Life And Decisions was taught by Rev. Dunamis Okunowo on the 26th of September 2021 at Shouts of Grace Center, Joke Plaza, Beside Trans Amusement Park, Bodija-UI Road, Ibadan.
In his teaching, Rev. Dunamis made mention of the following important points:
Your decisions will always outlive you. The decisions you are making today is not just about you, but about the generations in your loins.
Life is about decisions. As insignificant as the decisions you make today may look, they will still affect your children and even your children’s children. Therefore, you cannot afford to be making wrong decisions.
Even though you may take some decisions in ignorance, yet you won’t escape the consequences of those decisions, except by the mercies of God. Samson took a wrong decision and he paid for it.
But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house.
Judges 16:21 (KJV)
Men can be doors and men can be walls; it is left for you to decide which one you want to be.
Decisions can take you up, and decisions can bring you down. It’s your choice to make. The more you keep taking wrong decisions the farther you go from God.
If you submit yourself under a wrong person, you can die with him/her.
Where you are right now is a screenshot of the decisions you’ve made.
God respects your decisions, therefore you can’t afford to make a wrong one.
Most of the problems we face are self-inflicted, because of decisions taken. Your children are a representative of your decisions.
The expression of the gift of God through you is not a validation for a wrong lifestyle.

3. Begin to pray and activate the covenant of peace in your family.
4. Pray for mercy over every aspect of your life.
5. Begin to pray that your children are taught by the LORD.
6. Begin to declare that by the Blood, you and your children will experience peace.
7. Pray for God’s righteousness to work in you and be expressed in your works.
8. Begin to cast off every form of oppression in your life.

September To Remember – Day 27
I have the peace of the Lord. Over my relationship/marriage, I experience the peace of God. Shalom: nothing missing, nothing broken. The covenant of the Lord over me and mine shall stand. The covenant of peace shall stand. By the mercies of God, I have peace within my borders. My children experience total peace. God is turning unto them with his peace. They are taught of the Lord from a tender age.
The Lord is showing me kindness. Everywhere I turn to, I see the kindness of the Lord.
I am delivered from all forms of oppression. I am delivered from all forms of terror in Jesus name, amen.

Wisdom lies in God. Deception and traps abound, but God’s wisdom will always avail if we connect with it. Wisdom is given so that we can avoid unnecessary mistakes that dot the path of love.
Here are a few words of wisdom that will help you.
That you are a born again christian does not mean your relationship will succeed.
Yes, you are born again. Yes, you are filled with the Spirit. Yes, you are a child of God. All of these are true, but what is not true is that because of all the above, you will have a fantastic relationship or marriage.
With the addition to all above, you will now consciously work at your relationship or marriage by working the principles of God.
All love feelings may not all be God’s leading
Falling in love may not be God’s leading all the time. There are times you fall in love and you feel so strongly in love and it’s all looking like God’s direction, but it may not always be.
You cannot make major decisions as result of your feelings because feelings are fickle.
When you spend time with anyone, you fall in love with that person.
The more you hang around a person, spend time with that person, the more you are going to fall in love with that person. It happens all the time. Emotions will be involved and in no time, reasoning will be impaired.
It is good to always draw boundaries and define relationships at the early stage. This way, you can be sure there won’t be mistakes, all in the name of love.
Once you don’t love a person, don’t bother to spend much time together.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY I will follow God’s leading in the name of Jesus
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY James 1:5, (NLT) If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.
Son 2:15 Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.
I want us to noticethree things from the above scripture.
Take these little foxes.
The foxes are little, insignificant issues.
Our vines, (marriage) have tender grapes.
When we run marriage with godly principles, it has the potential to yield great results.
I want us to note here that godly principles are not necessarily logical.
Below are some logical reasons why either the wife or husband leave their matrimonial bed
My husband or wife snores and sleeps roughly. I can’t cope with not having a good night’s rest.
My wife just put to bed. She needs enough space to nurse our baby.
I need my privacy, so let’s have separate rooms.
I need to teach my wife or husband a lesson, as we have not been on talking terms for a while.
My wife is currently on her monthly period. I will be back when she is done.
However, God’s principles knock out every form of logic you might be thinking of.
Once married, you are now one flesh. Leaving your flesh in one room is not part of the deal. Learn to accept the one you married, for love is patient.
Do not abandon raising your kids to your wife alone. Be with her, especially at night.
You won’t get any privacy by leaving your spouse in one room and going to another. God frowns at such acts.
No matter what issues you have, you deal with them by talking. Staying in separate rooms will only make you go apart.
Having her monthly period is normal. You knew this before marrying her, so stay with her. If you can’t stay with her for 5 days in a month, then you can’t stay with her for life.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Songs of Solomon 2:15 (TPT) You must catch the troubling foxes, those sly little foxes that hinder our relationship. For they raid our budding vineyard of love to ruin what I’ve planted within you. Will you catch them and remove them for me? We will do it together.

7. Begin to pray for deliverance from any form of demonic oppression.

I cooperate with the timing of God. I do not run faster than God. I move at his pace. I trust the judgement of the Holy Spirit. Even though it seems late, it will eventually be the latest. God is acting on my behalf. God is moving to favor me. God’s promises concerning my relationship/marriage is coming to pass speedily. I receive the help of God. I am delivered from the clutches of sin. I walk in the victory of the finished works of Christ. The joy of my salvation is restored in full. So shall it be in Jesus name, amen.
