The Kebbi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP,) has moved against five local government chairmen and nine other party members over alleged anti-party activities.
Reports say the decision to suspend the local government chairmen and the other nine members was taken after the party and its leadership were exposed to public ridicule and disrepute.
The announcement of the suspended person was contained in a statement issued by the State PDP Chairman, Mallam Haruna Saidu on Tuesday in Birnin Kebbi.
According to Saidu the suspended party members including ; Nuhu Goma, PDP chairman Zuru LGA; Aminu Sawwa, Chairman Argungu LGA; Abubakar Kudu, chairman Maiyam LGA; Bello Bunza, chairman Bunza LGA and Bello Gulmare, the party chairman of Gwandu LGA, showed total disregard to the party constitution. Also stating that, the affected party members will remain suspended pending investigation for the next three months.
He said; “Others are Zonal ex-officio, Alhaji Ibrahim Manzo; Zonal Vice Chairman Kebbi Central, Alhaji Abubakar Basse; Muhammadu Ruwa, Zonal Vice Chairman Kebbi North, Isiyaku Dauda, and Udulu Manpower the acting State Legal Adviser.
”Also suspended are Yalli Jega, Zonal Women Leader Kebbi Central, Isah Gwandu, Assistant Treasurer and Joshua Bamaiyi,” he added.
