Who Exactly Is A Husband?

Who Exactly Is A Husband?

Reading Time: 2 minutes

COUPLES –

One of the meanings of ‘husband’ is ‘he that binds the house together’ He keeps the home, the wife, and children, and makes sure they are well taken care of.

Taking care of them is not just providing money for them, but being there for them, nurturing them, and connecting with them emotionally.

A father’s care is powerful. Most of the perverts and criminals we have in our society today are those that have been deprived of fatherly care.

Husbands, go all out in your love for your wives, exactly as Christ did for the church-a love marked by giving, not getting. – Ephesians 5:25 (MSG)

It is said that most husbands don’t understand the extent of grace and authority that God has bestowed on them as head of the house.

My Pastor once said jokingly but truthfully that the only husbandry we are taught in school is animal husbandry and that is why some husbands behave like animals at home.

There is no course in school titled ‘Marriage 101.’ Your school of marriage begins after collecting the certificate! Marriage is the only institution where you collect the certificate before the learning begins.

The Daddy comes home, and all the children plus the wife dive into different corners looking pious…

To be continued…

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I am a great husband. I love my wife like Christ loves the church.

Lord, grant me the grace to be a good husband to my wife and a great example to my children.

The Day Womenfolk Collided With Menfolk

The Day Womenfolk Collided With Menfolk

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Once upon a time, in the far far land of love city, the international association of fiancées and wives went to meet the king.

Their mission is to report the men folk for all their insensitivities and their logical ways of thinking which more than not has culminated into more confusion in relationships and marriage.

As they were going, the men folk heard about their plans. They quickly assembled themselves, ran after them and joined them in the ambitious journey.

There were arguments all through.

“You are so insensitive,” the women said.

“You are too serious for us, we want playmates.” The men replied.

“You never spend time with us, another lady bursted out, pointing particularly at her husband.”

“Where do we get the time to spend with you, when you keep asking for money everyday as we are the Central Bank? Won’t we go to work?” One newly married man said.

His wife, disappointed on hearing that retorted, “Ah you too, so you can talk? Was that what you promised me when you were begging and wooing me?”

“My fiancé called off our wedding plans three weeks to the wedding!” One young lady said.

“It is not only men that do that! One man said. Look at me, my wife-to-be left me for another man because I don’t have a car. But as I am looking at you, we can come together since we are victims of the same thing!” The man concluded, trying to seize the moment.

“I m sorry, you are not fine, you are not very tall, you have not even bought a car!” The lady replied.

“Is it wedding you want or car? I have three cars.” Another married man said.

His wife overheard him and shouted, “Ah, Mr Zerubbabel, touch any of my three cars and see if I would not tear you apart!”

The man felt embarrassed. But his friend replied the woman,

“But the cars were given to you as a gift by my friend, and technically, they are his cars!”

She does the hand sign, Dhooooor! Technically ko, Technology ni!”

“These women do not even respect us again,” one twenty-four year old guy said.

“Shut up there, you are not married, you are asking for respect.” His fiancee said.

The Kind of Husband Single Ladies Want To Marry – Part 2

The Kind of Husband Single Ladies Want To Marry – Part 2

Reading Time: 2 minutes

3. The Spiritual Husband

The spiritual husband will put the things of God first place. He takes charge of the family in the place of spiritual oversight and knows how to hear from God.

A man that doesn’t know how to hear God can make the whole family suffer because of wrong decisions.

Every day, a man is making decisions, but the consequences of his decisions go beyond him, they affect the whole family.

However, ladies don’t just want a spiritual husband. They also want a romantic husband.

4. The Romantic Husband

If he is spiritual but unromantic, he will be a bore!

Ladies would be like “Is it only Bible reading and speaking in tongues all the time? Going to the movies once in a while nko?

Ladies want a man that knows his onions when it comes to being romantic.

Every wife wants a man that can read the Bible but can also read their moods. They want a man who can interpret tongues and can also interpret non-verbal cues. They want a man who is sensitive to the Holy Spirit and is also sensitive to their needs!

Abi ladies, is that not what you want?

5. The Humorous Husband

Every lady loves her husband who can make her laugh! What is the point of frowning all over the house throughout the day?

Pastor, is it when there is no money that we would be laughing? Well, read your Bible very well.

At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh… – Job 5:22 (KJV)

Laugh about it and stop looking like Lucozade!

Make your wife laugh!

Those times when your wife is not really happy for whatever reasons, sometimes they themselves don’t even know why you should know what chords to strike that will tickle her.

If all you do is make that lady frown and sad, your relationship or marriage is at risk the day one colleague starts making your wife laugh!

You must know her password. You must learn her love language and learn how to deploy the words strategically to get her out of any pit of depression!

Laughter is like medicine! So, husbands, loosen up.

Guys in courtship, all this frowning all over the place because you are trusting God for money to get a house and settle down is not the way out. Get into God’s word, eat them and let it become a joy and rejoicing of your heart!

As you stay joyful, God will give you ideas that will bring more income, will favour you, and cause an in-flow of funds that will position you to experience God’s supernatural supply system!

I pray that God will give you more understanding!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I will go after wisdom. Knowledge is pleasant to my soul. I enjoy reading God’s word. Discretion will preserve me. Understanding will keep me.

PRAYERS FOR THE DAY
O Lord, flood my heart with the light of your word.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
And here’s why: GOD gives out Wisdom free, is plainspoken in Knowledge and Understanding. (Pro 2:6 MSG)

ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY
Start searching for knowledge of God’s word now.

The Kind Of Husband Single Ladies Want To Marry

The Kind Of Husband Single Ladies Want To Marry

Reading Time: 2 minutes

1. The Faithful Husband

Proverbs 20:6 (KJV) Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?

Most men will tell you all kinds of stuffs while toasting you, but where is really that faithful man?

A faithful man will abound with blessings. If you have a faithful husband, treasure him. If you have a man that will not cheat on you, you are blessed!

We are in a generation where ladies would open their legs without asking for it.

If you are unfaithful, if you are careless, if you have no self control, you will fry yourself alive!

See me, I have made up my mind o… there is no going back by the grace of God!

Making up your mind doesn’t mean you are boasting, it means you are consecrating yourself unto God and by His Spirit to stay true to His word.

I am an Ijebu man. We are very shrewd.

Which one weighs more? Your destiny or seven minutes of sweating and jacking up and down? Just asking ni o!

Enjoying yourself in the pleasure of adultery or fornication versus losing God’s favour and even losing heaven when you are unrepentant! Which one?

2. The Responsible Husband

The responsible husband will ensure his family is taken care of.

He would not spend money drinking around town while his kids are sent home for not paying school fees.

He would do all possible in God to ensure the best is provided for His family.

He is not lazy.

Every woman should pray for a responsible husband.

My heart bleeds to hear of many women who are breadwinners of their families, struggling to make ends meet because they are married to a man who is full of promises and talks but will never do anything.

Marrying a lazy man is an affliction in itself.
Before you walk down the aisle, watch it.

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I am led by the spirit of God. My feelings do not control me.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord, lead me to the rightful person for me

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY
Decide to follow God

O Lord, Where is Mr. Perfect?

O Lord, Where is Mr. Perfect?

Reading Time: 2 minutes

“I am really tired of praying to God”

“Hey, don’t say that, Susan!”

“I will say it again and again.”

“But why?  You are beautiful, you are active in church and everything seems to be going on well.”

“Na beauty I go chop?” Beautiful and yet husbandless at thirty-five?”

“God has a man for you”

“Where is the man? And when will the man come?”

“Just be patient and be prayerful.”

“Shebi, you are already married, cooling off in your husband’s home, with a romantic six-packed man to rest your naughty head on every night, while I am speaking in tongues alone on cold nights with no one in sight”

“Sister Susan!”

“Sister Joy!”

“What about Brother David?”

“It is you that will marry Brother David!”

“Ah! What happened to Brother David?”

“You came to church this morning in a Toyota Lexus right?”

“Yes”

“So, I should go and marry Brother David so that I can improve on all the trekking I have done in the last thirty-five years? So that my name can enter Guinness Book of Record for The trekker of all times, abi?”

“But my husband didn’t have a car when we married.”

“I don’t have that patience.”

“Ok, what about Brother Godwin? He asked you out and he has a car?

“That one? That bushman? He cannot even pronounce the name of his car well. He is out of it.”

“Brother James also asked you out. That one nko?”

“Brother James is too spiritual for me. He doesn’t know more than quoting Bible and praying in the Holy Ghost. I am not sure I will ever get to see a movie if I marry him.”

“Tee Boy also asked you out. He is not as spiritual.”

“Ah, that choir boy who has toasted every lady in church? He is too carnal for me.”
