What To Do When You Don’t Know What to Do

What To Do When You Don’t Know What to Do

Reading Time: 2 minutes

In life and in our various situations and circumstances, there are times when our calculations fail us. We planned for certain things to work in certain ways but they end up not turning out the way we planned.

Every one of us hoped that our marriage will be ‘happily ever after’.  Every bride had such beautiful dreams as they walked down the aisle. After the wedding, our eyes are opened to a rude shock.

Most of the time, we never bargained for the speed breakers, the potholes, turnings, speed limits, traffic lights, and bends in marriage. Life just happens and we learn to cope with whatever comes our way.

Being a believer is so good because we know that the promises of God are yea-and yea Amen.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. – Rom 8:28

Even if our plans do change and things go in the opposite direction, Jesus is still Lord.

How To Get It Right In The New Year

How To Get It Right In The New Year

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Being a super couple, I have found out is all about getting it right Spirit, soul, and body. It is about being wholesome individually and extending it to yourselves as a couple.

As a believer, we know all things begin and end with God.

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.Pro 4:7 [KJV]

God has to come first, then, He gives you the needed strength, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to be all that you can be in 2020 and beyond.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.Mat 6:33 [KJV]

1. Worship

God demands to be worshipped, and that is the starting point. Let us learn to give our waking moments to God in worship, seeking His help, and looking up to Him as the Almighty.

Worship God because He deserves to be worshipped.

Worship also entails studying your bible and praying. Form the habit of talking to God about every detail of your marriage. Put God first and all will fall in place.

2. Understand your spouse

Know how to press the mumu key of your spouse. Understand your spouse. Seek to learn and know your spouse. There are things he/she likes and does not like. Know what your spouse cannot resist.

For some husbands, it is jeru trip. For some, it is good food. Understand your spouse’s love language and temperament.

It is foolishness to want to spend the rest of your life with someone and you don’t take time to study them.

In 2022, tell yourself no more foolishness. Be tired of fighting to have your way. It is time to become mature. Sometimes, we need to stoop to conquer.

For example, if your spouse is choleric, you don’t do power tussle with them. A choleric wants to be in charge, a phlegmatic needs gentle persuasion, a sanguine needs fun and a melancholy needs their love tank always full. Understand these dynamics and you are on your way to success.

3. Excellence

No one can resist an excellent spouse. Be an excellent communicator, be an excellent friend and companion, be an excellent provider, excellent support, be excellent in bed, be an excellent cook, be a better organizer, don’t be haphazard with managing the home and children, be an excellent dresser and stop being an embarrassment to your spouse.

In being an excellent person, you may be required to go out of your comfort zone most of the time to learn. Be willing to change, improve and learn better ways of doing the same things you used to do.

God bless your marriage!

To be continued tomorrow by God’s Grace.

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I get it right in my marriage.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Pray for the spirit of excellence

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Mat 6:33 [KJV] But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY
Worship God

BIBLE READING FOR THE DAY

My Children Know How To Worship God

My Children Know How To Worship God

Reading Time: 2 minutes

There is a very popular verse that talks about how to worship God. This is probably one of the most common verses in the scriptures. I am sure you must have heard it quoted by your Sunday school teacher from time to time.

What verse am I talking about?

It’s the last verse in the book of psalms.

Psalms 150:6 (KJV) Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

“Praise the Lord” is one of the most used sentences in Christianity. Used both by those who know the meaning and those who don’t.
It is used every service day in churches, every other time during family devotion, and as often as one can remember.

We sometimes get so familiar that it no more makes meaning to us. Just like we can get familiar with our parents and teachers and miss out on what God has packaged inside them for our profiting.

One of the meanings of the word praise is to “worship”.
So the psalmist is telling us to worship God.

Psalms 150:6 (TPT) Let everyone everywhere join in the crescendo of ecstatic praise to Yahweh! Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!

I love that!

The crescendo of ecstatic praise!

Children, as long as you have breath, you are expected to worship God.
Your duty is to reverence him and pay homage to him.
Do not join the group of those who complain, murmur, and grumble, rather, give God quality worship.

Do you know God destroyed an entire generation because they murmured?

1 Cor 10:10 (ASV)Neither murmur ye, as some of them murmured, and perished by the destroyer

Declaration:
My children are worship beings. They spend time worshiping the father. Amen

Prayer:
Lord, teach my children the mystery behind worship. Let their worship be always acceptable before you.

Action plan:
Take out time to worship God today.

How To Worship Without Distracting Others

How To Worship Without Distracting Others

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Remember we said that prayer is like a one-on-one session with God? It’s time alone with God and not open to anyone or anything to cause any distraction. Distracting someone in prayer is not cool at all.

So, when you see someone praying maybe during church service or not, it’s not the time to start distracting them. It’s not cool to make a joke then or nudge them to look at someone or something irrelevant or trivial.

Don’t tap someone who is praying and say “Hey, look at Tom’s torn jeans” or “See how messed up Susan’s hair is.” It’s really not cool to make jokes about people’s looks, clothes, or social status. And not even during prayers. And God doesn’t want you to do so.

When you do so, you are distracting them from God – you break their connection to God at that time. This prevents them from hearing or receiving a message from God at that time.

Just like you shouldn’t allow anyone or anything to break your focus during prayer, you shouldn’t do so to others too. Let them enjoy the same blessing you receive from praying to God. Don’t be a stumbling block in their path; stop distracting them.

Prayer is an important ingredient to any Christian’s life. It’s important in your life. May the Lord give you a heart of understanding. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Prayer:
Lord, I don’t want to be a stumbling block in the paths of people during their praying time; help me not to be distracting people. Help me to remain focused on You during prayer. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Action plan:
When next you feel the urge to talk to someone and make a joke during prayers, ask the Holy Spirit for help. And don’t do it.

Confession:
My children are true worshippers. They worship God in spirit and in truth. They will not be distracting others in their worship.

Worshipping God By Speaking in Tongues

Worshipping God By Speaking in Tongues

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Speaking in tongues isn’t just for praying alone as most people would think. As much as the Holy Spirit blessed you with this gift to pray to God, He also gave you the ability to worship God by singing and speaking with the same tongues.

You can be speaking in tongues and be worshipping God with it. Have you ever heard adults in church saying people should worship God in another language, our heavenly language? You see, it is something that the Spirit of God empowers believers to do – not just adults, but children also.

While worshipping God in tongues, the Holy Spirit can magnify it for you and lead you to start singing in tongues as well, as worship to God. You may not know what you are singing, but you shouldn’t be bothered by this because God knows what you are singing. You are not singing rubbish; no you are not! You are only worshipping God in the language of heaven and all heaven is dancing along with you. How amazing is that? Angels dancing as you sing; very amazing.

The benefits of doing this are, worshipping God in tongues takes the burden of constructing words for worship. You also, won’t need new words to worship God with because you are speaking or singing in a language that is divinely renewing itself. Unlike using an earthly language that everyone knows what a word means. A heavenly language can mean so many things at different times. The third thing about it is that it helps you keep your focus on God.

Hallelujah! May the Spirit bless you with a massive gift of tongues to worship the King of kings. Amen.

Prayer:
Lord, give me a stream of tongues that I may release my worship through them to you. I want to sing songs and worship in tongues to you. In Jesus’ name, I ask. Amen.

Action Plan:
If you have the gift of tongues, use them to sing to God. If you don’t, find someone to minister it to you. or ask the Holy Spirit for it.
