Fellowship With Other Believers – Some Great Habits

Fellowship With Other Believers – Some Great Habits

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Your fellowship with other Believers is one of the great habits to imbibe, and today we would start with a scene that happened in Jide’s life. Jide took the stairs two at a time as he made his way up to the second floor of the school’s building. It was almost fellowship time and he was leading opening prayers. He didn’t want to keep the others waiting and God too.

“not forsaking our meeting together [as believers for worship and instruction], as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more [ faithfully] as you see the day [of Christ’s return] approaching. Hebrews 10:25 AMP

The verse above tells you why you need to develop the habit of constant fellowship with other believers like yourself.  You worship God together and learn from Him. Not that you can’t do this on your own. You can, but with other believers, you will experience God in a new way.

Look at how people in church speak in different tongues. Or say one prayer in different ways. How about when someone or the pastor says he has a message from God for everyone. Yes, God will speak to you when you are alone with Him, He can also do so in a gathering of believers.

Another thing you will enjoy in a fellowship with other believers is encouragement. When you feel weak to pray, they can pray for you. Their prayers will boost your spiritual muscles and connect you to God’s power node where you draw strength to pray.

And finally, you know Jesus’ return is almost here, you need to be more spiritually sound and one way to be so is in the presence of the brethren (fellow believers). Constantly connecting with them keeps you from falling into sin easily or at all. You should learn to fellowship with other Believers.

So, when next your parents say it’s time for church, don’t frown or grumble. Rather, grab your Bible, put on a beautiful smile on your face, and say “I am ready!”

God bless you. Amen

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for my fellow believers. Thank You for the wonderful Christian family I have. Teach me to fellowship with other Believers. Amen.

Action point:
Why not lead prayers or praise at the next prayer meeting or fellowship at school or in church.

Dear Singles, Your Destiny Outweighs Your Love Life

Dear Singles, Your Destiny Outweighs Your Love Life

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Sister Faith was spiritual! While on campus, she was everywhere. From prayer group, to the Choir and then the missions, she tirelessly served God and it was obvious God’s hands were upon her. She counseled younger ladies, prayed for them and ensured new converts were established in the fellowship. The fellowship missed her like “Mississippi” when she left.

At the one year national orientation camp, the fire continued to burn, but not for long! The news soon filtered, she got involved in a relationship with someone who is not born again. All the attempts of other ‘brethren’ to stop her were futile.

In later years, she was not happy. Her rich husband would not allow her to work or serve God. She became a permanent house wife, disappeared from church and later entered in to depression. Needless to say, she did not enjoy her marriage.

The question of destiny! This one cannot be over emphasized. As singles, you cannot be involved with a man or woman that has no sense of destiny in God! In these days, and for whatever reason, you should not go into a marriage with someone that will hinder or stop your relationship with God.

There are dream killers and destiny destroyers. When you marry such people, whole destinies can be swallowed up.

I feel like I’ve got a trumpet in my mouth to sound a warning to this generation about emotions and sexuality. You see, God cannot be mocked! Marriage is not what you fall into like a lamb being led to the slaughter because you are in love. Marriage comes with pressures, and those pressures are amplified when you get married to someone with no sense of destiny.

With marriage, dreams can come alive, and dreams can die, literally vapourize until you become a shadow of yourself. With marriage, the heavens can be opened, and with it the heavens can also become iron.

With marriage, you can move to your next level in God and you can be reduced to the level of your partner. With marriage, you can enter into unbelievable rebellion and bite the fingers that fed you, and you can honour those who have contributed to your life positively.

With marriage, you can find your rhyme, come alive with hidden gifts bursting out into manifestation and divine expressions, and gifts can also be wrapped up and buried in the tomb of unbelief and depression.

Why is marriage that powerful? You see it is a covenant.

In the book of Proverbs, the Bible says God’s word will keep you away from evil men and strange women. So, there are evil men and strange women.

There are Delilahs whose mission is to destroy. There are Jezebels whose mission is to use you. There are Samsons who are anointed but are full of lust and will not mind sleeping with you before marriage and then preach next day. There are Herods who don’t see anything in killing infants and will take to abort over and over.

In marriage, destinies are wedged together. Like the dog whose jaws are locked when it bites, there are people you kiss and your jaws are locked. In marriage, blessings and afflictions become intertwined and your issues become his\her issues.

May God guide you as you choose wisely.

Ten Decisions That Can Turn Your Relationship Around

Ten Decisions That Can Turn Your Relationship Around

Reading Time: 3 minutes

2Sa 8:15 ERV – David ruled over all Israel, and he made good and fair decisions for all of his people.

This morning, I want to write to you by the Spirit of God on a few things you can do that are guaranteed to turn your life around for good. Life is about decisions!

Think about yesterday and look back at the number of decisions you made alone yesterday.

The life you are living now is a consequence of the decisions of yester-years. The life you will live tomorrow is a springboard from the decisions you are making today.

Every MAN has M-A-N seasons. That is Morning, Afternoon, and Night!

The problem is that the consequences of bad decisions made in the morning of one’s life do not show until nighttime!

You are probably in the afternoon season of your life now. The mistake of the morning season does not fixate you into a permanent regret night-time.

You can change what your tomorrow will look like with strong decisions.

The challenge behind making decisions is that habits and comfort zones will be confronted, most times painfully. But it is the price you must pay to move forward.

If you want a different result in your life, you cannot continue to do things the way you have been doing them.

Here are the decisions to make. The list is not exhaustive, however.

1. Decide to have a relationship with God.

You cannot go far without this. Your life could be ended with a gentle breeze like when you blow off a candle-light, and that would be it. Fear Him who created you and have kept you alive! Be grateful for the gift of life by giving your life back to Him!

Mat 10:28 (MSG) “Don’t be bluffed into silence by the threats of bullies. There’s nothing they can do to your soul, your core being. Save your fear for God, who holds your entire life—body and soul—in his hands.

2. Decide to fellowship with God daily.

You need that daily renewal and rejuvenation or you will soon be wearied. Weariness at its peak can bring suicidal feelings. Be wise!

Isa 40:31 (MSG) But those who wait upon GOD get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles, They run and don’t get tired, they walk and don’t lag behind.

3. Always seek the help of the Holy Spirit.

As a believer, you have been configured to succeed only with His help. Without Him, you will not have dominion over sin.

Gal 5:16 (KJV) This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

4. Decide to be accountable.

Don’t live your life recklessly. Deliberately get a mentor or pastor over your life. That is how you are preserved. Get somebody over your life that you can call on the phone anytime for wisdom! Stay in touch with that person. Give to him. Pray for him. That is how to be a good protégée.

1Ti 4:14 (TPT) Don’t minimize the powerful gift that operates in your life, for it was imparted to you by the laying on of hands of the elders and was activated through the prophecy they spoke over you.

5. Decide to stay off iniquity.

Don’t cut yourself short and jeopardize your destiny because of exuberance. Zip up! Stay away from all sexual sins. Be a man, not a boy! Ladies, preserve your virtue! Stay faithful to your spouse. Don’t trifle with pre-marital sex!

2Ti 2:19 (KJV) Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

I will stop here and continue tomorrow.
