Run From These Lovers and Avoid Them – Part 3

Run From These Lovers and Avoid Them – Part 3

Reading Time: 2 minutes

…continued from yesterday’s devotional…

4. When you are in love with your Pastor who is married

This one may sound ridiculous, but trust me, it happens every day, I am a counselor!

A lot of ladies fall in love easily with their pastor because he is anointed and they listen to him every time. It is so easy to fall in love with your pastor, but when a Pastor who is married has fallen in love with you as well, it is better and wise to leave that church as soon as possible, because if you don’t, you will ruin yourselves!

By the time he is making advances at you, you should find another church! There is a difference between a hireling and a pastor! Don’t bother to pray that God should work it out! Are you praying that God should kill the Pastor’s wife?

If you have been sexually involved or manipulated by your pastor, leave that church. He might be a prophet or an apostle, if you are sleeping together, leave that church and leave that man!

Did you miss out on yesterday’s devotional, we’ve got you covered. Kindly go HERE. For KHC video Devotionals, kindly go HERE

You say he is a spiritual father, he is married and yet sleeping with you? He is not a spiritual father; he is a spiritual nemesis! Run away! Avoid him!

Don’t bother praying. It is like both of you are sitting on a bomb, and it is better to disappear from that church! Don’t waste your time asking for His will. His will is clear, disconnect from such a relationship so that you will not delay yourself in your marital journey!

He is never going to leave his wife as he is promising you. All those lies are manipulations to keep you down in the sexual adventure.

At such scenarios, you don’t deceive yourself, you tell yourself the truth so that the truth can set you free.

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I will not miss it in marriage.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord, open my eyes to know who to avoid in life

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Proverbs 2:12 [KJV]To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;

ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY
Review your relationship in light of the above and mark out those to avoid.

Here Is The One Who Really Fell In Love With You

Here Is The One Who Really Fell In Love With You

Reading Time: 3 minutes

The contradiction that man is constantly subjected to is that he is a spirit but he lives in a body.  He is more conscious of his body because of the five senses and he is prone to be less conscious of the spirit realm, and yet he is supposed to get strength from the spirit, not from the body.

It was a dilemma that God resolved by sending the one and only son He had, Jesus Christ, to take our place.

I remember the first time I watched the film, Jesus of Nazareth (not even as brutal as Passion of the Christ), I couldn’t handle the kind of love Jesus had for humanity. As the big spikes were driven into his palms and legs with a gigantic, wicked-looking hammer, tears welled up within me. I was just nine years old! I asked my mum why he had to die, and my mum, who wasn’t born again at the time simply said, “He was crucified so we wouldn’t have to die.” He took our place!”

That answer made it worse for me as I began to wonder what kind of love that was. I went and hid at the back of the door and I wept there silently. They looked everywhere for me for hours, but I stayed there, weeping silently.

Finally, my mum located me, and tried to cheer me up, that He resurrected after all! That didn’t console me. My young mind couldn’t handle the wickedness meted out to Jesus, and come to think of it, He was innocent! I determined I would be His friend.

Uhhmnn…Jesus, the one who loves us, took our place, took the disordered mess of humanity and cleared it on our behalf, took sicknesses and diseases on our behalf so that we might be healed!

Rom 8:1-3 MSG (1) With the arrival of Jesus, the Messiah, that fateful dilemma is resolved. Those who enter into Christ’s being-here-for-us no longer have to live under a continuous, low-lying black cloud. (2)  A new power is in operation. The Spirit of life in Christ, like a strong wind, has magnificently cleared the air, freeing you from a fated lifetime of brutal tyranny at the hands of sin and death. (3)  God went for the jugular when he sent his own Son. He didn’t deal with the problem as something remote and unimportant. In his Son, Jesus, he personally took on the human condition, entered the disordered mess of struggling humanity in order to set it right once and for all. The law code, weakened as it always was by fractured human nature, could never have done that. The law always ended up being used as a Band-Aid on sin instead of a deep healing of it.

What a love!

This was God’s answer to our failing and frail humanity. He sent his son, who is as much God, to come and die for us. After he was resurrected, Jesus told us that the Holy Spirit will come and indwell us!

That sounded crazy! The Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity will now live in our body! Our body becomes the temple of the Holy Ghost! Divinity is domiciled in humanity!

1Co 6:19 MSG Or didn’t you realize that your body is a sacred place, the place of the Holy Spirit? Don’t you see that you can’t live however you please, squandering what God paid such a high price for? The physical part of you is not some piece of property belonging to the spiritual part of you.

What does this mean to us as believers and how does it concern our relationships?

Join me as I conclude tomorrow.

CONFESSION FOR TODAY
I embrace and celebrate the one who loves me.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Lord, help me to understand your love for me.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
1 John 3:1(ERV) The Father has loved us so much! This shows how much he loved us: We are called children of God. And we really are his children. But the people in the world don’t understand that we are God’s children, because they have not known him.

ACTION PLAN FOR TODAY
Study the word “love”

Five Important Things To Note In Falling In Love

Five Important Things To Note In Falling In Love

Reading Time: 3 minutes

There are important things to note in the area of falling in love as singles. I will share briefly five of them.

1. Relationship or marriage does not succeed just because you are a child of God

Yes, and I mean every word of that statement. Just because you are a child of God or you can speak in tongues does not mean you understand how to accommodate another human being in your life!
You can be a child of God and still be ignorant of the principles to live by. It is therefore important to note that going after knowledge and self-development is important. Make it a commitment to do yourself that good. Decide to improve yourself before falling in love.

You want to get married in two years; the question is what books are you reading in that regard? What is your temperament? Someone was once asked what her temperament was and she said, do you mean all those “sardine tins?” Well, it is not “sardine,” it’s sanguine! Relationship and marriage succeed because you work at it and you work the godly principles.

2. Being in love with a person does not translate to direction from God
You can fall in love with someone and yet it is not God’s plan for your life. The direction of your feelings and emotions is not necessarily a direction from God. Yes, God can use your desires to lead you and that is why I often tell people, make sure you pray before you fall in love! Once you are in love before praying, it can really be a difficult time hearing God because your emotions are involved. There is a difference between asking God for direction and asking Him to bless your decision.

3. You will fall in love with whomever you spend time

If you don’t want to become emotionally connected to that person, don’t spend time with such person. You know that his wife has travelled, and then you go and spend hours with him regularly? Doing what? You see, the flames of emotions are going to be fanned and if you are not careful, you are going to be getting involved in what you will regret later. A married person is a “No Go” area, so why waste your time, emotions and energy on relationships that God will never approve of? Why delay what God wants to do in your life with what you feel like doing?

4. Strife will stifle you and bitterness will not make you better
If there is anything you should avoid like Ebola, it is strife and bitterness. It will practically cause things to be grounded. Stay away from such, so that God’s blessing can be yours at the maximum.

5. You need God’s favour in this new month

Connect yourself to God’s covenant of favour! Favour will announce you this month! That favour of God will introduce you to new circles of relationships that will advance your life. You will not struggle this month! My God and my father will surround you with His mercy. Your husband will locate you. You will find your wife. Every spirit of delay is cursed and terminated in your life. You will carry your own children. Fruitfulness is your portion. You will not be cut off in the midst of your days. God will smile on you. He will turn His countenance upon you. He will bless you financially. Things will fall in pleasant places for you in the coming year. You will get that job. That contract will be yours!

And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of the Lord: possess thou the west and the south. (Deuteronomy 33:23 KJV)

You will be satisfied with favour! You will be treated well. You will not be cheated. You will advance. God will fill your mouth with laughter. He will heal every hurt and wound and give you a double blessing for every trouble. Get ready for a great time ahead in God, it is your time, it is your season! It is your season of falling in love!
