The position of a man plays a crucial role in his destiny. Many things we pray about that seem delayed are not necessarily being withheld by God. Rather, they require us to be in the right place to receive them.
Divine positioning is key to unlocking God’s promises. Without it, a person may struggle unnecessarily, even for the simplest things. In Genesis 12:1, God told Abram “Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee.”
God had great plans for Abram, but his current location limited those plans. The wonders and blessings God had in store for him could only manifest after he moved to the place God had ordained for him. Sometimes, a shift in location physically, spiritually, or even mentally is all that is needed for a breakthrough.
One can work tirelessly and still have nothing to show for it. At such moments, the question to ask is: Am I in the right place? The right place is not just about geography; it is about being in the center of God’s will.
When Jesus healed a blind man in Bethsaida, He first led him out of the town before performing the miracle. Could it be that the town was filled with unbelief? Could the atmosphere have hindered the man’s faith and delayed his healing? Jesus knew that the right positioning was necessary for the man’s miracle.
What are you trusting God for? A new job? A spouse? A house? A business breakthrough? Sometimes, the key is not more effort or even more prayers but divine positioning.
Being divinely positioned means being aligned with God’s plan, will, and agenda. Outside of His plan, life becomes a struggle. But when we are where He wants us to be, grace flows effortlessly, doors open, and favor abounds.
Pray today, “Lord, position me in the right place, at the right time, for my destiny to be fulfilled.”
Time doesn’t really make things better; what happens IN time is what has the power to change the course of actions.
So, if the enemy has stolen from your life, marriage, family, and career last year, he will come to take another this year. Don’t think that the passage of time from 2024 to 2025 will stop him from taking another. He will come for another!
“Then he killed James the brother of John with the sword. And because he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to seize Peter also. Now it was during the Days of Unleavened Bread.”Acts 12:2-3 [NKJV]
Herod had killed James, and you would think that was enough and that time would make him stop. It didn’t. When he was done with James, he went for Peter! And had he been able to deal with Peter, he would have gone for another. And then another. And another… until there was none left.
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy…” John 10:10 [NKJV]
But the church stopped that from happening—they stopped the enemy from taking another. How?
“Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. Acts 12:5 [KJV]
Prayer was made without ceasing. What changed the narrative was what the church did in time—they made constant prayers.
In this season, things will spiral into more mess if you don’t step in and stop the flow. The enemy will take another if you don’t step in and stop the flow. More things will go wrong in your marriage if you don’t step in and stop the flow. Your life will get worse if you don’t arise and stop the flow.
It’s that year that we arise and declare, “No more!”
As the year winds down and the coming year beckons, I bring you a word of assurance that will anchor your soul in God.
Sometimes, we feel we are not married because of some enemies or mischief makers.
Those who are married often conclude that the strange battles they face, and the uniqueness of their experiences are caused by “village people!”
Sometimes, these singles and couples are correct, and sometimes, they are plain wrong!
But let us assume they are right. Okay?
What does the scripture say about enemies of our soul? Mischief makers. People who hate you for just being you and hate your guts. People you never offended but who disdain you for being alive. What does the Bible say about such enemies? Let us take a look.
Psa 7:15 (KJV) He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.
Wow! Your enemy who made a pit will end up in their own pit!
I even love the way Message Translation puts it in verses 15 and 16
Psa 7:15 (MSG) See that man shoveling day after day, digging, then concealing, his man-trap down that lonely stretch of road? Go back and look again—you’ll see him in it headfirst, legs waving in the breeze.
The pit digger will end in the very pit he is digging for you!
Why would this happen?
Verse 16 tells us
Psa 7:16 (MSG) That’s what happens: mischief backfires; violence boomerangs.
Mischief will always backfire. Mischief makers will always end up in their handiwork.
Never join perceived enemies in their mischief. Never dig a pit because you think somebody else is doing that against you.
Shovels are not part of your armour!
So what should you be doing?
Vrsre 17 tells you what to do.
Psa 7:17 (MSG) I’m thanking God, who makes things right. I’m singing the fame of heaven-high GOD.
Keep thanking God and you will keep getting the victory!
God will make all things right for you.
Thankful lips will do much more than using shovels!
