Have you ever wondered what God’s Word will do for you? Alright, start by thinking about what a lamp does? It gives light to a dark area, right? Dark areas are beyond the physical dark places in your environment that require you to switch on the light or use a torch to see.
The unseen dark areas of your life include the times when you are unsure of what to do out of maybe confusion, fear, or pressure.
While in these dark places in your heart and mind, you need light and not a physical light but the light of God.
Divine light instantly lights up everywhere, driving out shadows and making you see well. This divine light is God’s word, the bible.
The psalmist in chapter 119 and verse 105 acknowledges what God’s word does for him.
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” – Psalm 119:105
This shows that with God’s word as your light, you won’t lose your footing. You won’t fall into any form of sin, fear, confusion, or bow down to any form of pressure from anyone to make you commit a sin. And even if you happen to want to fall, His word will still help you not to fall.
His word won’t let you fall for they will lighten up your path. They will give you an understanding of any situation you are facing at school, home, or anywhere.
His word will teach you how to handle the situation. He will guide you on what to say, do, or how to act.
God’s word is very powerful. Able to guide, teach and save you from any challenges you might have. His word is also able to show you how you could have managed past problems.
This way, when such situations rise up again, you already know how to handle them.
Remember this verse when you seem not to know what to do. Go into God’s word and let his light keep your feet firm and your path bright.

Matchmaking Comments and Prophecies
Comments from friends, family and those you respect and look up to should not be allowed to constitute pressure in your relationship, especially when they are contrary to your personal convictions.
Your decisions should always be influenced by what God says; follow His directions alone!
People may tease you on how good you and someone could be together; they may say you’d make a perfect couple. Do not be influenced against your personal convictions. Pastoral, parental and friendly match-making should serve only as confirmations.
Do not yield to prophetic manipulations or some prophecies. The Bible says woe unto prophets that say that God said something He didn’t say.
No prophet or man of God has any business choosing a spouse for you. It is your responsibility to do that. God may use them to guide, confirm, instruct and advise, but not to choose or impose anybody on you. That is not the purpose of anointing. The anointing is to break yokes and lift burdens, not to add it into people’s lives!
As singles, you should stop taking names all over the place; you will get more confused at the end of the day.
In the first place, you are not supposed to have more than one name! What you should also know is the at most of these prophets are hungry, so they will always have something to say!
Stop looking for directions and wasting your money all over the place. God’s order in the New Testament is not to start seeking direction but to develop a good relationship with God, His word and His Spirit wherein you can hear God clearly and by yourself.
Men of God are to teach, instruct, correct and confirm!
Some of these things border on manipulation and witchcraft where specific directions are being sought all the time. You almost would have to take permission on when to sleep with your spouse in marriage! That is not in the Bible!
Everyone has a responsibility to learn to hear God. It is the greatest blessing you have in life.
I pray over your relationship that God will open your ears and hearts to hear Him clearly and explicitly. He will do a new thing and He will make all things new in Jesus name!
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I am filled with God’s wisdom.
PRAYERS FOR THE DAY Lord, strengthen me against any pressure in Jesus name.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Eph 5:23 MSG The husband provides leadership to his wife the way Christ does to his church, not by domineering but by cherishing.
Tonight wasn’t a good one for Angie. The sublimity of the night couldn’t reach her soul. The night was calm and rested, but the tranquility of the night was a far cry from the turbulence and storm raging in her heart. She has just been jilted, after offering several sexual escapades. The pain in her heart was deep, the lacerations within her elicited endless tears that cascaded down her powdery face, to the very foundation of her makeup.
Only one person can assuage the waters of agony meandering in her soul and that is her dad. She called him severally, but to no avail. She knew if she could just reach her dad, his deep words from his deep voice will lift her soul from the pit of regret.
In the same way, there is something God has given us that if we can just reach out to that in our moment of troubles, tests, and trials, we will always be bailed out. And that is God’s word!
God’s word is powerful. As a single or married couple, you should surround yourself with that word. Listen to tapes, read books, read it online, hear it in church, and by all means, keep feeding your inner man. Your success and stature in life are predicated on your studious habit of God’s word.
And don’t for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you’ll get where you’re going; then you’ll succeed. (Joshua 1:8 Message)
Do you know that some of the frustrations that you are going through right now as a single or married couple can be terminated by God’s word? Do you know that some of the greatest questions in your heart right now can be answered when you read and study God’s word?
Do you know that some of the greatest puzzles and enigma in your heart can be dissolved by God’s word? Do you know some of the hidden things that seemed oblivious and far-fetched can be unraveled and brought to the fore by God’s word?
May God grant you more understanding!
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I am a student of the word. I do this one thing passionately.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY Ask for the grace to do this one thing
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Josh 1:8[NET]This law scroll must not leave your lips! You must memorize it day and night so you can carefully obey all that is written in it. Then you will prosper and be successful.
ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY Decide to do this one thing
Every marriage will go through its season when the wind will go contrary and the storm boisterous. Whether you are an unbeliever or a pastor, bishop or circumference bishop we will all go through that dark season.
Thank God it is only a going through. We are meant to pass through it and come out stronger, better and bigger. The season is not meant to swallow us or swallow our marriage. The test of commitment to each other and to the marriage covenant is known here.
It is in this season that whether our love for each other is unconditional or conditional is tested. Whether we will stay with each other for the long haul or whether our faith in the God of the marriage will dwindle.
It is here that the believers have to hold on to the Word of God, To His promises. This claiming God’s promises is not a once and for all thing. It took the family of Abraham and Sarah standing in faith for over 20 years for the promise to be fulfilled. The same with David and Joseph.
Bible says we should hold on to the profession of our faith.
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) – Heb 10:23
The reason why we should hold fast is because He is faithful that promised. We hold on not wavering because we will reap if we faint not.
What each marriage will face will be different. But standing on God’s promises and declaring His word is common to all. It could be a health challenge, financial difficulty, issue of work, business or career, children issues, spiritual issues or emotional challenges.
For any of these issues that combat the marriage, we have to stand strong knowing that God is faithful to bring His promises to pass in our lives. We have to keep the promises in our mouth because the miracle is in our mouth. We release the miracle by speaking it out loud, in the face of any contradictions.
We must use the covenant we share of one chasing one thousand and two putting ten thousand to flight to resist any onslaught of the enemy. We should also use the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ to resist the lies of the enemy.
The blood of Jesus, the name of Jesus, the word of God, the communion, and speaking the Word out of our mouth to defeat whatever the enemy brings our way.
We are meant to face and resist our challenges just as David faced Goliath. The challenge seemed insurmountable but David knew well that the Word of God never fails. Whatever he says, He is also able to fulfill it.
So I want you to be encouraged. You have to also learn to encourage yourself in the Lord. Fight the good fight of faith.
Whatever you may be facing, the main attack is your marriage. Let me make you know this, ‘The Devil Is After Your Marriage’.
The main bone of contention is your marriage. He is scared of your marriage. He is scared of the power of unity you carry. The power of your oneness. So whatever attack it is you are faced with, you have to face it together as one.
Whatever comes against your marriage is to be seen as something against your covenant to disrupt and distract you.
May the Lord grant you strength to stand on His promises in faith.
God bless your marriage.
