Son 2:3-7 (MSG) As an apricot tree stands out in the forest, my lover stands above the young men in town. All I want is to sit in his shade, to taste and savor his delicious love.
Well, born again or not, there is a strong desire that comes with falling in love. If you like, speak in tongues till tomorrow, this desire will not go.
But what can be subdued is lust that often wants to tag along, like Lot tagged along with Abraham.
Yes, the desire will not go, because there is nothing wrong with the desire, it is the fulfillment of the desire at a wrong time that gets us into trouble.
So, all you want when you fall in love is that you want to sit down in each other’s shade, with feelings of wanting to taste and savor the delicious love.
I felt like that. She felt like that. But we waited. You can wait as well.
No matter how intense the desire is, do not taste that love before wedding. Tasting love and consummating your love before wedding is like stealing a hot meat from the pot of stew before it is ready.
Your taste bud gets burnt and you can lose your sense of taste, which ultimately leads to tasting more pot of stew that does not belong to you!
2. The Feasting of the Eye Rather Than On The Meal
Son 2:4 (MSG) He took me home with him for a festive meal, but his eyes feasted on me!
So she followed him home or to some guest house for a meal. Let’s just eat out.
May we not dine with the wrong person. May we not eat up our destinies.
The guy had more plans than just the meal.
Ladies, be careful who buys free meals for you, you might be paying for it soonest.
Rather than for the guy to feast on the meal, his eyes were riveted on the damsel.
Essentially, men are moved by sight.
Men, watch what you see. Ladies, watch what is seen.
I will stop here this morning.
Have a blessed day!
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I will not fall in love carelessly
PRAYER FOR THE DAY Lord, let my strong desires be for you
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Proverbs 22:24 Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go:
ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY Disconnect from every wrong relationship
Friendship is like a foundation of relationship upon which a great marriage is built. Marry your friend! Whoever is not a friend, is not worth a marriage relationship.
Friends love each other. Friends forgive each other. Friends look after one another’s good. Friends talk and play. Friends do not “form” for each other. Friends pray together. Friends easily overlook each other’s mistakes. Friends cover for each other.
If your lover is not a friend, there will be issues.
Do not marry a “father” or a “mother” or an “uncle,” rather marry a friend.
If he or she is not a friend, don’t walk down the aisle.
2. Friends are thoughtful and sensitive
A friend doesn’t just blab, he knows what to say, when to say it and how to say it.
A friend is careful not to get you unnecessarily aggravated. That is the kind of person you need in marriage.
An understanding person. A person on whose shoulder you can lean. A hearing ear, understanding heart, and empathic listener.
The one that will not allow you to say anything while you are courting is already showing you that you will be muted in marriage. And that can be frustrating.
Nothing is as frustrating as unexpressed and bottled up words and feelings.
A friend enjoys your “talk” although you should not resort to nagging.
3. Friends are truthful
Friends would always tell you the truth.
Beware of people who say they are your friends and all they do is to tell you what you want to hear, and flatter you all the time.
A flattering neighbor is up to no good; he’s probably planning to take advantage of you.
Pro 29:5 (MSG)
Marry a friend who can tell you the truth, because you often time get to positions that it is only your spouse that can tell you the truth.
Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.
Pro 27:6 (KJV)
The one that is kissing you but will never tell you as it is is not a friend. He or she is not ready to tell you anything that will cause the “kissing” to discontinue. That person is not really a friend.
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I will get it right in marriage
PRAYER FOR THE DAY Pray that God will lead you to the right person.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY 1 Corinthians 13:6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY Disconnect from every wrong relationship
For singles, work on your anger. Anger can make men run away!
Guys are logical, so in each of your anger episodes, they are thinking about what will happen after wedding and they are making up their minds.
That could, on few occasions, be the reason why some guys just disappear after promising weeding! They got scared!
I am not asking you to pretend. I am asking you to work on it. Read books on anger management. Read scriptures that talks about anger. Some of them will humble you.
For example,
Don’t be quick to fly off the handle. Anger boomerangs. You can spot a fool by the lumps on his head.
Ecc 7:9 (MSG)
Does that lump appear on your heard when you are pissed? The Bible is saying that it is foolishness to be given to uncontrollable anger.
Anger can end relationships. Anger can scatter relationships. Anger can divide a God ordained relationship!
Let’s take a look at two angry brothers in the Bible.
Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty are in their habitations. [6] O my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honour, be not thou united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their selfwill they digged down a wall. [7] Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.
Gen 49:5-7 (KJV)
Anger leads to division and scattering.
The Message Translation is apt in verse 7
A curse on their uncontrolled anger, on their indiscriminate wrath. I’ll throw them out with the trash; I’ll shred and scatter them like confetti throughout Israel.
Gen 49:7 (MSG)
Your God ordained love affair not be shredded! Your courtship or marriage will not end in the trash! Your home will not be scattered like confetti!
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I will not fall in love with an angry lover.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY Lord, deliver me from an angry lover
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Proverbs 22:24 Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go:

We will be looking at finding and keeping the love of your life.
1. Where to get a good wife
House and riches are the inheritance from fathers, but a wise, understanding, and prudent wife is from the Lord.
Pro 19:14 (AMP)
A good, wise, understanding and prudent wife can only come from one source and that is from the Lord, period.
It won ’t come from clubbing around. It won’t come from sampling ladies around. It will only come from the Lord.
It is simply logical then, that a deliberate, conscious relationship with God is a must to have a good family and make a good choice.
How else can you ask God for a prudent wife without having a relationship with Him?
In essence, you want a good spouse? Go after God first, since a prudent wife comes from Him.
If the Bible says there are prudent, wise women, then it means that there are wives that are foolish and not prudent. Trust me, you want a prudent wife!
Your choice of a life partner will either make you or mar you, a delight or a disaster. Your choice will make your home a haven or an oven.
What if you are already married and you feel your wife is not prudent? Of which you may be wrong! But let’s assume that is how you feel.
What you do is to go back to God and retrace your steps. He will tell you what to do, He will give you wisdom on how to go about it.
The solution to the imbroglio you are facing in your home and marriage now is with God. Take time to find that out before you take rash decisions.
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY God will lead me to a prudent wife.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY Lord, open the eyes of my understanding.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Proverbs 19:14 (KJV) House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the LORD.

We started on this yesterday!
4. Blame Shift
You are constantly blamed for their woes, problems, difficulties, lack, failure and unhappiness.
You are told that you are the reason for any misfortune in their lives.
You are constantly reminded that everything with them was okay until you came into their lives.
5. Withdrawal
They are adept in withdrawing into their shells in order to punish you and demand your attention. They disengage and use neglect, abandonment, and measured withdrawals to punish, frighten and intimidate you.
6. You are always in the wrong
They make you feel that they are always right, and you are wrong. They would arrange facts and sentiments to prove that to you over and over again until you start thinking there is a curse on you, or that some people are fighting you spiritually from your village.
7. Control over you finances
They try to control your finances and how you spend money. Your credit card is permanently with them.
They tell you what to buy and what not to buy. You are told that you are a careless spender and and you cannot mange money well.
They end up emptying your account from month to month and keep threatening you that they will leave you and you will not be able to survive.
You know what?
God has made you free from such manipulative relationships!
Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.
Psa 124:7 (KJV)
The snare of the soul has been broken by the Lord Jesus Christ. Do not subject yourself under any weak and beggarly element again! You have been made free!
I pray for all who might be in an emotionally draining and abusive alliance. I break the power of such deceptions and manipulations in Jesus name and I proclaim you free in Jesus name!
Whosoever the son of man has made free is free indeed! You are free from today in Jesus name!
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY The eyes of my understanding are opened to see these signs.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY Lord, open the eyes of my understanding.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Proverbs 22:24 Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go:
ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY Disconnect from every wrong relationship when
Emotional abuse is a weapon normally used to control and bring dominance upon the other person. This is often because the abuser has past childhood wounds and insecurities that are still fresh, mostly because they were abused themselves.
Do not cope with an emotionally abusive relationship. At the end of the day, it is never worth it.
Emotionally abusive relationships end up damaging your self-esteem and dignity. It often involves a consistent pattern of verbal attacks, threats, bullying, and unending criticism, using tools like manipulation, intimidation, and shaming.
In an emotionally abusive relationship, a form of deception is involved. This is because the victim usually would not see the experience as abusive. Coping mechanisms of denial are developed in order to subdue the attack.
However, the effects of long-term emotional abuse will cause emotional trauma and upheaval resulting in several dysfunctions and complications.

Emotional abuse can be debilitating and traumatic. God wants you free from emotionally abusive relationships.
Look at the scriptures:
Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.
Psa 124:7 (KJV)
Now, let’s identify some sure signs that you may be in an emotionally abusive relationship.
1. Your Individuality is in question You are viewed as an extension of themselves rather than as an individual. Your opinions are disrespected and you are constantly reminded that without them, you are nothing. Your suggestions and ideas are trampled. When you find yourself in such, it is time to walk away.
2. Unending Chastisement You are corrected or chastised for your behaviors, almost all the time and publicly too. There is nothing you do that is right. Every word you speak is an error.
3. False Accusation You are dubbed “over-sensitive” in order that you can continue coping with the unending abuse and manipulations. You are constantly told to “grow up!”
To be continued tomorrow…
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY The eyes of my understanding are opened to see these signs.

1. Words like arrows
A sign of emotional manipulation is when you are called names, given unpleasant labels, derogatory nicknames, and the use of biting cutting remarks. Words are powerful and you are what you hear every day.
A guy goes to Medical school and listens to medical classes for seven years and then becomes a Medical Doctor. The same thing with a lawyer. Invariably, you are what you are hearing.
You should therefore not allow anybody to constantly pull you down and trample on your esteem all in the name of love. Love will not constantly put you down! Love will not crush your esteem day after day.
If one or more of these signs are prevalent in your relationship, you may need to pause and review it.
Listen to me, marriage does not change abusers. It is better to remain single and wait for the right person than to rush into a marriage with an abuser because of the pressures around you.
When the abuse takes a toll, all the people putting pressure will not be seen around you. The last day you would see most of them is on your wedding day to eat your food!
As my wife would always say, you will live with your choice!
Did you miss out on yesterday’s devotional, we’ve got you covered. Kindly go HERE. For KHC video Devotionals, kindly go HERE
2. The Use of Personal information
Abusers can often resort to using your personal information and secrets against you and to control you.
This is why you have to beware of people who are always asking for your nude pictures. Why would a person who claims to be a child of God be asking for your nude pictures? There is something perverse about that. Is it to masturbate or what? Or to sell the pictures?
Young ladies, don’t ever send you nude pictures to anyone in the name of love. He would eventually use your pictures to manipulate and control you, and when you call his bluff, you would find your nude pictures all over the internet.
Several young girls have committed suicide when they couldn’t bear the shame of having their nude pictures and videos all over the internet. So, don’t ever make that mistake.
Your soul has escaped like a bird out of the snare of the flower! Fly away from all demonic and manipulative relationships.
Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.
Pro 6:5 (KJV)
Cut off that relationship where you are being oppressed. Let the wrong person go so that the right person can show up!
I pray that God will grant you more understanding!

Here are some reasons why men often delay or develop a sore foot when it comes to getting married.
4. They don’t want to lose all the attention they get from girlfriends
He may just still be that handsome boyfriend that all other girlfriends are doting over.
So he wants to enjoy the attention and he feels the marriage will take that attention away.
5. They still want to have fun
He is a party freak and he knows that marriage will ‘imprison’ him.
So, he prefers to stay acquitted and discharged.
He has a warped view of what marriage really is.
He might still want to also stay in touch with his ex or exes for sexual gratification.
6. They are not really in love
He may not really be in love with you. He may just be holding unto you because of the fun he gets constantly.
As far as he is concerned, marriage is all about sex
Since he can get it now, then there is no need to take it to the next level with deeper commitments, especially when finances would be involved.
7. They don’t want any commitment yet
He is just not interested in having any commitments because he believes he wouldn’t have that ‘time’ to himself again.
8. They are just not sincere
He may just not be sincere with you.
So he keeps postponing and postponing when in reality, he is not going to get married to you.
This is nothing short of designer wickedness!
9. They have not made up their minds on who they want
He is still unsure of who the best is among his numerous girlfriends.
And that is where the problem is, double dating and pre-maritals bring confusion into the soul.
The more girls he gets involved with in his bid to decide, the more confused he becomes.
The more he looks, the less he sees until he can see nothing in the midst of everything!
10. They don’t really understand the biblical concept of marriage
When a man doesn’t have a relationship with God, he would not really understand the true purpose of marriage and that would eventually inform his actions and decisions.
That is why as a marriage counselor, I often say that it is unwise to get involved with a man that doesn’t truly love God!
Good morning!
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I will not experience a marital delay.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY Lord, open the eyes of my understanding.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Psalm 32:8 (KJV) I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY Forgive those that have hurt you
I have often been asked why guys often delay in marriage. From ladies’ expectations towards court marriage, church marriage, or traditional marriage, there have been so many disappointments and sudden cancellations.
Oftentimes, people enter relationships without marriage counseling of any form. These days, there are many good and godly marriage therapists especially in form of online marriage counseling.
The single, as well as the married, are supposed to take advantage of all these in order to ensure that mistakes are avoided.
Here are some reasons why men often delay or develop a sore foot when it comes to getting married.
1. They are actually not ready Most of the time, the guys are not ready. So when you start talking about marriage, they hear you with one side of the ear and allow it to escape through the other.
Did you miss out on yesterday’s devotional, we’ve got you covered. Kindly go HERE. For KHC video Devotionals, kindly go HERE
They will usually ask you to wait or even get angry when you bring up the subject. Don’t waste your time trying to beg him, he is simply not ready. If you successfully push him into marriage, he would complain for a long time at any slight pressure.
2. They are scared of responsibilities Another reason is that an average man is just scared of the responsibilities involved especially if he has gone through the trauma of being raised in a broken home or by a divorcee.
It all has a way of influencing his perspectives on marriage. Only God’s word can bring renewal of mind and a balanced outlook to what marriage really is.
3. They are not ready to raise a family They may just not be ready to raise a family. In his mind, someone is still raising him as far as he is concerned. He is still Mummy’s boy.
If you marry a mummy’s boy, the mummy will rule your home, in reality, or by proxy.
To be continued…
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I will marry rightly. I will not meet with men who will delay me.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY Lord, deliver me from men who want to delay me.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Isaiah 30:21 [KJV] And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
What are his priorities? Would he watch football instead of going to church on a Sunday? Believe me, you don’t need such lukewarmness over your head! The fire in you will die slowly when your faith is constantly belittled, trampled, and disregarded.
It can be frustrating to have to choose a man over God. That kind of relationship or marriage is packaged to fail from its very inception.
10. Anger Issues
Finally, does he have anger issues? Everybody gets angry regularly, but there are dangerous levels of anger that is not healthy for a family.
Anger and foolishness walk hand in hand. An angry man would always make foolish decisions.
He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly:..
Pro 14:17a (KJV)
The hotheaded do things they’ll later regret…
Pro 14:17a (MSG)
As a matter of fact, the scriptures advise that you should not fall in love with an angry man. This is because an angry man is very much likely to revert to domestic violence.
Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go
Pro 22:24 (KJV)
What if he has anger issues and he is working on it? Then check for peace. If peace is there, you can proceed.
Did you miss out on yesterday’s devotional, we’ve got you covered. Kindly go HERE. For KHC video Devotionals, kindly go HERE
However, the Bible minces no word about dealing with angry people. Angry people can murder their spouses. They can wipe out the family and then kill themselves.
I will like to stop here this morning but I am sure you have enough stuff to think on and meditate on.
It is almost a curse when a man pairs up with a wrong set of bones. It would bring pain and agony, in the inner crevices of the bones, in the very marrow.
Adam said this is the bone of my bones…I pray you will find your bones and not another man’s bones!
In Ezekiel 37, something amazing happened.
Eze 37:7 (KJV)So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.
Bone came to his bone!
I prophesy as I am commanded this morning, bone will come to his bone in your marital pursuit in Jesus name!
Have a blessed day!
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I will marry rightly. I will ask the right question.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY Lord, help me to ask the right question.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Isaiah 30:21 [KJV] And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY Ask for the utterance to ask the right question.
Are you still following the series? These questions are necessary to ask before you conclude that you’ve met your soul mate.
7. Habits
What are his habits? Be specific and ask directly.
Do you drink?
Do you smoke?
Do you club?
If the answer to the above is in the affirmative, you obviously are not on the same page.
Don’t become partners with those who reject God. How can you make a partnership out of right and wrong? That’s not partnership; that’s war. Is light best friends with dark?
2Co 6:14 (MSG)
There is nothing to pray about, there is no need to pray that God would change him for you because nothing can happen until he makes up his mind.
If he says no, he doesn’t do all of these and then you discover later, run for your dear life.
Did you miss out on yesterday’s devotional, we’ve got you covered. Kindly go HERE. For KHC video Devotionals, kindly go HERE
Run because he has the capacity to be untruthful. Insincerity and adultery are cousins! They hang out together.
If he says, yes, but he would change later after the wedding, he is unlikely to change! Marriage is not a change agent.
Also, be careful of those who want to change because of you, not because they feel it is wrong. They would go back there later!
Also, be careful of people who say you should change them. You cannot change anybody. You are not the Holy Spirit.
8. Sexual Compromise
What is his disposition to sex before marriage?
If he believes there is nothing wrong with it, he is more or less telling you that he would defile you before the wedding day. He is already telling you that he would put pressure.
Nothing is as frustrating as loving a man that doesn’t love God. Nothing is as agonizing as to have given your heart to a man who has not given his heart to God.
To be Continued…
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I will marry rightly.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY Lord, help me to ask the right questions.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Isaiah 30:21 [KJV] And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
Today, we will continue by looking at more questions.
These questions are not the ultimate deciders, but just to simply guide you on how to engage a prospective lover, and they are better asked before falling head over heels in love.
Once you fall in love, the reasoning capacity to tender questions becomes weak, judgments are beclouded and love shields from reality.
It is even worse when sex is involved, the capacity to ask questions is dead, the mind becomes convoluted, intricately folded into confusion weaves.
This confusion of the soul often works in consonance with soul ties, and it can really make a person take the unwisest decisions ever, only to start regretting later.
Ladies, never proceed into a love adventure without asking questions, for after you have started, the power to ask resets to zero because his pursuit is over, value diminishes and the hunter in him hangs the bow and arrow.
He now owns you!

Let’s go.
6. Mentors Does he have mentors? Who are his mentors? If he doesn’t have mentors before now, why? Is it more of ignorance on mentoring benefits or defiance and arrogance on needlessness of mentoring?
This has to be sorted. Assuming he never had, is he willing to get one?
In his response being a Yes, is it a quick answer because he quickly wants to get past your questions, or is he genuine in his response?
This is where you need the Holy Spirit to read in-between the lines, to trust God to help you expose any lying and deceptive spirit.
If he says No, he doesn’t need a mentor, then you should know there would be issues. He is not ready to take counsel, he is averse to authority figures over him.
The issue is when he misbehaves, who do you report him to?
Selah!
To be continued…
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I will marry rightly. I will ask the right questions.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY Lord, lead me to the right person for me.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Isaiah 30:21 [KJV] And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
You are asking this to know if his plans will accommodate and complement your own.
There are some career combinations that just would not go together. Find out if you are getting married to a sailor that may not be around several months of the year!
If you are very clingy and you cannot bear seeing people around your husband, then don’t marry a Pastor!
“Is there anyone here who, planning to build a new house, doesn’t first sit down and figure the cost so you’ll know if you can complete it?
Luk 14:28 (MSG)
4. Sisters and Mum?
How does he relate with mum and sisters? It is an indication of how he would relate to you!
If you hear him over the phone shouting and screaming at his siblings, well, the handwriting is clear on the wall what you should expect in a few weeks after the wedding.
5. Values
What are his values in life? If he goes like “I am a free thinker. I only attend church when I feel like.”
That shows some value conflict, right?
If your values are at variance, it is an indication that numerous quarrels and disagreements are in the offing.
On a final note, please understand these questions are not to turn you into a questionnaire!
The intent is not to use questions to disregard God’s direction.
Did you miss out on yesterday’s devotional, we’ve got you covered. Kindly go HERE. For KHC video Devotionals, kindly go HERE
If all your questions are not properly answered and yet you have the peace of God, please proceed, because it is only God that knows tomorrow.
However, in such cases, you have to make sure it is really peace, and not a feeling.
It is important to ask these questions, pray and seek God’s direction before falling in love.
When you have fallen in love, you really would not care about any questions or answers!
I pray that God will grant us more understanding.
You will not miss it in Jesus name!
Ee o ni bo si owo alawin ni oruko Jesu! (You won’t fall in love with the wrong person in Jesus name)
Be Blessed!
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I will marry rightly.
Yes, he is asking you out, you have prayed or you are praying, he is looking more like it, what do you do as the lady before ultimately giving your heart to him?
Well, what you do is to ask questions.
In the process of asking questions, you will conclude whether you are with the right person or not.
His responses to the questions would show his depth, his preparedness, his state of heart, how he thinks, and what he would likely do in certain circumstances.
These questions, essentially are not to knock off God’s direction but to affirm that which is in your heart concerning what God is saying.
The responses to the questions would also wake you up in case you are just in some romantic and unrealistic island of love, or you are just simply hung on a crush.

Gird up your loins now like a man; I will demand of you, and you answer Me.
Job 40:7 (AMP)
“I have some more questions for you, and I want straight answers.
Job 40:7 (MSG)
Face me and answer the questions I ask!
Job 40:7 (CEV)
Here are a few questions to ask him after he has asked you out.
1. Why me? Why not another person? What do you see in me that warranted your decision? The response to this question would show whether his intention is genuine or not.
You see, when someone is telling a lie or pretending, it shows in his speech patterns, when he is saying the truth and communicating from his heart, it also shows.
You must not allow the feelings of love to becloud your judgment in picking out loose ends in the responses.
Let him face the panel. lol…
2. Conviction What is his conviction? The response to this question will help you determine the source of the move and the motive of the heart.
Who told him you are the one? How did he really get to know?
This kind of question helps you to know if it is just a playful thing he has in mind or the real deal.
Who wants to be walking up and down the aisle without ever getting to the altar to receive the ring? God forbid.
So, you are nearing thirty, and you really don’t have time for some adolescent fling that will lead nowhere!
To be continued…
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I will marry rightly.
The faith of your lover. His faith is important, mostly because his faith will influence yours.
It is his faith in God that will cause him to have the fear of God. If he has the fear of God, he will never cheat on you.
He would rather protect you and care for you. He would have the wisdom to live with you and raise a godly family because the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.
Never ever get married to a man who has no regard for God. It would be the greatest mistake of the century.
Perhaps, the Holy Spirit is leading me to write on this because someone is out there at the crossroad of a decision. Well, no matter how much you love him, no matter how much preparation you have made, no matter how much has been spent, if he does not have a relationship with God, pick your bags and bolt!
Run for your life. Preserve your destiny with your choice.
Don’t become partners with those who reject God. How can you make a partnership out of right and wrong? That’s not partnership; that’s war. Is light best friends with dark? [15] Does Christ go strolling with the Devil? Do trust and mistrust hold hands?
2Co 6:14-15 (MSG)
There is no greater partnership than marriage. Destinies are wedged together. Souls become tied together. Afflictions are intertwined and shared. Blessings are shared as well.

In marriage, there is a “knowing” at the highest level as love is consummated. The husband becomes the cover and the head of the family. God forbids that the head is sick, for he would only transfer the sickness. He can only give what he has.
God forbid that the head is foolish, he would only disseminate the foolishness and no more. He would make foolish decisions and it would affect the wife and the children, and sometimes, the children’s children!
The mouth of the foolish poureth out foolishness.
The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.
Pro 15:2 (KJV)
Take a look at the Message Translation:
Knowledge flows like spring water from the wise; fools are leaky faucets, dripping nonsense.
Pro 15:2 (MSG)
May you not have a leaky faucet of a head, dripping nonsense over your destiny!
I tell you, as a counselor, that can be frustrating!
How beautiful is it, to have a praying man over your life, to have a man who is faithful to you, who will never cheat on you, not because he doesn’t feel like it but because he fears God!
Go for a man that fears God. Go for a God-lover! Go for a God-chaser!
It would put your mind at rest. You wouldn’t need to add the unrest, the suspicion, the insecurity, the disagreements, and the bickering that goes with knowing your spouse is cheating on you to your daily pressures.
Go for peace of mind.
Be blessed today and always in Jesus name!
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I will marry rightly.
“I have ported to Olorunsogo, I’m no longer in Surulere!”
“I don’t care if he is not good-looking, as long as he has money!”
These and more statements are what flies around these days. It is good to desire good things, but man will never be your source! It is important to understand this truth.
Men should be responsible, financially grounded with good jobs, but they would never become your Jehovah Jireh.
Asking a guy for a car before you can say yes is a wrong approach altogether. You must be sure you are in love with the person and not with the purse. You are getting married to the man, not his ATM.
Don’t ever make the mistake of using his purse to determine your decision to marry him or not. The contents of the purse are not always permanent, things often change with time.
In the heart of God, He knows the right person for you. The person He has for you is His best plan for your life.
Who He has for you will not turn you into a widow after five years. Who He has for you will not turn you into a punching bag after a while.
It is only God that can dig out a man who will still love you in another fifty years.
It is only God that knows the man who will gracefully combine the role of a responsible husband and a responsible father.

It is only God that knows a broke man who is on his way to being rich and a rich man who is on his way to being broke.
It is only God who knows the man that will provide an enabling environment for you to blossom, for your gifts to come alive and for your productivity to be at the maximum.
So, it becomes important to allow God’s purpose to supersede man’s purse.
The purpose is greater than the purse. A fat purse without a purpose in life will soon go empty.
Don’t be caught up with the mammon spirit, wherein, money is the decision fulcrum.
Let God have the final say. He only knows tomorrow. He only knows the eye that will not begin early to issue out pus!
Before you find out about his bank account, find out about God’s account of him. That is how to do it right.
I pray that God will give you direction indeed and that He will show you His plans for your life in Jesus name!
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I will marry rightly.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Isaiah 30:21 [KJV] And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
Oh my God, everything is set! The hips, the lips, and the tips! The right statistics are all there! And above all, she is spiritual! I have listened to her tongues, it is the tongues of an angel!
Well, the reality is that you cannot determine a person’s spirituality by how she speaks in tongues.
That was how a particular brother broke his relationship because all the “tongues” of the sister is “sanda, sanda, sanda, sanda…. the brother reasoned, when will she buy shoe?
So, he ended up marrying this other sister whose tongue is full of rich vowels and the tongues sound like a real language.
What he doesn’t know is that you cannot decode anything with physical ears. It is a mystery unto God, not for a brother to use as a measure of spirituality.
So, after marrying this sister whose tongues is all packaged, he found out that she was very lazy. She couldn’t cook any good food successfully. So, who is spiritual?

Her tongues are all packaged but she cannot cook or change pampers! She is not spiritual.
What the brother failed to realized is that there are sisters, sistos, sis and babes!
She is speaking in tongues while her mum is preparing food she would eat daily and setting table for her! She is not spiritual because she is not honoring her parents.
So, basically, beyond the hips, lips, and tips, there is more to it. Look deeper, beauty can be deceptive.
Thank God for hot legs, the heart nko? The heart should be hot as well!
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
Pro 31:30 (KJV)
The only way beauty would not be vain is if it is sitting on a heart that is after God, with a character that speaks of the kingdom lifestyle.
One of the contradictions of our generation is that a beautiful face can conveniently sit on an empty head.
Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout is a beautiful face on an empty head.
Pro 11:22 (MSG)
In the Message Translation of Pro 31:30
Charm can mislead and beauty soon fades. The woman to be admired and praised is the woman who lives in the Fear-of-GOD.
Pro 31:30 (MSG)
She has to fear the Lord! A lady who does not fear the Lord will bring hell rather than help!
A lady who cannot say NO to iniquity, who spreads her legs at the sight of mammon, who compromises and forsakes the guide of her youth is not worth it.
May God guide you as you decide in the area.

5. Getting married because a pastor or parent said so
Yes, pastors and parents can advise and give a go-ahead. But you also have to be convinced by yourself. Your parent or pastor will not live in the marriage with you. Marry because there is peace, purpose, attraction, and compatibility. Hear God for yourself.
6. Getting married to someone you cannot submit to
Wives are called to ultimately submit to their own husbands. However, submission in marriage is also mutual. Never marry someone you are not ready or willing to submit to.
7. Getting married when you are not ready to love as Christ loves the church
Did you miss out on yesterday’s devotional, we’ve got you covered. Kindly go HERE. For KHC video Devotionals, kindly go HERE
Christ is the perfect example of love; the God kind of love that is without selfish motive. If you cannot love sacrificially, don’t marry that person.
8. Getting married just because you are from the same tribe or have things in common
You are not marrying because of your tribe or home town. You are marrying that person because you want to fulfill purpose and destiny together.
9. Getting married because people advised or counsel you to do so
People’s advice and counsel can very well be wrong and misleading. Only God leads well and right. God will not ask the people, He will ask you. Be answerable for your own destiny. Don’t marry solely out of people’s advice.
10. Getting married because of the present alone
Don’t marry a person because of his/her present situation alone. Have deep consideration for his/her future too. Is he rich now but on his way to being poor because he lacks the power to sustain and multiply wealth? That is one of the pertinent questions to ask.
Have a great day!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Isaiah 30:21 [KJV] And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
It is amazing that there are many unrealistic, funny, and illogical reasons why people often get married. A lot of people don’t have the slightest idea of what marriage entails. People get married when they are not fully prepared for it.
These ten reasons will help differentiate the right reasons and wrong reasons for getting married. The list is not exhaustive, but will at least help you to some extent.
1. Getting married because of pity
This is a wrong reason to want to get married to someone. Marriage is a covenant journey that requires mutual agreement, commitment, and willingness of both parties involved. Marriage should never be out of pity. You don’t marry because you want to help or solve someone’s problems. It has never worked and will never work.
2. Getting married because you feel you don’t have any other option.
Some ladies feel helpless and feel they don’t have any other option than to marry a particular person. Nothing can be far from the truth than this. Yes, you have many other options. Allow God to lead you, He won’t lead you wrong. Putting yourself in a tight corner and getting married blindly when all the dangers are explicit enough is not the way to go.

3. Getting married because you don’t want to break someone’s heart.
It is better there is a broken heart that can be healed than for there to be a broken, unfulfilled life and an unaccomplished destiny. A broken heart is way still better than a broken life. May your life not be broken in Jesus name.
4. Getting married because God said so.
You need to hear God as well. God is the ultimate authority, but you have to also be in agreement with God’s decision. You have to love the person with your whole heart in addition to God leading you and telling you the right person to marry.
You find some people say they are marrying a certain person they really detest, because God said so. God will never lead you wrong. God is not an author of confusion. He will not lead you to someone that you loathe and hate.
May God grant you more understanding.
To be continued tomorrow…

If he can disregard your God, he would disregard you!
Beware of a handsome face sitting upon an ugly heart. The ugliness would eventually extend to the face in no time.
Beware of the handsome man that wants you to compromise your faith in order to satisfy his rush of adrenaline.
Beware of the one that can combine an ugly heart with a handsome face.
Fine man, but he beats his wife!
Handsome man, but irresponsible!

Lord, give me a spouse handsome within and without.
Lord, give me a spouse beautiful within and without.
I pray for you, God will honor your prayers! You will not regret your actions in Jesus name. You will not spend the major part of your life agonizing and living in pain over a fine face, but ugly heart. God will guide you, lead you and honor you in Jesus name.
You will not miss it!
For those who are already married, God will make your union a beautiful one within and without.
That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace: [13] That our garners may be full, affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets: [14] That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets.
Psa 144:12-14 (KJV)
So shall it be in Jesus name!
Your home will be blessed. Your children will be blessed. The works of your hands shall be blessed.
