The Power Of Forgiveness

The Power Of Forgiveness

Reading Time: < 1 minute

What is the power of forgiveness? Is forgiveness not for the faint-hearted? Is there really a power in forgiveness? Today we would be answer these questions.

One thing about forgiveness is that your failure to forgive has made you unholy before God, which won’t make Him listen to or even answer your prayers.

That’s because when God looks at you, He sees the mark of sin on you – resentment, unforgiveness, hatred, and He can’t look at you like that.

However, when you ask for forgiveness before you pray, it takes the mark of sin away from you. Or even while praying and the Holy Spirit convicts your heart of unforgiveness, quickly forgive whoever you need to forgive so that your prayers might be answered.

When God sees your entire heart as unholy, He also sees your body as unholy too.

By allowing unforgiveness to stay in your heart, you are causing yourself more harm than good.

An unforgiving heart affects your entire body. It can cause you to have medical conditions. The power of forgiveness cannot therefore be overemphasized.

Be holy today and forgive who you need to forgive. God bless and provide for you as you do so. Amen.

Prayer:
My Father in heaven, forgive me my trespasses and help me to forgive everyone I need to forgive, Amen.

Action point:
Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to show you who you need to forgive and do so fast

Declaration:
I choose to forgive all who have hurt me.

Benefits Of Forgiveness

Benefits Of Forgiveness

Reading Time: 2 minutes

There are benefits of forgiveness. Forgiveness is important in serving God. A key instrument in entering and staying in God’s presence is by letting go of offences.

No wonder Jesus mentioned in the Lord’s prayer that “…forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.”

We can’t come before God with any sin in our lives. The lack of forgiving others when they hurt us is a sin.

You might wonder how does this keep my body holy before God? The bible says that the heart of man is full of wickedness.

When you harbor resentment towards another person and refuse to forgive them, you can’t come before God.

Jesus said to ask for forgiveness not because of the other person, but so that God can answer your prayers. In other words, it’s about you, not the other person.

“But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins too.

Mark 11:25 NLT

It was also emphasized here:

If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.”

Matt. 6:14-15 NLT.

When you fail to forgive, you hurt yourself and cut short God’s blessing upon your life.

These are some of the benefits of forgiveness. May God help is all to to forgive all who have hurt us in time past. Amen.

Prayer:
My Father in heaven, forgive me my trespasses and help me to forgive everyone I need to forgive. I want to be holy to you. Amen.

Action point:
Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to show you who you need to forgive and do so fast

Declaration:
I forgive all who have wronged me.

Enforcing Your Healing In God

Enforcing Your Healing In God

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Enforcing your healing. Have you ever come across these words in the bible? Or heard someone say them? What comes to your mind when you hear them say it?

The prophet Isaiah was speaking about the coming of a Messiah who would come to save the whole world from the consequences of sin and lead everyone to heaven. He said the things that would happen to this messiah. Read below.

But he was wounded for the wrong things we did. He was crushed for the evil  things we did. The punishment, which made us well, was given to him. And we are healed because of his wounds.

Isaiah 53:5 ICB.

He was talking about Jesus Christ and what would happen to him. Imagine that. Even before he was born, what his death would do for you was prophesied long ago.

Look at the last sentence in the verse, “…And we are healed by his wounds.”  This means that for every wound Jesus received, He did so on your behalf. Instead of having you receive the consequences of your sins, Jesus took them upon His back.

He also made sure that you get healed from physical health challenges through His wounds. He already took them all on Him. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take your drugs or follow any doctors’ orders. It means that you should believe that Jesus has already bought your healing for you centuries before you were born. So enforcing your healing in Christ is your right.

When next you have a health challenge, say “by His wounds I am healed” because that’s true. And feel the healing power of Christ come upon you as you use your drugs too.

God bless you. By the wounds of Christ, you are healed of all health challenges you may be facing. Amen.

Prayer:
Jesus. Thank you for receiving my punishment on your back. Thank you. I receive the healing power you bought for me on the cross.

Action:
Do not forget to say by his wounds I am healed.

Declaration:
By his wounds, I am healed.

My Children Are Not Afraid

My Children Are Not Afraid

Reading Time: 2 minutes

My children are not afraid; that should be your declaration. Fear is bad. Fear is evil. Fear is from the devil. Fear has torment. Fear means False Evidence Appearing Real.

2 Tim 1:7 (NKJV)For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

The good news is that God has not given us the spirit of fear. In God, we have something more than fear.

Rather than fear, God has given us the spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. Declare that my children are not afraid.

When you are scared, what do you do?

Pray!

Praying helps you to get an understanding of what to do or not to do. Prayer is a tool to help you understand what is happening and how to deal with it.

Never allow fear into your life.

Also, talk to your parents about your fear. Don’t internalize. Talk to your teachers as well. Always learn to open up.

The major thing is that you shouldn’t allow fear – any of your false expectations appearing real, to stop you from doing what you’re supposed to do.

Don’t allow fear stop you from achieving your dreams. Declare again: My children are not afraid.

God doesn’t want you to have any form of fear and even if you do, He asks you to release them all to Him. He can carry them all and has the solution to solving them.

God bless you. Amen.

Prayer:
Lord, thank you for helping me with my fears. I am grateful for all the ways you do so. Amen.

Action point:
Release everything to God. Hold nothing back.

Declaration:
I am no longer a slave to fear, I am a child of God. My children are not afraid.

How To Give Hope With Your Words

How To Give Hope With Your Words

Reading Time: < 1 minute

There’s how to give hope to others using words. Words are strong tools that have an enormous strength to give hope to others. They can uplift somebody out of a bad situation.

Words are powerful. When a baby grows to a certain age, he/she is expected to start saying words, no matter how incoherent.

A classmate could be going through hard times at home and your words can give him hope. All the person might need could just be a “Your handwriting is cool”, “I like your shoes”, or “You are pretty”.

Prov 13:12 (NLT) Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life.

You don’t know how far your words can go in giving hope to someone who feels like nobody cares or sees him.

Another thing you need to know about words is that words are spirits. Since we know spirits don’t die, then words don’t die as well.

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

John 6:63 (KJV)

So the words you say today will go a long way to determine how your tomorrow will turn out to be.

Be a beacon of hope today. Use your words to raise up someone’s spirit. Give them hope that God loves them no matter what. Make your words count.

God keep you always. Amen.

Prayer:
Lord, use me as a beacon of hope to others. Teach me how to use my words well, in Jesus name. Amen.

Action point:
Ask the Holy Spirit to help you locate people that need to hear of God’s goodness and love for them.

Declaration:
My words bring life to the dead and hope to the hopeless.
