Husbands And Wives, Do These To Each Other

Husbands And Wives, Do These To Each Other

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Husbands are to appreciate their wives, while the wives are to praise their husbands. That’s the magic.

I will dedicate the aspect of ‘wives praising their husbands’ to all husbands and fathers. To mark our father’s day celebration. The day is for fathers’ so let’s focus on how to make them happy and feel good because that’s the essence of marriage.

I believe this is in order. Then the aspect of ‘husbands appreciating their wives’ will come up tomorrow.

The two words appreciate and praise have same elements but are slightly different. We just concluded celebrating our fathers and by extension our husbands. It feels good to know that at least a day is set aside to shower encomium on our fathers and husbands.

Every wife should know how to praise her husband. If you wait till your husband is perfect, you will wait a long time. Besides, who says you have the right standard to judge him? You may have a thousand things against him, look for and focus on the good things he has done.

How he has been faithful? How he has been a good father to your children? He didn’t neglect you when you were pregnant, he didn’t abuse you, he provided for you, he prayed and fast for you.

The truth is that your husband has done so much for you, that you are not even aware of. It will take eternity to discover some of the things our husbands have done for us. Just like it will be in eternity to unravel the so many things our heavenly father has done for us.

Sometimes we have misjudged their motives, yet God is the judge of all and He looks into the heart.

God our heavenly father loves praises and men are created in the image of God, so there is a part of every man that craves praises.

If every wife will look beyond the pains and hurts and just praise your husbands for what they do, I believe that praise will work wonders.

But when Herod’s birthday came, the daughter of Herodias danced in the midst [before the company] and pleased and fascinated Herod, And so he promised with an oath to give her whatever she might ask. Matthew 14:6 – 7 AMPC

That is what praise can do. We can learn this principle from this young girl, who despite who King Herod was or whatever he had done, danced with all her heart, honored him till he felt so wonderful.

She could access what the king had by simply honoring him. She brought herself to a place of prominent to forgetting herself and praising the king first. She was rewarded for it.

Let us all as wives focus on praising our husbands. Let us be selfless. Let us not be too mindful of ourselves.

We can’t dance unless we learn to forget whatever issues, grievances we had towards our husbands. For us to dance in a way that pleases and catch the attention of our husbands, our hearts must be free of offences.

Have a light heart. So you can dance well. All you want is for your king to open his mouth and give you half of his kingdom, his heart, his life, his commitment, his loyalty, his attention.

The principle is do his own first.

May God grant us the heart of humility to rid our hearts of everything that will not make our hearts light, so that we can dance for him.

God bless our marriage

How To Enjoy Yourselves As Couples

How To Enjoy Yourselves As Couples

Reading Time: 2 minutes

The Bible says husbands should enjoy the wife of their youth. This means you should enjoy yourself while you have strength as young couples. Don’t be too serious at home and learn to live together as best friends.

The force of joy is very vital in the home front. Joy, celebration, thanksgiving, rejoicing, the sound of melody, praises, and worship to God all go hand in hand.

Psa 67:5-6, KJV Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.

We are encouraged in this scripture to praise the Lord, then our earth; whatever it is that represents the earth to us will yield her increase. Whether barrenness, lack, joblessness, debt, et cetera

The logical thing to do is get moody when things are not working. But we operate from a higher level. We rejoice to get the increase.

Your boss, spouse, or colleague may be treating you badly. Rather than fight back, you switch into praise.

Receive Grace and strength to enter into praise. God inhabits your praise. Your praise invites God to fight on your behalf.

Php 4:4  Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

Let nothing steal your joy. Let your rejoicing be in the Lord

Don’t allow the pressure of finances, raising children, in-laws and others destabilize your togetherness and joy.

Nothing must come in between your joy. Between the two of you, one person will be more playful and tend towards being joyful all the time.

Let the playful one take the initiative and the other follows suit.

The Holy Spirit knows what He’s saying when He says enjoy the wife of your youth.

Be deliberate in making each other happy. Do not make others outside your home or marriage happy at the expense of your spouse.

Read books together and discuss them. Invest in each other.

I pray your marriage will be beautiful and filled with new wine.

God bless your marriage.

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I love my spouse and we enjoy life together

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord, help us to be joyful always.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Ecc 9:9  Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun.

ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY
Rejoice and enjoy yourself

Dear Singles, Stop That Comparison – Part 2

Dear Singles, Stop That Comparison – Part 2

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Dear singles, It’s vital we don’t compare ourselves with one another. That is why this topic is being taught. We started yesterday and we looked at reasons you cannot compare yourself with others. You can read it here.

Let’s look at a few more things today.

Our anchor scripture remains;

For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. (2 Corinthians 10:12 KJV)

Dear singles, these are the following things to do to become free from comparison traps?

1. Know who you are in God
To overcome comparison traps, you have to know who you are in God! Declare your stand in God and keep confessing that.

2. Acknowledge the good things in you.
The scriptures says

That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. (Philemon 1:6 KJV)

When you recognize and acknowledge every good thing in you, your gifting and talents, the communication of your faith or the effectiveness of your spiritual life will become a reality.

3. Fill yourself with God’s word
To deal with comparison traps, you have to keep filling yourself with God’s word. The word of God is like a mirror.

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 3:18 KJV)

When you begin to read and study God’s word, you will be changed into the picture of that which God shows you in His word. You will be free from comparing yourself with other mortals.

4. Learn to praise God for all things.
Learn to praise God always and appreciate Him for what He has done and what He is doing in your life! At the root of comparison trap is an ungrateful heart. As you begin to genuinely appreciate God for His mercies and His blessings, you will be severed from unnecessary pressure to compare yourself with others.

I pray for you this morning and by the Spirit of God, I declare that all wrong spirits behind competitive jealousy lose their power over you in Jesus name!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I will not be a victim of competitive jealousy

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Declare over your life your freedom from all wrong spirits

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, (Jude 1:24 KJV)

ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY
Free yourself form all comparisons from today
