Joy Is A Serious Business By Pastor Dunamis (14th November 2021)

Joy Is A Serious Business By Pastor Dunamis (14th November 2021)

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Joy Is A Serious Business was taught by Rev. Dunamis Okunowo on the 14th of November 2021 at Shouts of Grace Center, Joke Plaza, Beside Trans Amusement Park, Bodija-UI Road, Ibadan.

In his teaching, Rev. Dunamis made mention of the following important points:

The reason we make mistakes is because we are not patient enough to wait for that peace from God which means ‘an okay’ from God concerning that situation.

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Romans 14:17 (KJV)

Mistakes will be averted if we get God’s consent in all our decisions.

You have to make up your mind not to allow anybody steal your joy. You can repeat these words to yourself right now: NOBODY STEALS MY JOY.

You have the responsibility to protect your joy and peace.

Joy is mysterious! It holds a whole lot of blessings in it. You may not understand how just being joyful will bring these blessings, but the joy will bring the blessings.

Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

Isaiah 12:3 (KJV)

The LORD thy God in the midst of thee [is] mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

Zephaniah 3:17 (KJV)

In this Kingdom, too much analysis leads to paralysis. To make progress in this kingdom, you don’t have to be too conscious of yourself, such that, for example, you resist jumping and shouting when the Holy Spirit is stirring you to do so. You have to behave like a child, for the Kingdom of God belongs to children!

There’s always a co-operation between you and God for the manifestation of your blessings to show forth.

Always remember that Joy Is A Serious Business!

The Joy Of The LORD By Pastor Dunamis (7th November 2021)

The Joy Of The LORD By Pastor Dunamis (7th November 2021)

Reading Time: 3 minutes

The Joy Of The LORD was taught by Rev. Dunamis Okunowo on the 7th of November 2021 at Shouts of Grace Center, Joke Plaza, Beside Trans Amusement Park, Bodija-UI Road, Ibadan.

In his teaching, Rev. Dunamis made mention of the following important points:

The devil doesn’t want you joyful at any time.

Joy is a decision, not a feeling. Decide to be joyful regardless of the circumstances.

Depression is not something you should allow in your life.

Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up.

Proverbs 12:25 (NLT)

James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

James 1:1-2 (KJV)

As long as you are a human, several troubles will surely come your way. However, know that in the midst of all the troubles you are going to have the victory.

Your victory will come by joy, not depression. It may not look joyful, but rejoice!

In the midst of that adversity, something is being worked out.

Knowing [this], that the trying of your faith WORKETH patience.

James 1:3 (KJV)

Rev. Dunamis then taught from Romans 14:17

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Romans 14:17 (KJV)

Joy is one of the things you can use to illustrate the kingdom of God.

If you want to get the best out of the Kingdom of God, you must live right, live in peace, and stay in joy.

Righteousness

You cannot live by your feeling! It is not everything that the body screams for that you must provide!

It wasn’t easy for Jesus to go to the Cross for you, but He went. It may not be easy to live right, but you must live right.

Peace

Peace comes when we are in the center of God’s will. Peace is an indicator that you’re doing what God wants you to do.

God the Father, God the Son and God the Spirit are all joy-beings

Sometimes joy is a decision you must make, irrespective of the situation.

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither [shall] fruit [be] in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and [there shall be] no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

Habakkuk 3:17-18 (KJV)

Joy affects prosperity.

The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, [even] all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.

Joel 1:12 (KJV)

You say, “The reason I don’t have joy is because I don’t have money.”
Wrong!
“The reason you don’t have money is because you don’t have joy.”

Nobody takes possession of anything through sadness/depression.

Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see [him] not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

1 Peter 1:8 (KJV)

The joy may be unspeakable, but there are several other ways it can be expressed.

Ways to express Joy unspeakable

It is jumpable

Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward [is] great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

Luke 6:23 (KJV)

It is singable

Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the LORD hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem.

Isaiah 52:9 (KJV)

It is danceable

Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

Psalm 149:3 (KJV)

It is laughable

At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.

Job 5:22 (KJV)

It is shoutable

But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

Psalm 5:11 (KJV)

Worry adds nothing to your bank account; joy releases the forces of heaven to work for you.

Gbemisoke By Pastor Dunamis (31st October 2021)

Gbemisoke By Pastor Dunamis (31st October 2021)

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Gbemisoke was taught by Rev. Dunamis Okunowo on the 31st of October 2021 at Shouts of Grace Center, Joke Plaza, Beside Trans Amusement Park, Bodija-UI Road, Ibadan.

In his teaching, Rev. Dunamis made mention of the following important points:

Gbemisoke is a Yoruba word referring to God as the lifter up of heads.

Everyone desires to do great things in life (we have dreams, desires, etc), but we must understand that there are some things you need to do for these things to happen:

1. Spiritual Capital

This has to do with the ministry of the Word and prayer.

But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

Acts 6:4 (KJV)

It is only a careless believer that leaves the house without spending time with God in prayer and in the word. The ministry of the Word is what we have to do daily.

One of the areas you don’t outgrow in Christianity is the ministry of the Word and prayer.
Prayer, to God, is fellowship; it’s not a time to slam your requests on God and run away.

If the spiritual capital is not there, even if God lifts up your head, it will go down again.

God looks at you carefully before He lifts up your head; if the lifting of your head will lead you to hell, then God will not lift it. Lack of spiritual capital will limit ‘Gbemisoke’ in your life.

2. The Physical Cost

Grace is not an excuse to be lazy.

But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which [was bestowed] upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

1 Corinthians 15:10 (KJV)

The physical cost requires you doing something with the grace of God that has been bestowed on you.

The grace of God is for productivity. Life does not respect those that just quote Scriptures; life respects those that produce. You must produce!

Laziness will only frustrate the grace of God.

Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, [even] to the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.

Joshua 1:2-3 (KJV)

God gave them the land, but yet told them “every place that your foot touches becomes yours.” That was their part to fulfill.

If you don’t ‘walk through,’ then you can’t possess the land.

And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, [then] shall thy seed also be numbered. Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.

Genesis 13:14-17 (KJV)

3. Mental Cost

This speaks of focus, dedication, and diligence.
You cannot excel in anything you don’t focus on. Whatever you don’t focus on you can never become an expert in.

4. Time Cost

God will not bless an abuser of time. You must learn to use time to your advantage.

Furthermore, Rev Dunamis taught from Psalm chapter 3.

LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many [are] they that rise up against me. Many [there be] which say of my soul, [There is] no help for him in God. Selah. But thou, O LORD, [art] a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

Psalm 3:1-3 (KJV)

When you are in a situation where no man can help you, stop running around with men; sit down with God. Gbemisoke is an attribute that fits only God.

It is not important what men are saying, what matters is what God is saying.

When you understand your position in God, you won’t fight back (you won’t take vengence into your hands).

If God is not your shield, you will die in the midst of those troubles.

When God becomes your shield, your enemies are in trouble.

God is a lifter. He desires to lift up!

And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up [herself]. And when Jesus saw her, he called [her to him], and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid [his] hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

Luke 13:11-13 (KJV)

God knows how to straighten destinies that are wobbled.

What It Really Means To Jeun Soke By Pastor Dunamis (27th October 2021)

What It Really Means To Jeun Soke By Pastor Dunamis (27th October 2021)

Reading Time: 3 minutes

What It Really Means To Jeun Soke was taught by Rev. Dunamis Okunowo on the 27th of October 2021 at Shouts of Grace Center, Joke Plaza, Beside Trans Amusement Park, Bodija-UI Road, Ibadan.

In his teaching, Rev. Dunamis made mention of the following important points:

Food is extremely important; the way you look today has somewhat to do with what you eat.

One of the first instructions of God to man was about what to eat and what not to eat.

And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

Genesis 2:16-17 (NKJV)

The devil tempted man through food.

Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”

Genesis 3:1 (NKJV)

Food can make a man lose his blessing.

And Jacob gave Esau bread and stew of lentils; then he ate and drank, arose, and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright.

Genesis 25:34 (NKJV)

However food is for strength, not for pleasure.

And the angel of the LORD came back the second time, and touched him, and said, “Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for you.”

1 Kings 19:7 (NKJV)

Blessed are you, O land, when your king is the son of nobles, And your princes feast at the proper time– For strength and not for drunkenness!

Ecclesiastes 10:17 (NKJV)

Hunger can birth wickedness.

So we boiled my son, and ate him. And I said to her on the next day, ‘Give your son, that we may eat him’; but she has hidden her son.”

2 Kings 6:29 (NKJV)

You can’t afford to be hungry in the spirit, if not you will do things you did not imagine you can do.

It is when your spirit man is starved/famished that you slide into the flesh.

We are still considering what it really means to jeun soke.

How To eat

1. Find that which you need to eat

Your words were found, and I ate them, And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; For I am called by Your name, O LORD God of hosts.

Jeremiah 15:16 (NKJV)

There’s first a finding process. This is a deliberate process.
There’s a labour of faith, where you labour for what to eat.

Before you embark on any journey (marriage, business, etc), eat well! The reason we often fall flat on our face is cos we don’t eat well before embarking on those tasks.

You eat for strength.
When you find and eat the word, a testimony will surely emerge from it

After you find, you must eat. The eating process is meditation. First of all you memorize it so that you can turn it in your heart anywhere you are. This is what it really means to jeun soke.

God cannot refuse His Word!

The more you think on that Scripture, the more circumstances align to make it come to pass.
God listens to His Word, not to some emotions or sentiments.

What you find and eat is what will work for you.

2. To eat is to obey

If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;

Isaiah 1:19 (NKJV)

3. You take communion constantly.

And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”

Mark 14:22 (NKJV)

The problem of humanity began with eating; the deliverance lies in eating too – eating the word, His body, and His blood.

The instructions of God are your gateways to wealth, increase, breakthrough, etc.

When you eat, it will show in your result.
