Be An Encouragement To Your Lover

Everyone experiences depression, moodiness, or despair from time to time. Life, as they say, happens, and singles in courtship and couples are not immune.

In most cases, your partner will not be able to solve your mood swings or sadness, but having someone on whose shoulders you can cry can be quite beneficial.

Furthermore, depending on how long you’ve been married, your spouse may lack the appropriate words or acts to make you feel better.

Being patient with your partner will help here. He or she may be coping with troubles of their own and is simply attempting to be strong for you.

It is impossible to overstate the importance of having a personal relationship with the person of the Holy Spirit. He is the greatest source of solace for our souls. He is our fortified. Our helper and comforter.

Job told his friends:

Job 16:2 (KJV)
[2] I have heard many such things: miserable comforters are ye all.

The Holy Spirit is the only true comforter!

He provides and brings us joy, gladness, and help.

However, as a pair, we must continue to support one another.

Here are two good strategies to encourage your spouse during difficult times.

Be An Encouragement To Your Lover

1. Communicate with the Holy Spirit.

It is extremely beneficial to have daily communication with the person of the Holy Spirit. Before you lash out at your spouse for acting in particular ways or conclude that he or she is uncooperative, take the situation to God.

Oh, the things we frequently forego.

Oh, what unnecessary suffering we endure because we do not bring all to God in prayer.

2. Express genuine affection to your spouse

A deep and sincere love for your spouse is one method you might give your spouse in such circumstances. Feel compassion for him or her.

Love, as they say, is an action word.

Show it, not just say it.

God bless our marriages.

Correct These Errors Before Wedding

Correct These Errors Before Wedding

Here are some errors to correct as you prepare for marriage.

1. My money is mine.

This is a mindset you must abandon as you approach marriage. You, as a person, no longer have absolute control over how your money is spent. It is now a shared decision.

You must be frugal with your money as a wife or future wife. You can no longer buy everything that catches your fancy. You must first inform your partner before giving gifts or making major financial decisions.

The same is true for the husband. You may wind up in financial trouble if you are reckless with your expenditures. It is no longer just you, you now have a family to cater for.

Correct These Errors Before Wedding

You must actively participate in covenant principles such as tithing and giving to enjoy the fullness of God’s blessing over your finances.

2. Marriage is like a Restaurant

Many people have the erroneous belief that marriage is something that can be entered like a store, boutique, or restaurant.

The food in a restaurant is already prepared and ready to be served. People are waiting for you. If the dish does not taste good, you may complain or place a different order. You owe no one a compliment if the dish is nicely prepared. After all, that is why they exist.

You get up and depart once the meal is finished. You don’t even pack your plates. You are unconcerned about the dishes or anything else.

Marriage is more like a garden in which you only reap what you sow.

You can’t expect to harvest roses if you didn’t plant them. So it would be best if you were deliberate about not planting thorns through offenses, bitterness, and unnecessary tantrums.

When both partners are committed to making the marriage succeed, it becomes enviable.

May God grant us a deeper understanding.

I’ll stop here this morning!

Hullo Sweetie, We Are Married

Hullo Sweetie, We Are Married

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Hullo Sweetie, We Are Married. The phrase “I married you” conveys both a choice and an acknowledgment on the part of the speaker.

These two components are necessary for the continued health of any marriage. The aspect of decision reminds us that we have selected one path in life, and we must adhere to it if we want our marriage to endure.

On the day of your wedding, your guests will rejoice with you, but in the end, you will be left with the outcome of your choice. This is something that I frequently tell individuals who are engaged.

There is no turning back after a couple has exchanged vows and become husband and wife. Your choice is now set in stone and cannot be reversed. You shouldn’t be focusing on changing your decisions; rather, you should be focusing on how to enjoy the ones you’ve already made.

REVIVE CONVERSATIONS now holds on ZOOM! Drop all relationship /marital questions, issues, and troubles ANONYMOUSLY, or just vent and pour your heart out. We will respond and judge the situation together by 9.00pm (Tuesdays and Thursdays) – https://khcng.com/vent/

Hullo Sweetie, We Are Married

When it comes to acceptance, the words “I married you” demonstrate that there is no room for comparison of any kind in the relationship. It indicates that you are aware of what you have done and are clear about your decision.

Marriage is an adventure that lasts a lifetime. There is no purpose in wasting each day dwelling on past wrongs, suffering, and resentment. You do not have an infinite amount of time, therefore you should make the most of each day.

Continue doing what you’re doing and make sure you’re getting the most out of your marriage.

Hullo Sweetie, We Are Married

Everything that is happening in your marriage right now is a direct result of the choices you have made.

A marriage s beyond a transaction. it is a covenant, God Himself being the covenant witness. It comes with responsibilities, learning and unlearning, understanding how to live with your spouse, and sacrificing for one another most of the time.

Are you ready to get married? Are you married? Then start thinking about commitment, responsibility, sacrifice, understanding, and adding value to one another!

Good morning!

Where Is The Virtue In My Lover?

Where Is The Virtue In My Lover?

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Where Is The Virtue In My Lover? Many people enter relationships and marriage expecting the other partner to be loving and sweet with little expectation on their part.

They seem to indulge themselves in their weaknesses. We permit ourselves to still linger in our shortcomings, where we are still dealing with our flesh. We expect our partner to be a shoulder we can lean on and a support system to carry all our burdens.

We expect them to be our solution to every problem and to have answers to all our problems.

We expect them to understand us when we are naughty, moody, and unpleasant.

As all these expectations seem wonderful, the reality is that there is no human being capable of fitting into that mold.

The Godhead, that is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit is the only perfect one that can fit into that mold.

The Bible rightly says in Proverb 20:6 the last phrase, a faithful man who can find?

Pro 20:6  Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?

Your search for a faithful man is going to be a long search. The faithfulness of character, and diligence in all things, spiritual and natural comes only when we embrace the virtues of God. When God the Father becomes our father indeed, God the Son becomes our meditation day and night and the Holy Spirit becomes our greatest ally.

The Proverbs 31 Woman paints an incredible picture of a woman of virtue, strength, and character, which happens to be every man’s dream woman.  Verse 30b seems to be the most important verse in the whole chapter. I think the whole chapter rests on this verse where the secret of Proverb 31 woman hinges.

Pro 31:30  Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

The proverb 31 woman fears the Lord.

It is high time we begin to look inwards and begin to develop our own virtue by the fear of the Lord. Whether man or woman, God is the only guaranteed source of our virtue.

An omelet is not better than the eggs that make the omelet. Instead of putting pressure on the other party for performance, let us work at becoming virtuous ourselves. Let us work at being loving, caring, gentle, kind, forgiving, a person of the word and spirit.

Whether in a relationship or in marriage.  Let us work at being that powerful person. That person that will be a positive influencer in the relationship and marriage.
