The Power of Your Faith

The Power of Your Faith

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Let’s look at the power of your faith through the story of Cynthia. Cynthia stood afar watching how the crowd pushed towards the table stand where some girls stood, sharing fliers for a singing audition.

She loved to sing but wasn’t so sure she would make any audition. Her toothbrush was her microphone and her younger brother was no help at all.

She moved towards the crowd, biting her lips and clenching her fists.

“Here goes nothing”, she told herself as she got closer.

There was a lady in the bible who felt just the way Cynthia did. A woman with a long standing health issue stood where Jesus was.

She had heard of how Jesus had been healing people and wondered if He would heal her.

The woman thought, “If I can even touch his coat, that will be enough to heal me.”
Mark 5:28 ICB

After much deliberation, she found her way through the thick crowd around Jesus and touched the hem of His garment. Instantly she was healed and Jesus knew someone had touched Him. He asked who had, the woman came forward, told Him her condition and He further prayed for her (Mark: 5:29-34).

I am sure the woman too said, ” Here goes nothing”, as she went ahead to touch Jesus’ garment. Just like Cynthia did too.

You never know what will happen if you don’t take that much needed step.

Are you still unsure of taking that step forward to accept Christ as your Saviour and Lord? You think He will reject you or that you are not good enough for Him? Jesus Christ will never reject anybody that comes to Him. He loves you more than you could ever imagine.

So, take a bold step today and touch the hem of His garment, let Him help you.

May the help of God always find you, Amen.

Prayer:
Lord, Jesus, like the woman with the issue of blood, I hold on to the hem of your garment. I receive all that I need right now. In Your mighty name, I pray, amen

Action plan:
Reach out to Jesus today and always. Touch His garment daily and as much a stout need to.

How To Exercise Your Faith As A Child

How To Exercise Your Faith As A Child

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Faith is defined as the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen according to the writer of Hebrews.

This means literarily that you have what you do not have. You don’t have it physically, but you know that you have it. That’s faith.

The faith walk isn’t only for adults. As a matter of fact, you will be better an adult, when you start developing your faith from now.

Faith is simply trust in God.

See how the psalmist puts it;

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. – Ps 20:7 [KJV]

The truth is that God is happy when we trust him, when we exercise our faith even as children.

It is not too early to start believing God for things. There is no law that says until you are all grown up before you start to exercise your faith.

What are those things you need? Gift items, toys, games, et cetera, you can believe God for it right away.

God loves it when we trust him, so he is eager to grant our desires whenever we walk in faith.

You can believe that God will bless your parents and they will have the funds to make it available, or that someone somewhere will be moved to get whatever you need for you.

Bottom line is that you too can exercise your faith, and you can start now.

Start now and see the goodness of the Lord.

Prayer:
Lord, help me to act in faith. Amen.

Action point:
Start now.

Declaration:
I act in faith. I am not too young to believe God for supernatural supply. My needs are met.

The One Thing That Will Make Your Relationship Work – Part 2

The One Thing That Will Make Your Relationship Work – Part 2

Reading Time: 2 minutes

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. (John 1:3 KJV)

Here are ten things that God’s word will do for you.

1. God’s word will clean up your past

It doesn’t matter what your past looked like, the word of God, anointed in and of itself, will wipe the slate clean for you! It is almost unbelievable and incredible to the human mind, but in one stroke of sacrifice, Jesus paid the price on your behalf. The past should never hold you to ransom again. You have been made free. The mistakes of yester-years can no longer bear its fangs at you today!

2. God’s word will birth hope for your future

After your past is forgiven and forgotten, the same word of God will birth hope in you. This hope is a necessary ingredient to help you receive the fullness of God. All of a sudden, light dawns on your heart and hope comes alive, that it is not over, after all.

3. God’s word will produce faith in your heart to conquer the world.

Faith comes by hearing God’s word. As you hear and read more of God’s word, faith will rise in you. Why is faith so important? It is with faith that you will wrought victory in God!

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world:and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. (1 John 5:4 KJV)

See it in Message Translation:

Every God–begotten person conquers the world’s ways. The conquering power that brings the world to its knees is our faith. (1 John 5:4 Message)

Did you see that? Faith that comes through God’s word has the power to bring the world and its systems to its knees! Glory to God!

How To Believe God For Things

How To Believe God For Things

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Hello dear, welcome to another time of learning God’s word. Today we will be looking at how to believe God for things. But before we go into that, I trust that you have learnt a lot from these devotionals. Do well to tell your friends about it. It is always good to be in a circle where you all feed on the same thing.

Today’s topic is a very important one, I want to show you how to believe God for things and receive what you believe him for.

God wants you to have what your soul desires even as children, but just like adults, you have to trust and believe him for it.

Have you ever heard of the word FAITH? The bible says without it, it’s impossible to please God.
The bible gives the definition of faith. It can be found in the book of Hebrews.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. – Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)

Faith is being sure of what you hope for and certain of what you do not see. It assures us of things we expect and convinces us of the existence of things we cannot see.

God’s desire is for us to walk in faith, because faith is a journey, he wants you to begin by believing him for a bicycle and then grow into believing him for a house or a car for your parents.

What does it mean to have faith?

Let me give you a practical example.
I know as little children, one of the things you desire to have is a bicycle. Now how do you believe God for it?

1. You pray and ask God for it
Once you pray, believe that God has heard you.

2. Find a bible verse that assures you of what you have received

3. Believe that God is able to give you what you have requested for.

4. Regardless of how long it takes, be sure that you will get it.

5. Don’t allow doubts, the devil or anyone around you to talk you into believing that you are wasting your time.

6. Thank God for it and be conscious of what you have received with hope that it will soon be manifested.

If you follow this through, regardless of how small your faith is, soon you will believe God to help people around you with sicknesses and diseases.

Hoping to hear your testimonies from what you have learnt.

Prayer:
Father, help me to walk in faith. Amen

Action Point:
Pick one thing and believe God for it.

Declaration:
My faith moves mountains.

Five Things You Must Not Do As Singles – Part 2

Five Things You Must Not Do As Singles – Part 2

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Continued from yesterday…

4. Refuse to lose faith

Never lose hope!

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. – Rom 5:2

Your faith is what gives you access to His empowering and sustaining grace. Do not for any reason slide into unbelief. Stay strong in God.

Your wedding will come soon.

Do not lose faith!

That baby is coming! Do not lose faith!

Stay in the word to keep your faith strong always

Faith calls those things which be not as though they are. Faith does deny the fact but superimposes the truth upon facts. And you know what, truth is superior to fact.

Your faith will move mountains. With faith, you will please God and you can get anything done!

5. Refuse to stop giving

Finally, do not stop giving. This is important.

When you stop giving, you tamper with your harvest.

Every time God asks you to give, He has a harvest in mind.

Be faithful in tithing, first-fruit offerings, love offerings, honouring your man of God, giving to the poor, kingdom investments, and partnering with a God-given vision.

Giving is a covenant connector. Giving shows money does not have you. Giving demonstrate your heart for God

All these levels of giving have covenant purposes they fulfill in your life.

Wherever your money is not involved, your heart is not there.

There are sacrificial givings that render curses and everlasting problems irrelevant!

Your refusal to stop giving has something to do with your harvesting on a constant basis.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. – Galatians 6:9 (KJV)

May God grant you more understanding!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I receive strength to do it God’s way

PRAYERS FOR THE DAY
Pray that you will not grow weary

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. – Galatians 6:9 (KJV)

ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY
Put what you’ve learnt into use
