SINGLES – How To Survive Hurts And Disappointments

Continued from yesterday…

Forgiveness is releasing the offender in your heart only to discover you are freeing yourself. The offender or the person that hurt has moved on, and it is even probable he might meet Jesus along the way, retrace his steps and do well. It is you that must not resign to fate because of some past occurrences, let go and let God!

Why must you forgive hurts? God says so. You also want Him to forgive you anyway.

It will be too much to hold a person or persons in bitterness in your heart.  Free yourself and allow God who is the re-writer of history to rewrite your life. Allow God who can collapse years to recompense every lost year. Allow God who is the restorer to help you to the point that you will forget the shame of your youth!

Yes, he really hurt you. He jilted you. She deceived you. He pushed you into abortions. She eloped with your money. He raped you. Your cousin violated you. Your big sister abused you. Your father slept with you. Your house-help did this and that…the issues are endless…It has happened!

Don’t ostracize yourself like Mephibosheth to Lo-debar, a land of no communication because he was dropped by his caretaker and broke his ankles. Rather, allow God to make a message out of the mess. Allow Him to turn the mistakes into miracles. That is How To Survive Hurts And Disappointments.

Allow God to birth a dream out of the doom. Allow him to showcase you to the world that when He covers anybody with His glory, the shame and the embarrassments become a thing of the past, and the broken become masters at mending.

The first step is to forgive hurts. I pray for strength for you today in your inner man to let go. Some of you have bottled it for years and it has kept you captive like when a lion holds its prey at the jugular.

Don’t allow bitterness and strife to lock their jaws on you and keep you immobilized. If you need somebody to talk with to initiate the healing process, feel free to give me a call on +234 802 3507395. If I don’t pick up your calls, keep trying, I might be in a meeting.

Don’t just become a survivor. Become a forgiver!

It’s a new day for you!

You will succeed!

Your life will be a testimony!

You are blessed!

How To Survive Hurts And Disappointments

Practical Ways To Break Free From Soul Ties

Practical Ways To Break Free From Soul Ties

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Yesterday, we spoke extensively on the issue of soul ties. I explained how they are formed.

This morning, I will show you practical ways to break free from soul ties and mistakes of the past.

As singles, you should learn to put your body under. Your body ought not to dictate to you. Rather, you are to allow your spirit to gain ascendancy over your body! It is very possible to stay off a sinful lifestyle because the scripture is emphatic when it said, “Sin shall not have dominion over you.”

How do you break soul ties from past sexual mistakes?

1. Ask God to forgive you of the mistake

2. Repent and make up your mind not to do it again.

3. Fast and pray and ask God to severe every bonding and soul ties

4. Disconnect from such a person. Stop all the calls, chats, and pings.

5. Psalm 23 says, “He restoreth my soul!” Ask God to restore your soul

Did you miss out on yesterday’s devotional, we’ve got you covered. Kindly go HERE. For KHC video Devotionals, kindly go HERE

6. Stop living in sin. Jesus told that woman, “Go and sin no more!”

7. Patiently wait for the salvation of God in your relationship. Don’t be hasty. Cooperate with God’s plan.

8. Believe that God has a plan for you and that the plan will become a reality.

9. Keep reading and studying God’s word. Your mind will be renewed over time. For example, if you can follow this devotional consistently, your mind will be renewed in this area and you will get to know a lot of things and be prepared for marriage. A lot of people have testified to that.

I pray for you this morning that God will grant you more understanding.

Right now, I exercise my authority as God’s servant, I break every form of soul ties that may exist in Jesus name.

I destroy every plan of hell over your destiny, I declare you free from consequences of past mistakes and I ask in the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit, that your soul be restored now to God’s desire for you as an individual and in your relationship in Jesus name!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I am free because whosoever the son of man shall set free is free indeed!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
I destroy and severe every form of soul ties in Jesus name

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
“Or do you not know and realize that when a man joins himself to a prostitute, he becomes one body with her? The two, it is written, shall become one flesh. But the person who is united to the Lord becomes one spirit with Him.” (1Co 6:16-17, AMP)

Here’s Why You Cannot Just Fall In Love Carelessly

Here’s Why You Cannot Just Fall In Love Carelessly

Reading Time: 2 minutes

1. After emotional involvement, reasoning faculty becomes biased
After you fall in love with a person, the truth is that your reasoning faculty becomes biased in favour of that person, because of the deep feelings and emotional connection that often accompany the process of falling in love. If this is the case, it is wise then to be cautious about the person you fall in love with. For example, you want to be careful about developing a close friendship with an unbeliever, to avoid the possibility of falling in love with such a person. When you fall in love with such a person, you are going to close your eyes to the fact that such a person is not a child of God. You are going to turn a deaf ear to people around you who are warning you because you have fallen in love. So you see, you have to define your relationships.

One of the greatest humiliations one can be subjected to is in the hands of a wrong person you have fallen in love with but who is not in love with you! You will practically become a puppet, as it were, in the hands of a puppet master, wielding enormous power over your emotions, abusing you, and yet unable to disconnect…may you never be in that spot! It even gets worse when you become sexually involved with such a person and there are emotional ties. Have you ever being in a relationship with a person and everybody is warning you?

Your pastor calls you and says you are making a mistake. Your parents call you and warn you sternly about the person. Your closest friends call you and tell you something must be wrong with you. Deep down in your heart, even your conscience tells you that you are making a huge mistake. But you are in love…at such times, you really need to hit the pause button! Go and pray and ask God to help you. One of the ways you can pray is to first disconnect or distance yourself from that person so that your mind can be clear to pray.

I will conclude tomorrow.

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I will not fall in love helplessly

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Pray that God teaches you how to fall in love

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Proverbs 18:22 (NKJV) He who finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the Lord.

ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY
Review your relationship

Dangerous Myths All Singles Must Let Go

Dangerous Myths All Singles Must Let Go

Reading Time: 3 minutes

There are myths every single should disbelief. Let me show you some.

1. The reason I am not married is because I am not beautiful

You see, beauty is in the beholder’s eyes. When you truly meet your spouse, you will be beautiful to him however you look.

Why do you think you are ugly? It is probably because some people told you that. Well, that is their opinion. However you look, somebody will soon see you and tell you you are beautiful.

I always say humourously that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. You will be fearful (ugly) to some and you will be wonderful (beautiful) to others.

Psa 139:14 KJV
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

When you meet your spouse, you will be beautiful.

2. God is punishing me because of my past mistakes.

God never consults your past to determine your future. Let’s take a look at the scripture.

Heb 10:17 KJV
And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

God will not only forgive you, He will forget about it. He would erase it out of His records. And listen to me, what God has forgiven and forgotten, don’t let the devil who is the accuser of brethren hold you on it.

Here is what Message translation says:

Heb 10:17 MSG
He concludes, I’ll forever wipe the slate clean of their sins.

What God has concluded on, don’t allow the devil to add another paragraph. Where God has put a full stop, don’t allow anybody to change it to a comma.

3. A woman can never successfully submit to her husband

Submission to one’s husband is not a negotiation, it is an instruction from God. When you submit to your husband, you will bring yourself into a season of unprecedented favour, an unleashing of creativity and flowing in the fullness of God’s blessings over your life. Why? Because you are obeying God, even when it is not easy.

1Pe 3:1-2 AMP
(1) IN LIKE manner, you married women, be submissive to your own husbands [subordinate yourselves as being secondary to and dependent on them, and adapt yourselves to them], so that even if any do not obey the Word [of God], they may be won over not by discussion but by the [godly] lives of their wives, (2) When they observe the pure and modest way in which you conduct yourselves, together with your reverence [for your husband; you are to feel for him all that reverence includes: to respect, defer to, revere him–to honor, esteem, appreciate, prize, and, in the human sense, to adore him, that is, to admire, praise, be devoted to, deeply love, and enjoy your husband].

4. There is certainly a curse working against me.

Curses are real. But the liberation from curses is even more real! The devil is wicked, but God is loving.

Through the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, we have been redeemed from curses of the law. We have been made free. No devil should be allowed to lord it over you again!

Gal 3:13-14 MSG
Christ redeemed us from that self-defeating, cursed life by absorbing it completely into himself. Do you remember the Scripture that says, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”? That is what happened when Jesus was nailed to the Cross: He became a curse, and at the same time dissolved the curse. And now, because of that, the air is cleared and we can see that Abraham’s blessing is present and available for non-Jews, too. We are all able to receive God’s life, his Spirit, in and with us by believing–just the way Abraham received it.

I will conclude on these myths tomorrow. Don’t miss it.

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I am free from myths and wrong beliefs.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Pray that God will deliver you from known and unknown myths

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
“And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” (Rom 5:5, KJV)

ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY
Challenge every myth you know about marriage.

It’s A Passing Phase, Not A Parking Place

It’s A Passing Phase, Not A Parking Place

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Happy New Month to all KHC Partners and members. This month, the angel over this commission will avail for you in Jesus name.

The devil is a liar; you will get to God’s destination for your life

The devil only fights what he fears! Contrary to the common belief, that something is wrong with you when you have many challenges, it may actually be the opposite.

It may actually be that you have so many challenges because all is well with you!

Let’s take a look at Joseph first.

If it were to be today’s world, wouldn’t you want to recommend Joseph for a high-grade deliverance session? Wouldn’t you conclude that the man is cursed and the spirit of retrogression is fighting him? Wouldn’t you want to say that out of all his father’s son, he was the most unlucky, the black sheep of the family, the one that was rejected and hated, and so on?

But you need to understand that he was actually walking with God!

How can someone be sold into slavery and be moved to a strange town by his brothers? Wouldn’t you say that the household wickedness of his father’s house has finished him? Then he became a slave in Potiphar’s house but didn’t last long! He was soon in the prison. Was that not a retrogressive and stubborn demonic attack?

What about David? Anointed as a king in his teenage years but only sat on the throne at the age of thirty. Was that not a gang up of demonic delay against his destiny? Saul fought him to his last breath. Was that not royal hatred against him? Wouldn’t he need his head washed?

What I want you to see this morning, is that nothing was wrong with those guys, it was just a path they needed to pass to get to where God is taking them. You see all they went through was a passing phase and not a parking space!

Joseph could have missed it if he got depressed along the way but he kept on helping people and interpreting their dreams and one day, his gift made a way for him. David could have lost it with a bad attitude to King Saul, but he behaved himself wisely and he would not stop praising God!

So the most important thing in your going through to getting through is your attitude and your ability to refuse to react. It is your ability to refuse to park in your passing phase.

Nothing is wrong with you this morning. That is the word of the Lord to you!

I want to assure you this morning, that if you can do the following, your victory is guaranteed.

1. Stay away from sins, especially sexual sins
Joseph ran away from Mrs. Portiphar and refused to commit adultery! If he had compromised, he would have interrupted God’s counsel over his life

But Pastor, I already made mistakes. It doesn’t matter, if you can make up your mind from this point on, God will forgive and forget and He would see you as if you never made all those mistakes! That is where His grace comes in!

2. Forgive easily
Joseph was a forgiver. He refused to become bitter. That was evident when he eventually met his brothers. He was hurt, but he forgave!

3. Keep helping people
While he was in the prison, the last thing he should be doing was helping others, but he kept on helping people and one of the persons he helped remembered him later and became the person God used to organize him out of the prison! I say to somebody this morning, God will organize you into royalty!

4. Never retaliate or fight back
David never fought back at King Saul, and because of that God was there for him even when he made mistakes that could have cost his life.

5. Learn to praise God always
David was a crazy and unrepentant God-Praiser! It showed in everything he did, and God was always with him.

The list is not exhaustive, but if you can do the above, you will come out strong. That issue will not have the last say in your life. Your baby will come! I curse the spirit of barrenness in your life this morning! Your victory is sure. You will get married. God will honor His word in your life. Don’t back out on God, because you are actually close to what God wants to do in your life.

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I am a God praiser. I praise my way to victory. I will not park in my passing phase.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Oh God, give me the strength to navigate through the passing phase.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Gen 39:2 And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man, and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.

ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY
Carry out the above steps
