Wisdom From The Proverbs 31 Woman

Wisdom From The Proverbs 31 Woman

Reading Time: 2 minutes

The Proverbs 31 woman is certainly a superwoman; I used to think no woman can beat her record. Sometimes I used to feel like it is impossible for one person to have it all figured out as she does. Then, there was a time I just concluded that it cannot be a real contemporary woman of our time.

At another time, I didn’t like to read about the proverb 31 woman because she showed me how inadequate I was. All these different emotions and thoughts went through my mind at different stages of my twenty-two years marriage experience.

Now, I think I am wiser and more secure. When I read Proverbs 31, I read with the mind of; ‘it’s possible, let me glean wisdom, work and walk towards becoming better.

Here is wisdom to glean. Please do read through proverbs 31.

1. She is 100% committed to her husband’s vision.

We are to reorder our steps if you love your kids more than your husband. The right order is to be 100% committed to your husband. You have a covenant responsibility towards him. You are to care for your children.

2. She watches and prays over her entire household like Mother Hen.

Be like a watchdog. We have a male and female Caucasian dog, and it is amazing that it is the female that is always barking and restlessly watching the gate. Why? Because of her puppies, she has her little ones to protect.

3. She makes a giant out of every dwarf that lives under her roof. She also does not dim people’s star

She brings out the better of everyone, not only her children but everyone that comes in contact with her.

4. She invests more than she spends. Nothing diminishes in her hands. She is too busy-minded.

Don’t be a consumer alone. Don’t be a CAN (Consumer Association of Nigeria). Try and create wealth, produce something, multiple things. Do business.

5. She is hard working. No room for idleness or gossip.

Being a woman is not synonymous with being a gossip. Be productive, use your time wisely. If you are not caring for the children, be tending the home, care for your husband, pray in tongues for creative ideas, a woman has her plate full, there is a lot to do. Make no room for gossip.

6. She fears God, serving faithfully, tithing dutifully, assisting the less privileged.

She takes her services to God seriously. She knows that God is at the center of everything and he is the one that holds it all together.

7. She does not refuse her Husband Jeru trip for whatever reason.

She is fully aware that Jeru trip is a core course at the university of marriage. She does everything, yet does not neglect and take with levity her roles and duties.  She doesn’t fail in her core course.

I will continue tomorrow by God’s Grace.

May God bless our marriage

How To Win Your Husband Over With Your Words

How To Win Your Husband Over With Your Words

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Has your husband ever told you that you are not talking to him well? It is either he says you speak in a disrespectful manner or you are not just logical.

My own husband used to tell me that often. I used to wonder how best to speak to him. My own husband is very, very intelligent, coupled with the fact that he is a strong choleric. You really have to make a lot of sense to get his attention.

To prove a point is a very bad move because it will not just work. So I quit trying to make a point.

I discovered a secret that has helped me and I believe will help every woman out there. I am not talking about remote controlling your husband to do as you say, but to have regards for what you say.

Your husband will respect what you say more when your words are weighty and carry power.  You know in the world, the wives do charms so that their husbands can listen to them. But we believers have the real thing.

Did you miss out on yesterday’s devotional, we’ve got you covered kindly go HERE. For KHC video Devotionals kindly go HERE

I am not talking about native intelligence or academic prowess. I am talking about possessing the spirit of wisdom and understanding that comes from God.

And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake. – Acts 6:10

See it in the Amplified version

But they were not able to resist the intelligence and the wisdom and [the inspiration of] the Spirit with which and by Whom he spoke. – Acts 6:10

It is possible to possess such intelligence and wisdom that your husband will not be able to refuse you, shut you up, or won’t listen to you.

You don’t have to be manipulative with your words, no auto planning, no rehearsals before speaking.

The fact has been established that you can speak with intelligence. But how can one come to the point where you have such a spirit?

You cannot learn it from school or from your parents or mother. What was the secret of Stephen? He was full of the Holy faith and the Holy Ghost as recorded in Acts 6:6

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. So Stephen was a man dedicated to the study of the word of God and prayers.

When you give yourself to the study of the word of God and you become controlled by the Holy Spirit, you will possess an intelligence that will be beyond your age.

You will speak with much grace and power. You will not be forceful or manipulative but your words will be gracious. The Holy Spirit will give you insight and foresight.

You will advise your husband and your advice will turn out the best decision. By the next time, he will seek counsel from you. He will disregard your words and treat your words with levity. He will come to respect you and honor you because of your intelligent words.

This is what my mentor possesses and that is what I am getting. I am giving myself to the study of the word and to prayers.

I have made up my mind to go for wisdom in words and in deed, so that I will become relevant and impact my generation. You too can take on the journey of being full of faith and the spirit of God.

God bless your marriage

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I am full of wisdom and the spirit.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Pray for the spirit of wisdom

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Acts 6:10 [KJV]And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.

ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY
Take out time to pray in the spirit

Here Is What It Takes To Build A Home

Here Is What It Takes To Build A Home

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Here Is What It Takes To Build A Home. There is a popular scripture I love so much. It is in the book of proverbs

Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands. – Pro 14:1

From this scripture, it is seen that the building of homes is directly the responsibility of the woman. But not just any type of woman, the woman has to be wise. It takes wisdom to build.

So that means there is wisdom to build, and there is the foolishness that plucks down or tears down. How is this wisdom acquired? If it just read a woman, we will know that once you are born a female, then you automatically possess this wisdom to build.

That means there are some women who do not have the wisdom to build their marriages and homes. There are no two ways to do it. It is either you are building your home or you are tearing it down. There is no middle way to it.

Did you miss out on yesterday’s devotional, we’ve got you covered kindly go HERE. For KHC video Devotionals kindly go HERE

If you have wisdom, then you have it and if you don’t have it, you don’t have it.

The question we need to ask ourselves is; am I a wise woman?

The bible gave us the blueprint of asking for wisdom. We have a right to ask God for wisdom

My mentor told me how she will go about eating Suya and one day, a car almost hit her. The incident was reported to her husband who out of anger said she was behaving stupidly.

She felt slighted and offended. She talked to the Holy Spirit about the matter, and the Holy Spirit confirmed what her husband said. The Holy Spirit told her she is not only stupid but also foolish and not operating in wisdom. She was shocked at this and almost couldn’t believe her ears. She then decided to ask God for wisdom.

Until you consciously ask God for wisdom, don’t assume you have wisdom. Until you can say for sure when you were given wisdom by God, don’t assume you have wisdom.

My mentor prayed for wisdom for six months, every day for 3 hours. No wonder she had an encounter with the spirit of wisdom.

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. – Jas 1:5

We have to ask and keep on asking. There are over 223 scriptures in the Bible where the word wisdom appears. We can take one aspect of wisdom and pray it into our life.

There are different aspects of wisdom. There is wisdom to deal wisely in the affairs of life. Wisdom is worth praying for because if you don’t have wisdom, you are left with foolishness, and foolishness tears down.

May we not out of foolishness, tear down that which we have built.

May God help us!

God bless our marriage in Jesus name.

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I love my spouse wholeheartedly.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord, give me the wisdom to build my house.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

How To Embrace Wisdom For Your Marriage

How To Embrace Wisdom For Your Marriage

Reading Time: 2 minutes

There are certain rules that govern the affairs of any successful marriage. These rules or laws can be applied by any person. That is why someone who is not a Christian can have a good marriage if she/he applies these rules. That is the secret of some of our old parents who despite all, kept their marriage.

Wisdom such as

* When angry don’t talk.

* Calm down and don’t overreact

* When one person is angry the other person should try and keep calm

* A soft response always saves the day.

* Good food is the way to a man’s heart

All these are natural wisdom but have their root in biblical truths.

Let’s check out two of these biblical facts and truth.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Gal 5:16 [KJV]

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Rom 8:1

It is actually in the marriage that you can practice walking in the spirit the most. That’s why it is said that marriage is for the spiritual and the matured.

Did you miss out on yesterday’s devotional, we’ve got you covered kindly go HERE. For KHC video Devotionals kindly go HERE

When we say you should be spiritual, it is for your good and for the good of your marriage.

Man has no original thoughts. Every thought is either from the devil or from God. When you are spiritually minded, you mind the things that pertain to God.

If you are carnally minded, you mind the things that pertain to the flesh. So you walk in the flesh when you give mind to the thoughts of the flesh.

For example, your flesh wants to curse, fume, and fight back when you are abused and pushed to the wall. Your flesh wants to fight to finish and have to last word.

Whereas, when you are spiritually minded and led by the spirit of God and yield to the dictates of the spirit, you want to do things that are contrary to what your flesh wants you to do.

It is actually wise to be controlled and allow yourself to be influenced by the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit dictates to us how to live and we yield to Him, we experience peace and joy. He makes all things work together for our good.

When the Holy Spirit leads us to pray instead of talking back in anger, when he tells us to smile back at our spouses’ rude response, when we find the strength to labor out of love and not out of annoyance etc then God can work on our behalf to give us a miracle in our home and marriages

May God give us the strength to always yield and listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit in our marriages.

God bless our marriage!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I walk in the spirit and so I do not walk according to the dictates of my flesh

PRAYERS FOR THE DAY
Lord, help me to continually follow after your voice in Jesus name

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY
Walk in the Spirit
