Here Is Why You Should Not Be Afraid

Here Is Why You Should Not Be Afraid

Reading Time: 2 minutes

In this article “Here Is Why You Should Not Be Afraid” we would be dealing with fear, and getting rid of it from our lives. Everyone has fears. It’s part of our human nature. Fear can be good or bad depending on if you allow it to control you.

Your words, thoughts, actions can be controlled by fear. Fear can make you say the wrong thing, act the wrong way, and think the wrong thoughts. Having a fear can make you not even take any action at all.

The Bible tells you to not fear because God is with you. Rather than fear, the Bible tells you to give all your fears to God. To release them to Him because He alone can help you overcome any fear. Here Is Why You Should Not Be Afraid.

See one powerful scripture about fear;

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].

2 Tim 1:7 [AMP]

As someone rightly said, FEAR is simply defined as False Expectations Appearing Real.

From the acronym for fear, the letter F stands for false.

Most of our fears are false. They are not real. Our mind has only just painted a terrible picture of what a situation could end up like or is.

For instance, you have an exam in school and your mind keeps telling you that you will fail. It’s all false expectations. Instead of filling your mind with the thought of failure, fill it with the word of God, read and study for the exam.

Bottom line is to learn to bring your thoughts under the control of the word of God.

God bless you. Amen.

Prayer:
God, I bring all my fears to you. Help me with them. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Action point:
List all your fears out and start to pray about them.

Declaration:
I am not afraid.

Dear Children, Be Responsible

Dear Children, Be Responsible

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Dear children, be responsible! In the church, we learn about God and His word. Just like at school where you relate with other people, you relate with a lot of other people in the church. At church, you meet with the pastors, church members, visitors, and other children like you.

So, how do you show responsibility in church?

1. Show respect for God’s house

The first step is by showing respect for the house of God. You don’t disturb during service but listen to the children’s church teachers as they teach. Do not cause distractions or lead others into mischief.

2. Show respect for the adults

Respect all the adults including your parents. Greet people appropriately as you meet them, smile, and say “thank you” when they pay you a compliment. Answer and ask questions politely.

3. Do not litter the floor

Don’t litter the church environment with the wrappings of candies or biscuits you eat. Find a waste bin and use it. In the event that you do litter the floor, pick the litter off the ground and trash it.

4. Be of help to your teachers

Another cool way to be responsible is by helping to assist your teachers or those that need help. You could help the elderly to carry their bags or bibles to their car.

You could also volunteer to stay with the preschool kids and teach them some cool gospel songs. When it’s feeding time, you could help to feed them.

Dear children, be responsible. There are more cool ways to be responsible at church. Just ask the Holy Spirit to show you how. And may He do so. Amen.

Prayer:
Father, help me to show respect for your house by being responsible for my actions and words at church.

Action point:
How will act responsibly at church on Sunday? Answer this question.

Declaration:
I show responsibility in my church.

Declaring God’s Mercy Over My Children

Declaring God’s Mercy Over My Children

Reading Time: < 1 minute

One thing we can daily pray for is the mercy of God over our children. God’s mercy is able to preserve, to protect, and to deliver.

God is declared in the scriptures as the father of all mercies. This means he has mercy at his disposal. We can easily reach him and ask for his mercy whenever we need to.

As for you, O Lord, you will not restrain your mercy from me; your steadfast love and your faithfulness will ever preserve me!

Psalm 40:11[ ESV]

Children, God’s promise is that he will not restrain his mercy from you. His love and faithfulness are always on standby to preserve you.

So whenever the devil comes with doubts, you can easily read out God’s promise of mercy and calm your mind.

As Parents, we should always pray for this dimension of God over our children, that they will continually enjoy God’s mercy in all that they do.

The mercy of God preserves, hence, children need not be afraid or entertain fear in any form. Rather, they should be confident that the mercy, love, and faithfulness of God will always preserve them.

Declaration:
My children are continually preserved by God’s mercy, love, and faithfulness. Amen

Prayer:
Lord, preserve me by your mercy

Action Plan:
Write out scriptures that talk about this dimension of God.

Following Christ The Good Shepherd

Following Christ The Good Shepherd

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Recognizing and following Christ as the good shepherd is what will ensure you go in the right direction. And to follow, you need to trust.

Every sheep that will get the best from its shepherd must learn how to be still. Being still means to trust in the shepherd’s person, that he would never lead them to a place of danger or harm nor will he leave them in the face of trouble.

They trust him to take them to where the choicest grasses are and the cleanest of water is.

The Lord is my Shepherd. I have everything I need. He gives me rest in green pastures. He leads me to calm waters. Psalm 23:1-2 ICB

They follow behind him, and when he stops, they stop too. An obedient sheep knows to stay within the safe boundaries created by the shepherd.

It is not in the sheep’s place to teach the shepherd what to do but to watch, listen to and obey the shepherd at all times. This is what following Christ means.

Do you obey your parents at home? When they tell you not to do something because of the bad things that could happen to you, do you listen to them? Or you do as you like, thinking you know what’s best for you?

A sheep doesn’t know what’s best for it. Only the shepherd does. Are you a good sheep following Jesus as your shepherd? Do you obey Him by obeying your parent’s instructions? These questions will help you know if you are following Christ.

The most important question that you need to ask yourself right now is this—have you accepted Jesus into your life as your Lord and Saviour? If yes, are you obeying His leading? If not, do so today.

May the Lord make you a good sheep. Amen.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I believe you are the son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for me. I want to be a sheep in your flock. Please be my shepherd. In your mighty name, I pray. Amen.

Action point:
Work on your relationship with the good Shepherd.

Declaration:
The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.

More Ways To Glorify God With Your Body

More Ways To Glorify God With Your Body

Reading Time: 2 minutes

We are still on the journey of learning how to glorify God. Today, we will yet consider more ways to glorify God with your body; one way actually.

The way you eat.

Yes, your eating habit goes a long way to determine how you prioritize God.

Food is necessary, no doubt. We need it for our bodies to function well. Like fuel to a car, so is food for our bodies. The food you eat nourishes your body, helping it to develop as it should be. But how you eat and what you eat matters a lot.

As important as food is to you, not all food is nutritious for you. Yes, chocolate and ice cream are good, but they are not necessarily food and shouldn’t be consumed in large quantities and regularly.

Rather, eat food that will add the required nutrients to your body t aid you to grow both physically and mentally. Eat food that boosts your body’s ability to fight off diseases or sickness, so you don’t keep falling sick every week.

Don’t eat what will leave you fat, dull, and lacking energy. This could lead to depression at school or at home when friends or classmates make fun of you.

Over time, eating bad foods will affect our internal organs, which could lead to life-threatening ailments. You don’t want to put your parents in that situation, do you?

Eating well to nourish and build our bodies up is one way of keeping it holy for God.

The bible says our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Do you think the Holy Spirit would eat junk foods? Think about it!

You should know that your body is a temple for the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is in you. You have received the Holy Spirit from God. You do not own yourselves.

1 Cor. 6:19 [ICB]

May God give you the grace to eat nourishing and bodybuilding foods. Amen.

Action plan:
Watch what you have been eating. Reduce your intake of junk foods or stop it totally.

Prayer:
I receive grace to eat healthily.

Declaration:
I will eat healthy foods only.

Glorifying God With Your Body

Glorifying God With Your Body

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Having identified that we were created in God’s image in our last post, and that we have a responsibility to keep our bodies holy for Him, we will look at some practical ways to glorifying God with your body.

1. Be clean at all times.
Keeping your body clean is the first part. Your outer body is what people see, and the condition of your skin, hair, or face tells them a lot of how clean or dirty you are.

Nobody wants to come near a dirty person. Or would you stand beside someone like that? I doubt that.

Children, endeavour to take your baths in the mornings before you leave the house, when you get back from school or after any activity that leaves you sweaty.

Activities like when you finish playing football or running with your friends.

When you allow sweat to stay long on your skin, it forms bacteria that could lead to some skin conditions like eczema and rashes.

More importantly, always use a sponge and soap and scrub your skin very well, but not too harshly as you don’t want to have some mild bruises all over your skin.

Also take care of any skin conditions with the right medication.

I will also mention this; brush your teeth in the morning, and at night before you sleep.

Comb or brush your hair before you leave the house. Cut it also when due.

For girls, pack your hair neatly with a hairband or visit a hairdresser to make it for you. Keep your hair well oiled and neat.

Clean and trim your nails when due.

Wash your clothes not only when they are dirty, but also when they smell of sweat.

Ensure that your clothes are clean and smell fine. Iron them or plead with your parents to help you do so.

By now, you must be asking…How does doing all these help me be holy before God?

Looking and smelling good attracts people to you. When they admire you, they are indirectly praising God over you. That is how God is worshipped! That is a way of glorifying God with your body.

Looking and smelling nice could also make people listen to you when you tell them about Jesus. And when they finally accept Christ into their lives, you have won a soul into God’s kingdom by your appearance. Do you see how you are worshipping God in your physical appearance?

We pray that God himself, the God of peace, will make you pure, belonging only to him. We pray that your whole self–spirit, soul, and body–will be kept safe and be without wrong when our Lord Jesus Christ comes.

1 Thess. 5:23, (ICB)

May God bless you always. Amen.

Prayer:
Lord, I want to maintain a clean body lifestyle in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Action plan:
Look at your daily grooming routine. How good is it? Make plans to improve on it.

Declaration:
I will glorify God with my body.

How To Glorify God With Your Body

How To Glorify God With Your Body

Reading Time: 2 minutes

In this series, you will be learning how to glorify God with your body. Like you must have been taught in school, your body comprises both the outer and inner parts. From your skin to fingers to the liver, to the intestines, they all form your body.

These parts all have their functions and contribute to the perfect functioning of your body.

An abnormality in one of these parts can affect other parts and even lead to the breakdown of the whole body.

Each one of us has a body, and that body has many parts. These parts all have different uses.

Romans 12:4 ICB

Children, remember that the bible makes us to understand that you were created in the image of God.

Then God said, “Let us make man in our image and likeness…”

Gen. 1:26 ICB

There are few implications of being made in the image of God. Let’s consider them.

1. Your body should be safe and holy for God:
Your God is holy and only by being holy can you please Him

2. There are ways to keep your body safe and holy:
As a child, you will get to a stage in your life when you have to take care of your body yourself. Your parents won’t have to bathe you any longer or help wash your clothes again.

3. Taking care of your body is worship to God:
Worshipping God goes beyond singing praises to God. Your body is a gift from God, so take good care of it.

May God grant you the grace to glorify God in your body in Jesus name, amen.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, grant me the grace to understand why I should keep my body holy for you and help me do so. Amen.

Action point:
Have you been careless with the way you keep your body? Repent!

Declaration:
I keep my body pure because I am made in the image of God.

How My Children Can Know God’s Word

How My Children Can Know God’s Word

Reading Time: < 1 minute

In the beginning, was the word. The passage in John 1 verse 1 tells us to always have the word as our foundation. Children can know God’s Word. No matter what we want to do for our children, the word has to be the beginning of it.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:1

Our children must be made to understand that life outside the word is a life of crisis. At the beginning of their lives, they should be introduced to the word, who is God. Children can know the Word of the LORD.

They having a good relationship with the word will help shape their lives and prepare them for the times ahead.

Declaration:
My children know the word. They have a good beginning. Their foundation is set right.

Prayers:
My children will love God’s word in Jesus’ name. Amen

Giving As The Lord Commands

Giving As The Lord Commands

Reading Time: 2 minutes

God is love and he expresses that love by giving us his only son. And we should practice giving as the Lord, and giving as the Lord commands.
How easy did you think that was?

Giving unto God should come from a place of sincerity of heart, so that our gifts will be accepted.

The Holy Spirit, speaking through Apostle Paul, told us a mystery about giving.

He said the first thing to do when you want to give is to decide in your heart.

2 Cor 9:7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. (ESV)

Many people give out of sentiments or emotions. But don’t do that. You should practice giving as the Lord, and giving as the Lord commands.

Give cheerfully and joyfully. Joyful giving is another wonderful way of giving. It comes from your heart, especially when you see the amount of happiness you put on the faces of others.

The bible tells us to give with joy at all times. Not with grumbling or anger. But with intense joy.

God gives us with joy. He created the earth with joy in His heart. The bible tells us that while creating the earth, He kept seeing the things he was creating as good.

He kept creating out of the joy in his heart from seeing the wonderful things He was creating.

Be like God today, give with joy. As you bless others with joy, God will equally bless you too with joy. Learn the art of giving as the Lord, and giving as the Lord commands.

God bless you.

Prayer:
Lord, teach me to give with joy. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Action point:
When next you want to give somebody something, do so with much joy.

Declaration:
I am a cheerful giver. I give with joy.

Recognizing Jesus As The Only Way

Recognizing Jesus As The Only Way

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Recognizing Jesus as the only way is important. Imagine you want to reach a place and there’s only one way to reach there. Just one way to get there. You search the internet, look it up on the map, ask around, do all you can, but still can’t seem to find an alternative route. You can’t think of another way. No one can show another way and if they do, it’s the wrong way.

That’s the same way it is with Christ.

Look at the verse below

“Jesus answered him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one goes to the Father except through me.

John 14:6 [GW]

That was Jesus telling the disciples about how to get to know God. He means that only a person who has accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour can get to God and get to heaven. Recognizing Jesus as the only way is important.

Jesus was simply saying; you want to know the Father, you come through me. I am the P.A to the heavenlies. I am not just a way, I am THE WAY. I am not just a door, I am THE DOOR.

There is no other way. Any other way is the wrong way and it won’t get you to heaven.

Children, do you want to go to heaven? Do not listen to people who say there is another way to heaven. Recognizing Jesus as the only way is important. I like the way this translation puts it;

Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through me.

John 14:6 [ERV]

The only way to the Father is through Jesus, no other way.

Selah!

Have you accepted Christ as your Saviour?

Prayer:
Lord, Jesus, I thank you for being the only way to God. Thank You for making it so simple.

Action point:
Accept Christ into your life today. Tomorrow might just be too late.

Declaration:
I accept Jesus as the only way. He will lead me to the Father. Amen

Dear Children, Allow Jesus Into Your Heart

Dear Children, Allow Jesus Into Your Heart

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Dear children, when you hear a knock on the door, the natural response is to call out, “Who is there?” The person at the door, naturally, also replies, “It’s me.”

Either you like the person or not, you have to attend to them since you have responded.

Knocking on doors is indirectly asking to gain access into a place. Courtesy demands we don’t just barge into people’s homes without first seeking their permission, hence the need to knock. That’s rude.

“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.”

Rev.3:20

Dear children, Jesus stands at the door of our hearts, with nothing but love for us, asking us to please let Him. He eagerly wants to be a part of our lives so He can show us His wonderful and powerful love for us.

Just as we invite our friends over to visit or sleep over, Jesus wants us to do the same too with him. He wants to be our best friend who stays with us throughout the day. He wants to protect us, provide for us, and do much more than a human friend can do.

Do you hear Jesus at the door today? Is he your best friend? Will you open the door for him to enter?

Dear children, Jesus is waiting, eager to throw his arm across your shoulders and start chatting with you.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank you for finding my heart worthy of your love. I open my heart to you today. Please, come in. You are welcome. Amen.

Declaration:
My children are receptive. They accept the invitation of Jesus early in life and open the door of their hearts unto him.

How To Be A Good Friend

How To Be A Good Friend

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Dear young lad, you must learn to be a good friend. Lee noticed that Ben always stayed back in class during lunch break for some days now. Ben was his classmate and friend. Lee decided to speak to Ben today immediately after the lunch bell rang.

“Ben, where is your lunch pack?” Asked Lee.

Ben looked away and tried to smile but Lee saw that the smile was a fake one.

“I noticed you haven’t been coming to school with your lunch pack.” Said Lee. “Is there something wrong?”

Ben shook his head refusing to meet Lee’s probing eyes. “Nothing.”

“Will you share my lunch with me?” Offered Lee.

Lee remembered what the bible says about helping others in Galatians chapter six and verse two.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

Carrying each other’s burdens is a sign of true friendship because a friend should offer to help his friends when they have a need. Even if they don’t ask for help and you notice that they need help with something.

This is what Jesus says about helping our friends

John 15:14 You are my friends if you do what I command.

Don’t you like to be friends with Jesus? How about calling Him your best friend? Then do what He commands. Help your friends.

I pray that God will strengthen you in the area of helping your friends.

Prayer:

Lord, Jesus, thank You for the wonderful friends You surround me with. I pray that You make me a better friend. I want to be always ready to help my friends in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Action point:

Will you look round at your friends today and see what areas they need help with. You could also ask them what they need help with.

Declaration:

I am compassionate. I share what I have with my friends.

Teaching My Children Gratitude

Teaching My Children Gratitude

Reading Time: 2 minutes

“Teaching My Children Gratitude is what I must start doing,” Mr Alfred said to himself. Mr Alfred was the father of Taiwo and Kenny.

Taiwo and Kenny are twins. They both are returning to school.
Their dad gave Taiwo some amount of money for upkeep.
Taiwo was provoked, saying the amount was small.

Kenny, on the other hand, was given the same amount of money. He went flat prostrating, thanking his father.
He already mapped out how to spend the money, such that it will last him for the month.

That was how a master gave talents to his servants.
One he gave 5, to another 2, and to another, 1 talent.
I believe we know the story.

God expects us to be grateful first for everything we have through our parents or others.

He also expects us to do business with what he has his given is.

Don’t be like Taiwo and the ungrateful servant? Be like Kenny, who used his talents well.

Each had a reward? Which reward would you like to have?

The good –

“The master said, well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling the small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!”

Matt.25:23 (NLT)

The bad –

“To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.”

Matt 25:29 (NLT)

Be grateful for all you have and use them well. As a parent, say this to yourself: “Teaching My Children Gratitude Is My Responsibility.”

Prayer
Lord, I am grateful for my parents and all the people you have used to bless me.

Declaration:
I am a grateful soul. I make good use of what is given to me. Amen

My Children Know How To Worship God

My Children Know How To Worship God

Reading Time: 2 minutes

There is a very popular verse that talks about how to worship God. This is probably one of the most common verses in the scriptures. I am sure you must have heard it quoted by your Sunday school teacher from time to time.

What verse am I talking about?

It’s the last verse in the book of psalms.

Psalms 150:6 (KJV) Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

“Praise the Lord” is one of the most used sentences in Christianity. Used both by those who know the meaning and those who don’t.
It is used every service day in churches, every other time during family devotion, and as often as one can remember.

We sometimes get so familiar that it no more makes meaning to us. Just like we can get familiar with our parents and teachers and miss out on what God has packaged inside them for our profiting.

One of the meanings of the word praise is to “worship”.
So the psalmist is telling us to worship God.

Psalms 150:6 (TPT) Let everyone everywhere join in the crescendo of ecstatic praise to Yahweh! Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!

I love that!

The crescendo of ecstatic praise!

Children, as long as you have breath, you are expected to worship God.
Your duty is to reverence him and pay homage to him.
Do not join the group of those who complain, murmur, and grumble, rather, give God quality worship.

Do you know God destroyed an entire generation because they murmured?

1 Cor 10:10 (ASV)Neither murmur ye, as some of them murmured, and perished by the destroyer

Declaration:
My children are worship beings. They spend time worshiping the father. Amen

Prayer:
Lord, teach my children the mystery behind worship. Let their worship be always acceptable before you.

Action plan:
Take out time to worship God today.

Doing The Will Of God As Children

Doing The Will Of God As Children

Reading Time: 2 minutes

There is something called the will of God, which is usually divided into the perfect will and the permissive will. The best we should aim for is the perfect will of God.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Rom 12:2 (NKJV)

Children, let your mind be renewed. The best way to do this is by putting the law of God in your heart.

I delight to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart.”

Psalm 40:8 (ESV)

Children, to really enjoy God’s blessings and to align with God’s purpose for your lives, you must delight to do the will of God.

His will is not burdensome. He simply expects us to do as written in the word. Part of his will is to honor your parents.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord for this is right. “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment accompanied by a promise, namely, “that it may go well with you and that you will live a long time on the earth.”

Eph 6:1-3 (NET)

You must strive to always please Him in all ways. When you seek Him first, every other thing shall be added unto you.

But let your first care be for his kingdom and his righteousness; and all these other things will be given to you in addition.

Matt 6:33 (BBE)

Prayer:
My children seek to do God’s will. They put God first in Jesus name. Amen

Declaration:

My children delight to do God’s will always. They obey His dictates. They live to please Him always.

Action Plan:
Decide in your heart to do the perfect will of God.

My Children Have Good Friends

My Children Have Good Friends

Reading Time: 1 minute

My children have good friends. It is very simple. Your association matters a lot. The people you move with matter a lot. That’s just the truth of life.

The one who associates with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.

Proverbs 13:20 (NET)

It is the nature of man to always want to associate. God never made man live in isolation. No man can survive on his or her own. That is why your dad got married to your mum.

Same applies to your children. They always want to relate to the environment. As a matter of fact, it should be a source of concern for you if your child doesn’t relate with anyone. It should be a concern, really.

That being said, we ought to look out for the kind of association our children keep.
Let them know they can be deliberate and intentional about it.

Also, as parents, we should pray for them and their choices. Your prayers go a long way. Don’t be a careless parent. Always declare ‘My children have good friends’ to yourself and over the lives of your children.

Children, you should move freely with others in your environment. Nobody is an island. You need people to advance. Never think you can survive alone.

Walk with wise friends. Move about with those who are wise.

Also, talk to your parents about your fear. Don’t internalize. Talk to your teachers as well. Always learn to open up.

Don’t allow fear stop you from achieving your dreams. You must learn how to overcome fear.

My God Will Save When I Call

My God Will Save When I Call

Reading Time: 1 minute

My God will save! There is this confidence the psalmist speaks with every now and then. Such confidence is what we can learn and emulate.

But I will call upon the Lord to save me-and he will.

Ps 55:16 (TLB)

Did you just see that confidence from the Psalmist? It’s amazing. And you too should have it. My God will save!

No matter how deep seated the trouble may be, just tell yourself all I need is about 10-15 minutes of prayers to God.

The psalmist said he will call upon God to save. He was so sure that God will not only hear, He will answer and do his bidding.

Another lesson here is that we should realize God answers prayers. My God will save. In another part of the scriptures, the psalmist said;

I pray to you, and you answer from your sacred hill.

Ps 3:4 (CEV)

What is that issue you have been trusting God for for months?

Is it about your school results?

Is it about your parents?

Is it about your friends or their families?

Call upon God for salvation and he will save. My God will save!

Your part is to pray, God’s part is to answer and He sure will!

Like someone once noted; if there is a man to pray, there is a God to answer.

Parents, lets encourage our children to always pray to God. They should be taught how to grow their faith by petitioning God from time to time as need arises.

Let’s not wait till they become teenagers before training them.

May God help us all. Amen

Prayers:
Lord, answer me as I call upon you.

Action plan:
Call upon God today. Let him know your heart desires.

Declaration:
God answers me when I call upon him.

What are you saying to your neighbors? What are you saying to those around you?

Proverbs 12:14 MEV

Words are important to both genders, hence the need to use them wisely. The way you speak to those around you goes a long way. Speaking the right words is very important in life. How will you feel if someone constantly tears you apart with the words coming out of his/her mouth? Conversely, how will you feel if someone constantly encourages you with his/her words?

It has been observed that correcting children lovingly goes a long way to boost their ego.

Parents are advised and encouraged to use good words on their wards. Speaking positive words will help boost their confidence and increase their esteem.

Using harsh words when correcting children could negatively impact them. When necessary, let’s use complimentary words.

Learning to say thank you to our children when they run errands for us will go a long way to help their esteem. Yes, speak right words. Speaking the right words is very important in life.

Complimentary words make them happy and leave them beaming with a smile, eager to face the next task.

You Can Overcome Sin Little Children

You Can Overcome Sin Little Children

Reading Time: 2 minutes

You can overcome sin little children. This is what you should always have in your mind as you carry out your daily activities. Now what is the definition of sin?

Sin is the barrier that disrupts you from accessing God’s throne and His presence as you should. It is that one thing that blocks you from being with your heavenly Father.

In the old testament, the bible records that the temple had a place called the Holy of Holies where there was a veil covering it, but only the high priest could enter after he had undergone some cleansing rituals.

“But only the high priest could go into the second room, and he did that only once a year. He could never enter the inner room without taking blood with him. He offered that blood to God for himself and for the people’s sins…”

Heb.9:7 ICB.

After sinning, the enemy suggests to a person that God can never forgive, thereby encouraging them to run away from God.

If you allow the enemy to tell you that your shortcomings are so huge or terrible and that God can never forgive you, then you don’t know your God.

Your God is more than able to forgive your sins. He wants nothing more than to forgive you so that the two of you can be in a loving relationship constantly.

Never allow the enemy or anyone to tell you that God can’t ever forgive you. He gave Jesus for you. Jesus that was sinless to die for your sins that you may be called His son or daughter.

May God help you stay strong against sin. Amen

Prayer point:
Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for granting me access to the Holy of Holies. I am glad that God will always forgive my sins. Sin will not overcome me. I will not hide in shame. Amen.

Action Plan:
Stay away from all forms of sin

Declaration:
God will forgive me of my sins. I will not hide in shame.
