We all have seeds to sow in our marriage at every point in time.
God will never leave any man without a seed. Seed is the only influence we have to change our tomorrow.
God used the principle of seed time and harvest. The whole world we see today started with just one man and one woman but today we have billions of men and women who have lived on the face of the earth.
If you have the seed(s) and you recognize the seed you have, you can change your future.
Everyone married has seeds and we have to see them and put them to use or sow them. Having seeds is useless if it is not planted. It abideth alone, so says the scriptures.
Two Seeds To Sow Into Your Marriage
1. The Seed of Time:
Every one of us has the gift of time. The people whose marriages are blissful have 24 hours and those whose marriages are troublesome also have 24 hours. The question is: what are you doing with your time?
You cannot be partying around and expect your marriage to come out better than those who give attention to their marriage. How much time in 24 hours do you give or dedicate to your family, after God?
Your marriage is like a garden. If you want a good garden, you have to spend time tending it. How much time do you spend together to talk about yourselves and get to know each other more? You have to sow the seed of time in the right direction to reap the right harvest in your marriage.
Two Seeds To Sow Into Your Marriage
2. The Seed of Words:
We all can speak. We all have the gift of words but what are we saying in our marriage?
Pro 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
By using their tongues negatively, some people have literally destroyed their marriages. Some curse their spouse and with their own hands have pulled down their marriage.
They destroyed the wealth of their husband and made the creativity of their wife nonsense by their negative tongues.
Some of us don’t curse but we also don’t bless our marriage and our spouse. We should consciously bless (speak good things about) our marriage and spouse.
Even when things are not working as they should be or your spouse does not know the Lord as he/she should, that’s the best time to continually declare God’s word over them.
God used the same principle
Gen 1:2-3 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
He spoke when the earth was without form and void. He spoke about what He wanted to see.
A man of God said in his book that God spoke to him one day, “My people are busy saying what they can see, what is happening, instead of saying what they want to see”
You have to say what you want to see. Then in time, you will have what you say
Mar 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
May God grant us understanding.

Some years back, my wife and I addressed hundreds of teenagers in a particular meeting. It was amazing at the kind of questions those little ones asked. Some of them were as young as eleven years old. They asked about gay marriage, sex, masturbation, and so on.
Some of those questions you wouldn’t think a thirteen-year-old would ask. But you see, it is obvious that a ten-year-old child today is no longer as innocent or as unexposed as a ten-year-old some twenty years ago. Things have changed, and that rapidly too.
One of the conclusions drawn for those young ones is that there is no point in experimenting with what would fail. Life is about what you sow!
You cannot fool God, so don’t make a fool of yourself! You will harvest what you plant. (Gal 6:7 CEV)
This is so simple yet so profound. You will definitely reap whatever you sow; someday, somehow. You cannot reap what you did not sow. It is like putting potatoes on fire and expecting to eat a dinner of fried rice and chicken. It does not happen that way!
Some people are busy sowing wild seeds into their marriage and they expect to have a happy married life. People sow into the flesh; they follow the dictates of their fleshly appetite. They get involved with all manner of sexual activities and impurities, yet they expect all to be well in their marriage. If you are thinking of cheating God in this way, you are very much deceived. God CAN NOT be mocked!
Each time you sow bad seeds into your marriage, something dies in the marriage. When you sow to the wind, you usually reap the whirlwind. Some others do not necessarily sow sexual sins in their marriage, but they sow anger, bitterness, strife, oppression, pain, and unforgiving spirit.
Some commit adultery and expect their homes to be peaceful. It is impossible! You cannot be messing around with teenage girls and expect your children to be blessed. Someone somewhere will defile your daughters too…

PRAYERS FOR THE DAY Heavenly Father, I ask you to forgive all wrong actions and wrong seeds sown into my marriage.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, (Gal 5:19 KJV)
ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY Write out all the good qualities you admire and desire in your marriage. Begin to sow them into your marriage.
Poverty is not your portion! Lack is not part of your redemptive package!
Your prayer should be that God should help you obey Him in giving and other instructions.
For constant financial blessings, there are seeds that must be in the ground. It is a universal law that will never be broken as long as you see day and night.
While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. – Genesis 8:22 (KJV)
You can break the back of poverty with your seed and your confession, not just with prayers.
So, your prayer should be that God should give you a heart that gives and obeys God promptly. Always listen to what He has to say and do it.
You should reject poverty with every fibre of your being. Refuse to accommodate flashes and pictures of lack and insufficiency!
The devil likes to flood your mind with images of lack and insufficiency. Passionately refuse, reject and divorce those images. Rather, fill your mind with God’s word about increase and prosperity and that becomes your experience.
4. Mediocrity
We serve an excellent God and we are to do things excellently!
God loves excellence.
There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky. – Deu 33:26 (KJV)
He is an excellent God! Everything you do should be done, not with the least energy but with all you have, surpassing expectations and going before the norm.
Oh, when you have that excellence perspective, nobody can just slide into your skirt or trousers! No way!
That excellent spirit abhors chaos, disorder and gate crashing! When a guy wants to gate crash, the excellent spirit in you will not allow such invasion!
Mediocre spirit accommodates nonsense and every kind of violation! Mediocrity celebrates generosity of one’s body!
An excellent spirit births a strong self esteem that makes you secure in who you are in God!
Say with me, “I have an excellent spirit!
May God grant more understanding.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY Pray against the spirit of delay.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
We all have seeds to sow into our marriage. It is a fact that we all do not have seeds like money, for example, to sow into our marriage but we all have ‘time and words’ to sow into our marriage. No one is left without seeds. Everyone can always change their marriage for the better.
1. The seed of kind actions
You married your spouse because you at least liked who they were as a person. There must have been at least one thing you admired about your spouse. We all have the capacity to do kind things to and for our spouses. Those kinds of actions are not ordinary. They are the seeds God has given us to deploy in our marriages.
I Cor13:4-13 talks about the attributes of love and the fact that love never fails. If your spouse is behaving in a selfish manner, you choose to put the power of the seed to use and influence your marriage in a positive way.
Love is always supportive, loyal, hopeful, and trusting. – 1 Cor 13:7 [CEV]
A miracle happens when we sow our God-given seed. But remember, our seed is only powerful when it is sown. So be a seed sower in your marriage. See your kind actions not as mere actions but as your seed and your God-given influence over your marriage.
2. The seed of Prayers
Another seed we have is our ability to pray. If we viewed prayers as receiving help from God, it will help us to stay committed to the power in prayer.
Prayer is going to the throne of Grace to obtain help.
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. – Heb 4:16 [KJV]
We all need help at one time or another in our marital journey.

There are times we just don’t seem to be able to hold on any longer or we don’t just seem to know what more to do. When we pray, we bring God into our situation. God answers us in different ways. He may not answer us the way we want to be answered, but we have His promise to answer us.
He may give us the wisdom to handle the situation, patience to hold on, or strength of character to do what is right.
There are such untapped powers in our prayers especially if it is for our marriage.
3. The Seed of Hope
Our hoping for the best and not giving up on our marriage or spouse is important. This is the power that holds all other seeds we have or decide to sow together.
We have hope, and that is why we can sow whatever seed we have. Not giving up on your spouse is needed.
God wants to see our hope alive. So whatever we do, let us not forget to always keep our hope alive. God can restore the most difficult marriage. God can intervene and give us a miracle but we have to keep hope alive.
Let us keep sowing our seeds and know that we will reap a rich harvest if we faint not.
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. – Gal 6:9 [KJV]

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY 1 Cor 13:7 [CEV] Love is always supportive, loyal, hopeful, and trusting.
The Seed Of Joy was taught by Rev. Dunamis Okunowo on the 5th of December 2021 at Shouts of Grace Center, Joke Plaza, Beside Trans Amusement Park, Bodija-UI Road, Ibadan.
In his teaching, Rev. Dunamis made mention of the following important points:
Joy is one of the ways that the Kingdom of God is described.
For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

And in Mark 4:26-28, the Bible likens the Kingdom of God to a seed.
And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.

Therefore joy is a seed. Joy is a seed that will surely produce when you plant it.
What the joy of the LORD brings to you is beyond money; the money is simply the manifestation of the joy. Your money is in your joy. Your breakthrough is in your joy.
Learn to give expression to your joy – you can laugh it, jump it, shout it, etc.
If you can freely be sad; why can’t you choose to be freely joyful.
Joy can turn any situation around. Joy releases miracles.
God wants you joyful.
Stop waking up on the wrong side of bed; Learn to wake up on the joy side of the bed.
For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap [their] hands.
Isaiah 55:12 (KJV)
You shall go out of 2021 with joy, not in pain, agony or losses. Irrespective of what the story has been so far, you will step out of 2021 with joy.
Heaven is full of noises.
Fight everything that wants to make you depressed, sitting down in despondency, etc.
Inside your joy is everything you are believing God for.
When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.
Psalm 126:1-2 (KJV)
It was the filling of the mouth with laughter that caused their captivity to be turned around!
