Imo State governor, Emeka Ihedioha yesterday in Owerri, the state capital, swore in 17 commissioners to serve as his cabinet members.
During the swearing in, the governor told them that they were selected to join him in repositioning Imo to its “original pride” and towards making it a model state.
The governor also added that poor performance from them would not be accepted due to the fact that they were chosen in the belief that they would serve Imo diligently.
He said, “I have appointed you as commissioners not to serve only in my government, but to serve the entire state.
“Remember that any decision you take in your various ministries will have direct effect on the general wellbeing of Imo people, so I want all of you to discharge your duties with the fear of God.”
Also, he urged the commissioners to be proficient and ensure they maintained due process in their daily activities, the governor reiterated that his administration was going to reposition the state and called on the people to support policies of the government.
