Prince Diran Odeyemi, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has directed all members of the party that had instituted cases against Senator Ademola Adeleke to withdraw them or face sanctions.
Senator Adeleke was recently declared the winner of September 22 governorship election at Abuja by the Osun governorship election petition tribunal.
However, an Abuja High Court sitting in Bwari has nullified his election, on the grounds of alleged falsification of results.
Odeyemi said any PDP member who has the party’s interest at heart, would not join hands with the opposition to slow down its progress through needless litigations.
Meanwhile, the runner up gubernatorial aspirant during the Osun PDP gubernatorial primaries, Dr Akin Ogunbiyi, through the Director of Strategy, Idera de Movement, Mr. Kunle Omolere, has told newsmen in Oshogbo that he knows nothing about Adeleke’s predicament.
Ogunbiyi said “It is on record that the only case instituted by Dr Ogunbiyi was that of Osun West Senatorial ticket which was brazenly taken away from him after all reconciliations to the contrary. The case had long been decided and the rest is left to posterity”
Ogunbiyi thereafter pledged his allegiance to the PDP, but noted that anyone can head to the court to seek justice if he/she feels cheated.
