In the vastness of life’s challenges, it can be easy to feel small and insignificant. The storms of uncertainty, pain, or fear may rage around us, threatening to overwhelm our faith. But in those moments, we must remember this profound truth: God stands on His throne—for you.
The Bible reminds us repeatedly of God’s sovereignty. Psalm 47:8 declares, “God reigns over the nations; God is seated on his holy throne.” This image of God seated on His throne isn’t just about authority—it’s about presence. It tells us that no matter how chaotic life becomes, God remains steadfast, watching over His creation with unwavering love and purpose. And when He rises from His throne? That’s when miracles happen.
Consider the story of Joshua at Jericho (Joshua 6). As the Israelites faced an impenetrable city wall, God gave them specific instructions: march around the walls for six days, then on the seventh day, shout as the priests blow their trumpets. When they obeyed, something extraordinary happened—the walls came tumbling down. Why? Because God acted on behalf of His people. At that moment, it was as if He stepped forward from His throne, saying, “I see your obedience, I hear your cries, and I will fight for you.”
God does the same for us today. When we face obstacles too big for us to overcome alone—whether it’s financial hardship, broken relationships, health struggles, or spiritual battles—we can trust that God sees us. He hears our prayers, and He is not idle. Just as He stood for Joshua and the Israelites, He will stand for you.
But here’s the key: we must position ourselves to receive His intervention. Like Joshua, we are called to act in faith, even when the way seems impossible. Faith doesn’t mean having all the answers; it means trusting that God is who He says He is—a loving Father who fights for His children. When we surrender our fears and step out in obedience, we make room for God to move powerfully in our lives.
So, take heart. No matter what you’re facing, God has not abandoned you. He stands on His throne, ready to rise up and work on your behalf. Trust Him. Follow His lead. And watch as He turns your impossibilities into testimonies of His grace and glory.
In every storm, declare this promise: “The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress” (Psalm 46:7). For when God stands on His throne for you, nothing can stand against you.
I intend to share with you one of the scriptures that God revealed to me as a young Christian this morning.
Praying this scripture opened me up to the supernatural. As if the curtains of the heavens were drawn, I became aware of many things, including His direction for my life and His specific desires for me at each moment.
Here is the scripture.
Jer 33:3 (KJV) Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
You know what I love about this? It’s the fact that God promised to answer your prayers immediately, without any delay.
Call upon me, and I will answer you…
Notice that He didn’t promise to fulfill your request, but He simply said He would answer your call!
He will respond! How will he respond?
He is going to reveal things to you!
Great Things! Mighty Things!
Which you don’t know.
The reality is that what you don’t know is more than what you know. Yet, what you know determines your progress in life.
God said He would show you!
Let’s take a look at other translations.
Jer 33:3 (MSG) ‘Call to me and I will answer you. I’ll tell you marvellous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own.’
Wondrous things and marvelous things that you can’t figure out alone, He said He will show you!
People of God, get ready for God this year to show you marvelous and wondrous things, and you will know it is God showing you because they are things you could not figure out on your own!
This will give you an advantage in life and propel you beyond your contemporaries!
I pray that this year will be a year of revelations and insights that will advance you massively in Jesus’ name!
Isa 60:22 (KJV) A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.
Welcome to your best season yet. Welcome to the dawn of a new era that promises to be the best you’ve ever experienced on this side of the world.
Welcome to the year when significant events will occur rapidly in your favour!
Whenever God wants to communicate with His people, He sends them a message.
Well, we have the privilege and a rare opportunity to have received a prophetic instruction for the church, the ministry, and by extension to everyone who identifies with us in Kisses and Huggs Club and in Shouts of Grace Center.
Wow! The instructions are incredibly simple.
God has been incredibly gracious in revealing that 2025 will be a fantastic year for all of us. To manifest this, He has given us a daily commitment of one hour to Him in prayer and praise.
Essentially, we will be raising storms of prayer and praise to God daily! We will dedicate 30 minutes of our morning prayers to a “prayer storm” and 30 minutes of our nighttime prayers to a “praise storm.” We have named this initiative the Global Prayer and Praise Storm (GPPS).
You can join Prayer Storm and Praise Storm using these permanent links.
Prayer Storm begins at 6:00 AM WAT, followed by Praise Storm at 9:00 PM WAT.
All married couples should be aware of what marriage is before they venture into getting married.
Marriage is not the next step to be taken after you are twenty-four, you have finished your Youth service, you have a good-paying job, you have a good apartment, you are good looking and to crown it all, you have a car.
Marriage is not just to fulfill a social or religious obligation nor is it just to fulfill the procreation commandment in scripture. Marriage is more than all these.
It is high time we begin to view marriage with the eyes of God who created marriage. There is a truth in the heart of God about marriage. Marriage is first of all Spiritual before it is physical, natural, and then societal.
Marriage is a mystery that cannot be explained mentally. It is a representation of the Trinity here on earth. That is, how the Godhead is in heaven, marriage is that on earth.
It is really a mystery that can only be lived according to God’s instructions. It is almost impossible to adequately live a successful marital life without following God.
Two different individuals, born and brought up by two different parents, in two different locations with different experiences, different opinions and outlooks to life, different temperaments and just living their lives with differences so parallel to each other. It is a mystery to have these two people joined together to become one flesh. It is almost impossible.
It takes a revelation and a spiritual understanding of what the marriage relationship is all about. Both parties must be meek and humble enough to learn and ask from God how to go about living this mystery.
Without these revelations and understanding, the marriage relationship will be a mirage. This revelation is progressive in nature. The husband and the wife need to be everyday students in the institution of marriage.
Until a class or lesson is passed, there is no promotion to the next class. It is this promotion that marks our progress in life. Once we devote ourselves to being committed to learning from the mysterious institute of marriage, then we begin to enjoy the benefits.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. – Mat 6:33 (KJV)
As we seek God’s kingdom to be established here on earth in our marriages, only then can we begin to see every other thing added to us. We have to aim at doing it in God’s way because that is the only way.
I pray God will enlighten our understanding of the mystery of marriage.
God bless your marriage.
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I understand the mystery of marriage
PRAYER FOR THE DAY Lord, help me to understand the mystery of marriage.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Mat 6:33 (KJV)But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY Study the word ‘one flesh’
Whatever you eat is what you will use to live in your relationship. That is just the reality. You cannot afford to marry a starved person.
The short humorous video (extremely funny) below summarizes what we are looking at this morning. Take a moment to watch it right away
As a single, you have to find what to eat. This is a responsibility all believers have.
When you really want to eat, we are not talking about Golden Morn or nodules. You go for real food when you really want to “jeun soke!”
Did you miss out on yesterday’s devotional, we’ve got you covered. Kindly go HERE. For KHC video Devotionals, kindly go HERE
It is the same in the realm of the spirit. You have to sit down with God’s word and study extensively. You have to eat to your satisfaction. Eating well takes time in preparation.
Refusal to study God’s word can be likened to a watery stew that has no taste. There is nothing to enjoy there. Do you really want to enjoy your relationship? Then eat well and make sure you marry somebody who has spiritual stamina by reason of what he or she has eaten.
The smell of food never satisfies until you taste it. Tasting is never like eating.
When we hear a revelation on Television or in a conference that blesses us, you have just smelt it, now you need to go home and sit down to really make your own food based on the smell and then cook your own revelation. That is when you really get blessed.
My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
Psa 63:5 (KJV)
People of God, this is how things work. Let’s get into real business as we eat well concerning areas where we are believing God.
May God grant you more understanding and bless the works of your hands today.
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY I receive the grace to eat well for my marital destiny

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Jeremiah 15:16 (KJV)Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.
