, send help to me now in Jesus name
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY So if the Son liberates you [makes you free men], then you are really and unquestionably free. – John 8:36 (AMP)
ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY Become accountable today to someone your respect and value a lot.
This morning, I want to write about four principles that should never be flouted by any lady, flouting these principles is a sure way a woman can destroy her family.
1. Never Compare Your Home Or Family With Another.
A lot of women are caught up in comparison traps, spending the money they don’t have to buy things they don’t need in order to impress people that are not even taking note!
You need to understand that some people use 90% of their income to pose and show forth, so it is foolhardy to compare yourself with them.
For we dare not make ourselves of the number or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. -2Corintians 10:12 (KJV)
See how another translation puts it;
We’re not, understand, putting ourselves in a league with those who boast that they’re our superiors. We wouldn’t dare do that. But in all this comparing and grading and competing, they quite miss the point. -2Corintians 10:12 (MSG)
When you fall into a comparison trap, you can put yourself, your husband, and your family in unnecessary pressure. Continual comparison can sentence one into a perpetual state of ungratefulness to God which can eventually culminate in depression.
2. Never Become The Head Of Your Family.
That is not the order that God has instituted. The moment you try to do this, you have violated the principles of God and confusion will surely set in.
This is often expressed when you refuse to accept corrections from your husband.
But I want you to understand that Christ is supreme over every man, the husband is supreme over his wife, and God is supreme over Christ. -1Corintians 11:3 (GNB)
I am not in any way suggesting you violate God’s principles in order to ‘submit’ to your husband. But in a general sense, a wife is supposed to submit to her own husband. Some women submit to their Pastors but not to their husbands.
That bothers on hypocrisy because you are submitting to another man’s husband in effect. Your submission to your Pastor becomes genuine when you really submit to your own husband.
To be continued…
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I am a wise woman. I love my spouse appropriately
PRAYERS FOR THE DAY Pray that God will give you the wisdom to be a helpmeet indeed
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands. Proverbs 14:1
ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY Pray for your husband and children now.
It’s amazing to know that God thinks about you, isn’t it? Hello darling child, it’s another fun time to learn from God’s word, are you excited? I am and I hope you are too. Today I will be telling you how precious you are to God, I am sure it will bless your hearts.
Do you ever think about something, that you can’t get it off your mind for weeks? I know you do.
You think about the kind of birthday present you would love to have, your friends in school, your new clothes and lots more.
Just like you think about these things, God also thinks about you, your thoughts are in his heart all day long. He is thinking about your last prayer request, what he wants to give you next, and how his words can be more in your heart, God has it in his heart to keep you and your loved one safe and protected at all times. How amazing is that?
See what the bible says in the book of Psalms;
How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee. –Psalms 139:17-18 (KJV)
Not only is God always thinking about you, the bible says, these thoughts are precious, and they are great in number, meaning that it’s a lot of thoughts.
It also says they are more than the sand, wow! That’s a whole lot!
Let’s see another translation:
Your thoughts — how rare, how beautiful! God, I’ll never comprehend them! I couldn’t even begin to count them — any more than I could count the sand of the sea. Oh, let me rise in the morning and live always with you! –Psalms 139:17-18 (MSG)
See how this translation puts it, God’s thoughts towards you are rear, beautiful, they can’t be comprehended, they can’t be counted.
Do you know what you should do with this reality? Just like the psalmist, arise every morning and live always with and for God, because he has a lot in store for you.
Prayer: Lord Jesus help me to know that you are always thinking of me. Amen.
Action Point: Choose to live for God.
Declaration: I am loved by God and my thoughts fill his heart.
