Little Children, Learn To Do The Right Things

Little Children, Learn To Do The Right Things

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Hello, dear one let me tell you about a certain girl. In this story about Mirable, you should learn the value of doing the right things.

Mirabel, a six-year-old girl in primary four is a very intelligent child. She always comes out as the best student after every session. Her position as the best student has remained unchallenged since she was in nursery school. Mirabel isn’t only intelligent but she is also loved by everyone. Everyone wants to be her friend. At lunch, in school, everyone wanted to be at her table because she is so adorable and pleasant.

I am sure you also want to be like Mirabel, don’t you?

I didn’t also mention that she is a Christian, who acted accordingly, doesn’t tell lies or take what doesn’t belong to her. You will never hear her insult anyone or be rude to anyone. She is such a good girl.

That’s the secret of her excellent performance.

See what the bible says in Psalms 45:7

Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. – Psalms 45:7(KJV)

Let’s see a much simpler version

You love the right and hate the wrong. And that is why God, your very own God, poured fragrant oil on your head, marking you out as king from among your dear companions. – Psalms 45:7(MSG)

What this simply means is if you want to stand out amongst your peers as a child of God, you have to love doing the right things.

What are the right things?

  1. Honouring your parents and everyone around you
  2. Don’t be a liar
  3. Don’t take what doesn’t belong to you
  4. Read God’s word
  5. Pray all the time

These are very simple things that if you can be diligent with, God will anoint you with the oil of gladness and he will place you above your peers.

Prayer:
Lord, help me to do the right things; Amen.

Action point:
Ask the Holy Spirit for help

Declaration:
I chose to do the right things

What Is a Virtuous Woman? – 7 Characteristics – Part 2

What Is a Virtuous Woman? – 7 Characteristics – Part 2

Reading Time: 2 minutes

What kind of woman have we been studying?

Read on…

A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones. Pro 12:4 (KJV)

Piety

A virtuous woman respects and serves God first by deepening her faith, attending church, and actively serving the community. She honors and obeys the will of God in all things.

Patience

A virtuous woman is patient. She knows that God’s timing is perfect and will not rush Him. When faced with difficult circumstances, she trusts that God has a plan and waits patiently to see what He will do.

Kindness

Kindness is an attribute of a virtuous woman. She cares for those who are hurting or in need without expecting anything in return. A virtuous woman is gentle and patient with others and doesn’t allow her emotions to control her actions, but instead she remains humble.

Humility

A virtuous woman is humble because she does not boast or brag about her accomplishments. She does not compare herself to others and she is generous with her praise and compliments.

A virtuous woman is careful to remember that it is not about her, but that she has been given gifts in order to make other people’s lives better.

Diligence

A virtuous woman is diligent. She is not lazy or wasteful, but she works hard and looks for ways to improve. This characteristic of a virtuous woman is one that can be seen in all over the scriptures.

Gratitude

A virtuous woman is grateful. She is thankful for the things she has and knows that all good things come from God. A virtuous woman doesn’t take anything for granted and she gives thanks to God for her everyday blessings. She is not petty and demanding.

Love

Love is one of the most important qualities of a virtuous woman.
Many people think that love is a feeling, but it goes much deeper than that.
Love requires patience, kindness, humility, diligence, and graciousness. A virtuous woman who loves deeply understands the meaning of sacrificial love and lives it out in her actions to those around her.

Conclusion

A virtuous woman is a woman who is virtuous in every way. She has many different traits that make her who she is.

She is kind to everyone and never gets angry, even if she is wronged. She is humble and doesn’t always need praise. She has a strong personality, but knows how to stay calm when it’s needed.

What Is a Good Marriage: A Few Thoughts

What Is a Good Marriage: A Few Thoughts

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. – Heb 13:4 (KJV)

Marriage is an institution that has existed for thousands of years. It’s a union between two people who commit themselves to one another in the most intimate and personal way possible. The fact that it’s lasted this long suggests there is something about marriage itself that we value. But what, exactly?

Here are a few thoughts on what makes a good marriage.

A good marriage is based on respect

A good marriage is based on respect. Respect is a two-way street. It means that each partner respects the other person’s feelings and opinions, as well as their own.

This doesn’t mean that couples are never at odds with one another. Conflict is inevitable in any healthy relationship, but it should never be allowed to escalate into disrespect of one another.

The partners need to be open to speaking frankly with one another, while also listening attentively to one another and understanding the other person’s perspective or point of view.

Communication is key

It sounds very cliché, but it’s true: communication is key to achieving a good marriage. You have to talk to each other and work on the problems together.

There’s nothing worse than being married and not knowing what your spouse feels like because they don’t talk to you.

One of the most important aspects of a successful marriage is good communication.

There are many ways to communicate, but it’s particularly important for both parties to share their feelings and thoughts with one another.

For example, if one partner feels neglected and begins to withdraw from the relationship, it’s vital that they tell the other person how they feel.

Communication creates understanding and can help prevent problems before they escalate.

To have a good marriage, you need to be committed

The commitment is the key ingredient for a good marriage. Successful marriages are about two people who are willing to commit to one another and work together through the good times and bad times.

It’s also so important that both partners are committed to the relationship. If one person isn’t committed, then it could doom the marriage from the start.

A good marriage isn’t perfect

The first thing to keep in mind about marriage is that it’s not perfect. Even when two people are deeply committed to one another, there will be times where you disagree and times where you might feel unhappy. But with a good marriage, these disagreements are just part of the process.

In fact, research suggests that a marriage can grow stronger after a disagreement has taken place because the couple knows they have each other’s back. This type of relationship is better able to withstand the inevitable challenges life throws at it.

Marriage is work

Marriage is work. It’s not just a piece of paper you sign to make it valid. Marriage takes commitment and sacrifice – but the rewards are worth it.

You have to make time for one another

Marriage is all about commitment, and making time for one another is a big part of it. Too many couples put everything else in their lives ahead of their significant others. That’s not what marriage is about! You need to make time for your spouse or you will lose them.

Love is also an important aspect of a good marriage. If you don’t love each other, get divorced. Marriage should be about more than just living together and having kids. It should be about loving each other unconditionally and doing whatever you can to make the other person happy.

Lastly, take care of yourself as well as your spouse, do things that make you happy without feeling guilty!

This will help ensure that your marriage lasts longer because it won’t feel like a burden or obligation anymore.

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
My marriage is a blessing

PRAYERS FOR THE DAY
Oh Lord, do a miracle in my marriage today.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. – Heb 13:4 (KJV)

ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY
Put the above points to use.

Understanding Gratitude To God And Man

Understanding Gratitude To God And Man

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Ideally, when someone gives you a gift or offers a compliment, you ought to say thank you (that’s gratitude). Why?

Because it shows courtesy, that you are well brought up and not a country bumpkin.

Also, it’s a sacrifice on the person’s side. They decided to give you out of love or they saw that you needed something.

Even with a compliment, the person took his or her time to really look at you and decide to appreciate you for how you dressed, your hair, how clean your nails are, or how nice you smell. They noticed you.

The least you can say is thank you with a very genuine and friendly smile.

If someone pays you a compliment about how good your grades are, say thank you.

The Bible tells us to be thankful and that when we are grateful for what we have, we will receive more.

There are lots of people out there looking for who to notice them and would be grateful to just have one person say to them “you look good.”
Remember to say thank you the next time you get a gift or compliment.

God bless you. Amen.

Prayer:
Lord, I am grateful for all I have. Thank you for providing for my needs. Thank you for the compliments I have gotten and will get. Help me to always appreciate whatever I receive from others. Amen.

Action plan:
Consciously be aware of people’s compliments. Ensure you reply with a smile and “thank you.”

Declaration:
My children are grateful. They show appreciation in all they do.
